Chapter 1“The tryrant and villainess ” part1
The mansion of El Dreadborne was never quite peaceful.
Today, a berserk sea serpent had appeared in the mansion fountain, thrashing and spraying water everywhere. Servants were running around, panicking and trying to fight it off.
Meanwhile, inside the balcony there was a boy 19 years old with brown hair and black eyes with proper noble clothes and a sword on his table with cake and coffee
Nexas El Dreadborne sat calmly in the lounge, trying to sip his fifth cup of coffee. He sighed.
<This is… normal here but it's too loud>
“AI! You’re the head maid! Why are you taking so long to kill that monster?!”
he shouted.
AI, the head maid of the mansion and personal assistant to the first child of Duke Chaos El Dreadborne, remained expressionless.
She wielded her magic thread weapon with precision, wrapping the serpent like a giant gift box.
Nexas yawned.
“Where did this guy even come from? I thought I would clear all the monsters near the mansion ”
AI, look at him
“this… is the twins’ pet?”
“When did those troublemakers get this? Did Father even allow it?” he added, eyes narrowing.
AI looked at him with her usual calm, expressionless face.
It’s always like this, AI Cool and quiet and some time dumb And… the girls only follow his orders.
Nexas let out a long sigh.
“Whatever. Tell the twins to take care of this pet properly. And never let it enter my wing again.”
“Yes, master,” AI replied.
“By the way, master, a letter has arrived for you,” she added, handing him a sealed envelope.
Nexas took it, observing the seal: teal blue, with a giant whale emblem of the Duke.
<I guess… it’s time the game starts People don’t know, but this world… it’s actually an otome game.>
He remembered the truth.
He had been reborn from the modern world, a normal man who once helped his little sister play the game Light Princess.
He had completed it for her.
three month ago
Now, at eighteen age , he had regained his past life memories—and with it, the hidden truths of this world.
A few minutes later, Nexas sat in his office, surrounded by papers and his usual clutter.
He opened the letter carefully.
AI, standing silently by the door, finally spoke.“Master… you might not know this, but this letter comes from the villainess’ family ”
“There are a lot of things that happen when you don't attend the prince banquet”
Nexas looked at her, unimpressed.
“AI… do you take me for an idiot? I know what happened past day and what ridiculous thing my father decided”
She blinked, deadpan.
“No… well, yes? I mean… no. But you do look like an idiot sometimes.”
He sighed.
“Thank you for your… correction.”
He began reading the letter.
The villainess—according to the main story—was the prince’s fiancée.
But suddenly Sweet, beautiful… and perhaps a commoner, but clever enough girl come to seduce every male lead in the kingdom and rise in status.
That was the typical otome game plot.
But the truth… this game was far more complicated.
“This isn’t just a simple romance,”Nexas muttered to himself.
<There’s action, political intrigue… and this story actually merges three different novels into one i don't regain full memory of my past life but still somehow i remember details maybe slowly i regain all memories>
He frowned, reading carefully.
For context, the El Dreadborne family—his family—was a tyrant family in the original game.
When the villainess’ engagement broke, the kingdom had to intervene to give her a proper groom, equal to her rank.
In the original game, Nexas himself was a mid-level villain.
He would die at the hands of the heroine and four overzealous admirers, while the villainess’ fiancée—his counterpart—would move forward without consequence.
He shook his head, feeling the weight of the story’s inevitability.
<And that… would have been my future. A villain and villainess is doomed to die, while the heroine and her suitors took over the story.>
Nexas frowned again, setting the letter down.
“This… isn’t going to happen to me. Not this time when I already found this”
Nexas looked at AI with a raised eyebrow.
“So… basically, this letter is for my future father-in-law? He wants me to visit his mansion and stay a few days?”
AI nodded eagerly.
“Yes, master. So we need to start packing!”
Nexas frowned.
“Why are you more excited than me?”
She tilted her head, grinning.
“Why not? We’re going to meet the mistress of the house!”
Nexas rolled his eyes.
<She’s already accepted her as my wife… in her head at least.>
“Shut up, and do your work. We’re not leaving today yet may tomorrow”
“Yesss!” she cheered a little too loudly.
He frowned at her tone.
“What’s wrong with her today?”
Nexas sighed.
“Well… I don’t really care and want to know what’s happened since her engagement broke, or what she’s doing now
“ I'm tryrant not to have husband material and dim just 19 years old what my parents are thinking right now to accept this order from your majesty”
<The memory I regained was from three months ago before my 19 birthday, when i was eighteen everything started. Basically… I can’t stop the event already happened>
AI’s eyes widened, holding an impossible pile of items.
“Master! These won’t fit in the bag!”
Nexas stared at her hands.
There were books, a small sword, alchemy potions, toys, even a photo album.
“Where did you even get all that?” he asked, bewildered.
AI blinked innocently.
“But I need to show all this to our madam!”
Nexas groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose.
“I… don’t think she’s going to care about my childhood toys right now. Just put them back. Now. Go.”
She huffed but obediently started returning the items, though she muttered under her breath about how boring masters could be.
Nexas watched her, shaking his head.
Moonlight spilled across the mansion, and almost everyone was asleep.
Nexas, however, was still at his desk, buried in paperwork.
After a few hours, he leaned back and stretched, taking a small break.
Sitting on the window edge, he gazed at the silver light outside.
"The villainess… I’ve never met her family. ”
<I don’t even know who she really is. And my memories… they’re still faded. I can’t clearly remember the faces of everyone involved. Why did I regain these memories now?> he thought, sighing.
“Asking questions didn’t change anything. Isn’t that the same for her?”
He rubbed his temples.
< I wonder how she’s handling all this. After Humiliated in front of society… rejected by her fiancé…because of other women>
He paused, thinking carefully.
“Maybe… I should give her a gift. Something small. Would she smile if I did that?”
Nexas looked down at the quiet mansion below, feeling a strange mix of curiosity and responsibility.
< I guess I’ll find out soon enough.>
Early the next morning, the mansion slowly woke up.
Nexas finished his breakfast in silence, his expression calm as usual.
Across the table, Ai was already energetic, standing straight with sparkling eyes.
“So, Master,” Ai said brightly, “when are we leaving?”
Nexas wiped his mouth and stood up.
“Tomorrow morning,” he replied. “We’ll leave and go to Silver Lantern Bazaar ”
Ai froze for half a second.
“…Only tomorrow? Silver Lantern Bazaar Why???”
“Yes,” Nexas said. “I still have work today. And I don’t plan to rush into my future in-laws’ mansion like an idiot.”
Ai tilted her head.
“But the carriage is ready. And I already informed the guards and send letter on your behalf”
Nexas stopped walking and slowly turned his head.
“…You did what? I'm asking again why are you so excited to meet her did father and mother told you”
Ai smiled proudly.
“As your loyal assistant, I prepared everything in advance that my work”
Nexas sighed deeply.
“Sometimes I wonder who is really in charge of this house.”
Ai clasped her hands behind her back.
“You are, Master. I just make sure you don’t escape your fate.”
Nexas looked out the window toward the long road leading away from the mansion.
“Tomorrow cancel, then,” he muttered.
“We head to the villainess’s family estate and land today”
For some reason, his chest felt slightly heavy.
<A few days’ visit…. Let’s see what kind of trouble. is waiting for me >
he stand up to go
Nexas paused mid-step and glanced at Ai.
“By the way,” he said casually,
“what kind of things do girls usually like?”
Ai stopped walking. Slowly, very slowly, she turned her head.
“…Master.”
“Yes?”
Ai stared at him with clear disappointment.
“You are truly hopeless in this area.honestly ”
Nexas frowned.
“What did you just say?”
Ai sighed and crossed her arms.
“Let me guess. ”
“You are thinking about giving a jewel gemstone or maybe accessories as gift, right?”
Nexas looked away.
“…Maybe Yes”
Ai shook her head.
“A woman who has been humiliated by society, abandoned by her fiancé, and pushed into a political marriage does not want flashy jewels.”
Nexas raised an eyebrow.
“Then what? I do. Miss genius”
Ai counted on her fingers.
“First, sincerity. ”
“Second, effort. ”
“Third, something meaningful, not expensive.”
Nexas stared at her.
“That’s vague.”
Ai leaned closer, her eyes sharp.
“If you give her something that shows you actually thought about her feelings, she will remember it.”
Nexas went silent.
<Meaningful…Something that won’t remind her of being a ‘villainess’.>
Ai tilted her head and smirked.
“Of course, if you mess this up, she might hate you forever.”
Nexas clicked his tongue.
“You didn’t have to add that we already aren't in love so please stop curse on your own master”
Ai smiled innocently.
“I did.”
Nexas exhaled slowly.
“…Fine. I’ll think about it so let's go”
Ai nodded, satisfied.
“That alone is already progress, Master.”
