The news are going crazy, Matthew is no longer hiding and that son of a bitch just made my first day at the new job stressful. Jessica ranted to Gwen when she returned as Gwen smiled. welcome Jessica. Gwen said as Jessica took a seat close to her.

I am so stressed out, Jessica complains as she drains a blood bag without worrying about finesse.

Gwen glanced at the bag and then Jessica face. yes, I can see that you had a rough day, you even cursed and I dont think that I have ever seen you do that.

exactly, people are asking why Matthew switched and what is going on with the council. They can sense all is not well, this can only mean that it might escalate and then we will have to come up with something else.

She found Vince in his study, holed up in one of the comfort chairs close to the window, a chair she has never seen him in.

what are you doing here? Gwen asks in a soft tone but Vince raised his drink at her direction. you know we cant get drunk on that. Gwen added gently in a soothing tone.

times like this I envy humans for the ability to escape to oblivion once in a while. Vince said as he took another mouthful.

Vince said bitterly and when Gwen did not say anything he took another drink and continue. times like this I wonder why I even bother with any of these. The world as a whole is too corrupt. Maybe we would be better off living in the dark ages.

I get so fucking tired of seeing the worst part of life every single time. When will I see the good things that life has to offer? Vince asks as Gwen smiled sadly and out her hand on Vince shoulders.

you see the good times always but you see it as not important, you get your reward for keeping the world safe but you dont see it as a reward.
