Gulaab POV

"I will kill you"

I said and he laughed.

I didn't know but looking at his drunk face, there was an erupted willingness in me to kill him right away. My inner concise was telling me to just slap him right away.

Even after so many fights and his heartfelt apology he dared to drink. I didn't like him drinking at all.

"La la laaaa laa laa laa, hummm ummm laa la ala la" He was murmuring the song and my heart just wanted to kill him even more.

I guided him back to our chamber. While walking back he was about to fall several times but I collected all my strength to make him walk. Powerful me,

"laa laa laa"

I pushed him over the bed when he was drunk and then my sight fell on his footwear.

I moved my hand to his feet to remove them while he was busy singing.

"Even after our so many fights, you dared to drink... Great!"

I said as my heart was feeling weak and hurt. He was Sultan and I surely didn't have any control over his actions but it was my expectation from him. I thought he would not drink after that but he wasn't stopping either changing.

Suddenly he stood up from the bed.

"Why did you bring me here. I want to dance"

He said in a husky tone catching my attention.

"No, you won't. You don't even remember your actions after drinking." I said showing my big eyes to him.

"I wanted to see that girl dancing," He said walking towards the door and I held his hand quickly.

"Stay there, you aren't going anywhere"

I said in a loud voice and he looked at me turning a little.

He walked closer to me and I stood still watching his actions carefully.

He looked into my eyes and said.

"I will go!"

"Why?" I asked little softly not to bring any fight and his gaze stopped into my eyes.

He waited for a moment before replying.

"Because I want to see those girls"

He has gone mad.

He said softly making a cute face.

"Why do you want to see those when you have your... wife with you"

I said looking into his eyes as I wanted to know what he feels for me. Though I knew it but never saw any seriousness.

He came closer and leaned in slowly to my ear muttering that word and took my breath away.

"If you want me to stop... Strip for me,"

His hot breath brought goosebumps on my skin and I shivered.

"No"

I said immediately.

I was about to take a few steps back but he placed his hand behind me stopping me there.

"Why?" He asked slowly.

I waited for a moment and then said.

"Because you are drunk and you will forget everything in the morning"

My voice was extremely slow and timid only audible to us.

"It's good then, I will forget everything."

I blinked nervously and didn't have anything to say.

"Begum,"

He called me slowly making my stomach twisted.

"Strip for me otherwise..."

I lifted my gaze to look at him.

His face serious, dark, and devilish.

"Otherwise?"

I asked.

"Otherwise, I will go there"

A trail of anger rushed in me and I pushed him away.

He was still dreaming of all those girls and he wanted to go then he should leave right away.

"Go to hell, then"

I yelled and hit his chest making my fist stronger.

"I just hate you"

I said while throwing my fist over his chest.

How could he blackmail me?

"You always want what you want. Always. You will drink whenever you want. You pull me closer whenever you want. You push me away whenever you want. It's always you only you. Get the hell out from here"

I said in anger continuously throwing my fist on his chest and suddenly he held both my wrist pushing me over the bed in anger.

I tried to get off his hold but his hold was strong.

He looked into my eyes coming closer and said.

"So, my begum is angry with husband?"

"Go away, go to your dancers" I yelled showing my eyes and he looked into my eyes pinning both my hands over my head tightly.

"Strip for me"

He commanded.

"No, I won't. You are a drunkard and you don't deserve to see it."

"Then who deserves it?"

He asked coming closer while I try to push him away.

"Someone who loves me and understand what I want"

I said.

"What do you want?"

He asked.

"Anything but not you"

I said and he chuckled.

"You will not get anything but me."

"Funny?"

I asked and tried to get off his hold.

"Leave me otherwise you will end up begging me again," I said.

There was silence for a moment and then he leaned in closer and muttered softly in my ear.

"Do you really think I repeat my mistakes?"

My nerves calmed down trying to process what he said and I tried to look into his eyes.

What did he mean?

His eyes seem soft, caring and his hold softens on my hand.

"You aren't drunk?" I asked slowly.

He shook his head and I looked into his eyes.

"You lied to me?"

I asked not believing me.

"I didn't say anything, you believed yourself."

He said.

"You were acting all the time?"

I asked still not believing him. How could he fake it? How dared him?

"No, I just finished what you initiated."

He chuckled and my anger rushed to my nerves.

I didn't know when my hand reached his cheeks slapping him hard. His laughter made me angry.

"Liar"

I instantly regretted it as his face jerked.

I looked at his angry face, bloodshot eyes, and said slowly almost begging.

"I am sorry"

I muttered tried to look at his face.

He adjusted himself to get away from there and I held his wrist stopping him.

"Sultan, I am sorry. It's just a sudden reaction"

He jerked my hand slowly and muttered.

"It's okay,"

Oh my God! I didn't mean to make him angry.

He was walking away from there and my heartbeat raced to no extent.

My heartbeats were racing madly as I tried to stop him.

"Sultan, please I am sorry. It was all of sudden."

"It's okay"

He said and kept walking away.

His hand reached the handle of the door and I quickly came between the door and him.

"Sultan, please I am sorry. I didn't mean it. Please, please, please... I am sorry. I didn't mea-"

"Begum, it's okay"

He said slowly and it even filled me with more shame.

How could I hit him like that?

"No, it's not okay Sultan"

I tried to say.

He ignored me and tried to pull the door.

"Sultan, I am sorry. Please"

Tears collected in my eyes and I begged.

He looked into my eyes and said slowly.

"It's okay"

"Please don't leave"

I requested. I knew I had to make it otherwise I couldn't.

I shouldn't slap him that frequently.

He was just joking and I slapped him. I shouldn't have done it.

"I don't mean to-"

"It's okay. I understand. But now, you understand one thing. You should not do what you can't tolerate."

He said and I felt like getting tears out of my eyes any moment.

"I know, please..." I tried to say.

"And you should know that you need to respect one. I don't say anything to you doesn't mean you can slap me any time, any moment whenever you want. It's still me who let you disrespect me all the time. Otherwise, nobody can't even lift their eyes in front of me. And you clearly seem like misusing my ignorance."

He said and I walked closer to him holding his hand.

"I am sorry, sultan. It's just I can't see you getting drunk and with those ladies and it filled me with anger when you were acting it"

"You initiated that joke, okay"

He said and I slowly lifted my gaze to look into his eyes.

"Forgive me, please"

I said and he looked at my face.

His face softens and looked at me.

He nodded and I smiled slowly.

"I asked you something"

He said and I thinned my eyebrows. My brain processed everything that happened but couldn't figure it out.

"What?"

"Do you want to get rid of this marriage?"

His question hurt me even more now. How the hell this man was so brainless.

"What do you think?" I asked.

He shook his face slowly and said.

"I want to hear from your mouth,"

My gaze was holding his when I said slowly.

"I married you. I live here with you. We have spent countless moments together. You have seen most of me. Looking at you makes my stomach ticklish. Whenever you are close I do stupid things. And... And we have kissed so many times. You have touched my core and sensitive parts. And you still think that I want to go. Unbelievable! Why are you like that Sultan? It's only you who made my soul alive again. I just crave for you. Whatever happened was just my past and it ended. Just like you, I am broken. I also need someone who loves me."

Tears collected in my eyes when I said that in a slow voice.

"How it ended and why? Did they not allow you to marry him?"

I looked away from him as the flashes of past hit my brain and I felt weak in my knees.

I walked towards the bed while saying.

"He betrayed me."

"What? Why?"

While walking after me he asked slowly.

"I met him during the wedding of my friend to Prince Suryadev. I started liking him. He was young, passionate, energetic, and a hard-working King. He was like the best friend of my friend's husband. We had a few meetings and understood that we both started liking each other. I wanted to marry him but afraid of he wanted the same or not. He was loving and caring but his actions started changing very soon. He becomes more angry, irritated with me. But I was deeply and madly in love with him. But then he started drinking and one day... "

Remembering it made my tears flow.

"One day?"

"One day during a play he betted me in a game"

"What the hell?"

His expression changed from shock to anger.

He said and sat beside hugging me almost.

"I will kill him for sure. Who the hell is him?"

"My brother killed him already," I said and looked at him.

"He killed and ruined his empire."

"Who was he?" He asked.

"King of Pratapgarh, Abhidev Pratap singh. Bhai Saheb even brought his sister to our empire to punish her too. He thought she was included in all this too."

"Then? He killed her too?"

He asked and I said.

"Nooo, she is his wife now. She was innocent and won his heart. They got married. You know initially, they fought so many times but eventually, they fell in love. Bhai Saheb hated her a lot."

I looked at his face and he asked.

"Do you hate him?"

"No, I don't hate him. I just hate what he did."

I said and he pulled me closer in a hug.

"I didn't know it. I am sorry." He said and I felt as if I got relief from a huge burden.

But, still, I had a little insecurity as if he would judge me.

"Begum, you know you are so strong."

"I know," I said.

"And,"

He released the hug and looked into my eyes.

"And?"

I asked.

"And you deserve a lot of love. You deserved to be loved and cared for. You know all the while I just thought that I lost everything and punished you for making me fall for you"

I looked into his eyes and asked softly.

"Sultan, are you falling for me?"

"Yes"

He said and my stomach twisted in the wrong way.

"I am for falling for you begum. I am craving for you"

He said and placed his lips over my forehead softly.

"You are all mine. I thought I have done a mistake when I get to know that you loved someone else. I thought I will lose you. I thought you will leave me but you are mine"

He said and snaked his hand around my waist pulling me closer in a hug.

I placed my head over his chest as his rough hand feathered my slightly revealing back.

"You really like troubling me?"

I asked slowly and he said.

"Let this wedding happen then only I will tell what troubles are"
