Chapter Six

TAYLOR*

Aaron left and came back with Mark and a dozen roses beautifully arranged in a gorgeous crystal vase.

"I'm sorry, Taylor, I don't know what came over me. I'm surprised you haven't left me after what I did to you. I'm trying so hard to change, to be the man you deserve. I don't know what's wrong with me that I can't get my shit together. Please don't leave me, Taylor; I would be lost without you," Aaron pleaded on his knees with my hands entwined with his.

"I do deserve better, Aaron, I love the roses, but Mark and I are leaving. I can't do this anymore," I said as I took my hands from Aaron, and with tears running down my face, removed my engagement ring and laid it on the counter.

"You are going to throw away ten years because I made one mistake while I was drunk. I didn't mean to. I swear I'll change; please don't leave me, please Taylor, please stay," Aaron pleaded as he pushed me up against the refrigerator, tears streaming down his face and kissed me.

"I love you, Aaron, I'll stay, but one more mishap, and Mark and I are gone, do you understand? I can't do this anymore. You've cheated on me countless times, you are an angry drunk, and you forcing yourself on me was the last straw. Do you understand what I'm saying? No more drinking period, not even casually, no alcohol period," I said as I grabbed a towel from the counter and cleaned the tears from Aaron's face.

"I promise you I'll never drink again; you and Mark are my world,"

"What do you have going on today? I thought if things worked out, Wade and I could take you out for lunch?" Connor asked as he handed me a frozen mocha and chocolate muffin.

"Thank you for this; you know me well. But I don't think that's a good idea Aaron would freak out. You know he has eyes everywhere, and he and I have been doing so well for a month now. I don't want to cause any problems or upset him in any way," I said and then took a drink from my mocha. I closed my eyes and savored the exquisite taste of rich chocolate and espresso.

Connor, Wade, and I have reconciled, and they have both been spoiling me each day with breakfast and lunch. I'm sure I've gained a few pounds. Connor and Wade make sure at least one of them is in the building at all times. They only worked out in the field on days when they knew that Blaze or Jace would be here.

As requested, I've started self-defense training with Lyra and Vega, and Connor and Wade take turns attacking me to have hands-on training. Aaron is 6'4 and weighs in at 237 pounds of hard muscle. Connor and Wade come in pretty close to Aaron at being 6'3 and weighing 228 pounds. If Aaron ever touches me again, he would regret it. However, since Aaron and I have gone a month without any incidences, I'm sure I will never have to use what I have learned. Lyra, Vega, Wade, Connor, and I met three nights in my parent's basement to work on training. Aaron has been busy with his campaign, so he hasn't questioned anything. I make sure Mark and I are home by seven o'clock each night to have dinner ready by seven-thirty when Aaron comes home from work.

"Wade and I would protect you; you know that right. It would help if you didn't have to live in fear of the next time Aaron breaks; you shouldn't have to hide our friendship; this doesn't seem right, Taylor. You need to get away from him and move on with your life," Connor said as he walked towards the door.

"I love him, Connor, we have a son together, and we've spent the last ten years of our lives together. We owe it to Mark to make things work. It's not that easy to walk away," I watched as Connor walked out of my office.

Connor is right; I shouldn't have to hide our friendship, but I know that Aaron would never be ok with Connor, Wade, and I being friends. Aaron hates that I work in a building where I'm the only woman present. How would he react to our friendship? I needed to tell Aaron the truth, though, and then go from there. Tonight would be the night I told Aaron about my friendship with Connor and Wade. I'm surprised he hasn't already figured it out; perhaps he has and is just waiting for me to tell him myself.

Aaron didn't come home from work, and he wasn't answering my calls or text. It was a Friday night, and Mark was at my parent's house, so by ten o'clock, I decided I would go by Aaron's office to make sure he was ok. He would generally message me when he was going to be late, so I was worried. I grabbed him some take-out on the way. I was sure that he hadn't stopped working long enough to eat.

When I got to his office, only two cars remained in the parking garage. I instantly regretted coming to check on Aaron. I had a feeling he was in there with some woman, most likely his secretary. For some reason, I wanted to see him cheating with my own eyes. It would make it easier for me to leave him once and for all.

I quietly made my way up the stairs to his office, and the door was wide open as if he didn't care if someone walked in. His secretary Josie was riding him moaning in pleasure, and another woman had her pussy in his mouth, and I could tell he loved every minute of having two young women fucking him.

The woman riding his face caught a glimpse of me standing in the doorway. "Would you like to join in? We could make room; you are gorgeous," she moaned out as she rode Aaron's face. His fingers tensed up on her hips, and Aaron threw her off of him.

"Shit Josie I told you to lock up," Aaron yelled as he pushed Josie off of him, and I ran down the hall.

"Taylor, wait, Taylor, please come back," Aaron yelled as he ran after me.

Aaron caught up and tackled me, landing on top of me as we fell to the floor.

"Why are you here? You never come to my office. It doesn't mean anything. I only love you, but your boring, and I need young blood. Do you get that? I need this, and I need you. It's a fetish I have, and I know damn well you would never have a threesome with me. I need you to let me do this," Aaron yelled as I squirmed below him.

"Get off of me, Aaron; I'm done with you; you can have all the whores you want from now on. You are free; let me go," I screamed as Josie and the other woman ran down the hall and out of sight. What, they weren't going to help me? They were going to leave me there with Aaron.

Aaron got off of me and helped me up. I thought he would force himself on me again, but he didn't. I didn't smell any alcohol on him either; he couldn't blame all of this on alcohol. Aaron was just a lying, cheating sack of shit no matter what.

"Taylor, I'm sorry I love you, only you, but I need this. I don't expect you to understand, but I don't want to lose you. I need you. What if we have an open relationship? You can see other people, and I can continue with my threesome fetish, but we will be married and always come home to each other," Aaron pleaded as he took the condom off of his limp dick.

I needed to get tested again for sure. Who knew how often he did this? No amount of toothpaste would ever get this sickening taste out of my mouth. How many times had he come home to me and kissed me after having his tongue up someone elses cunt.

"You are sick, you need help, and you are going to do it without me, Aaron. I'm done for good this time; I deserve better; I should have left you five years ago when you cheated on me the first time. You are never going to change," I said as I took the engagement ring off of my finger and placed it in his hand. I turned and walked off, just to have him grab me and throw me into the wall.

"You aren't going anywhere; you are mine and only mine. I can fuck whoever I damn well, please. You are nothing without me; you need me just as much as I need you. I'll ruin you and your little Cunningham friends. You leave me, and I'll make damn sure their business goes bust. Is that what you want?" Aaron seethed.

"Nonno," I huffed, and Aaron shoved the ring back on my finger.

"Good get home; I won't be coming home tonight; I have to finish what I started. Josie, you two can come back now. Taylor and I are done here," Aaron hollered out and walked back into his office. Josie rounded the corner with the other woman, and they both laughed at me as they walked back to Aaron's office.

I called Wade to let him know what had happened, and he and Connor would be meeting me at the house to help me pack. I would be staying with my parents for a couple of weeks until I could get an apartment for Mark and me. I was done with Aaron running my life; it was time for me to take charge and start fighting back.
