Chapter 42

"I mean it sweetheart." He told her as if Stacey wasn’t with them. He was looking intently at her.

"B-But you have to woo me the traditional way." she said.

"I will..." His eyes were now on her lips. Stacey cleared her throat.

"Well I heard everything. All is well then. No one is to blame but you Blake if you won’t do as you said.” Stacey said with one brow raised.

Blake tore his eyes from her lips and is now directly looking at her eyes. "You have my word. This time I will do things right." He said in a serious voice.

Heather bit her bottom lip which made him transfer his eyes on her lips again. She saw desire in them. She felt her body came alive. She missed their wild lovemaking but she had to wait until he had proven himself to her. But with what he said, she knew that he was finally hers. Stacey got up from the chair.

"Since everything is good we have to go back inside Heather! They are waiting for us. You can go now Blake. You’ve finished your talk anyway.”

Heather hesitated but she also stood up from her chair. She and Blake could have their time together soon. “Thanks for the chocolate Blake.” She murmured.

He leaned on his chair then looked at her older sister then back to her. After a while he also got up and got money from his pocket and put it on the table. "No. I am coming with you. I have nothing to do at home and Eve is in charge of the bar tonight." he said nonchalantly.

She and Stacey looked at each other. She felt that Blake might do something since James was inside the bar. She was afraid that he wouldn’t be able to control his jealousy. "Y-You can't." she said when she moved her eyes back to him.

"I can sweetheart." he said confidently taking her by the elbow. He made a gesture with his hand, "After you, my future sister-in-law." he said to Stacey while smiling knowingly.

What he said made Heather gaped. "Future sister-in-law?" She asked and he just let out his clit-tingling smile.

Frowning, Stacey started walking. "I hope you will not make a scene Blake." She said as they went out of the café..

"As I've told Heather, I won't.. unless I have to."

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Heather asked him.

"You know the answer to that sweetheart." he told her.

"I don't. I asked you about that a while ago but you didn’t give me an answer."

"Unless a man look at you like the way I do, touch any part of your body or talk to you in a manner that I don't like, I won't beat him." he said.

Her sister rolled her eyes while she groaned in frustration.

Before they were in front of the entrance, he said to Stacey, “Can you go ahead? I just need to say something to Heather. It will be quick."

Stacey pouted but just got inside. Blake led her to the side of the bar. He pulled her to him by her waist. “Sorry sweetheart, I need to touch you and be near you. Just let me hold you for a minute please." he pleaded.

He was hiding her from the passers by. His back was on them. He bowed his head and whispered in her ear. “Okay, let's make a deal. I won't smack assholes but each time that I see anything I don't like, I will kiss you and we do some heavy petting." he said in a breathy voice.

Her eyes widened but she had to admit that his words were making her body react. She had to do something. She couldn’t easily give in. She pushed him away from her. "A-Are you crazy?" she asked while sounding incredulous.

He had his clit-tingling smile on his face again. "I am fucking serious sweetheart." His eyes were on her lips.

"Heather!"

They looked at Nick. Blake murmured a cursing word. She frowned. She felt that Nick wasn’t yet done with his little revenge on Blake.

"Let’s get back inside.” Her brother-in-law ordered. He went to her and was about to reach for her hand but Blake blocked him with his body.

Both men were hunky and almost of the same height and she felt a bit nervous.

"She's with me so I will bring her back inside." Blake said curtly.

She moved from behind him. She positioned herself between them. "Nick we were about to get in." she said while looking at Blake. She tried to push him a little away from her brother-in-law by putting her hands on his abs.

Though she felt that he won’t start a brawl with Nick, just to be on the safe side, she came between them. She could feel the tension in the air.

"Nick it’s okay really. We will go together. Please just wait for us inside.”

“Honey!" It was Stacey' s voice. "Let's get inside! You are causing a scene here."

They do make quite an interesting sight. A petite and very pretty young woman who looked tensed was between two tall, muscled and very good-looking men who were in a fight mode .She seemed to be trying to stop them from smacking each other.

For a moment no one reacted. Then Nick let his wife pull him inside the bar. She turned to Blake when they were gone.

"Please don’t start a fight with Nick. Promise me.”

His face looked grimmer. “Why the fuck not? Can’t he defend himself? Are you worried about him?!"He asked angrily. .His nostrils were flaring.

She gasped. "What are you saying?" she asked.

"Don't you think I don’t know that you were infatuated with him?! And how do you feel now that you can see him anytime you want?” he asked gratingly.

She raised her hand to slap him but he caught it. "Oh no you don't my princess!" He said then he got the chocolates in her hand before he threw her on his shoulder.

“Put me down!” she yelled.

He kept on walking to the parking lot. Two women saw then and they stared at them in awe.

"Blake! I said put me down!”

He ignored her. He opened his car and let her down then shoved her in. He put the chocolates on her lap.

"You really are a barbaric beast!" she hissed.

He was leaning towards her and his face was very near hers, he said chillingly. “You got that right sweetheart! So don't do anything that I won't like! I can be worse! Remember that!” He then straightened and slammed the door.

She knew that she won't get far if she got off the car so she just sat sulkily.

"Buckle up!" He ordered when he got in.

.No one spoke during the entire journey. She didn’t ask him where they were going. She just texted Stacey to tell her Blake just wanted time alone. She didn’t want her to worry. He stopped in front of a well-known restaurant.

"Let’s have dinner first sweetheart." he said gently which surprised her.

She was taken aback when he reached out to unbuckle her. He even open the door for her. Gone was the barbaric monster a while ago. He was now acting like a gentleman. He choose a table far from the others.

"I'm sorry for doing that sweetheart. I was really pissed. If I didn’t take you away I probably would have hit your brother-in-law. He is too much!" He raked his hand through his hair.

. "What you said back there is disgusting! What do you think I’d do? Seduce my sister’s husband? I will never do that!” she said through gritted teeth.

"Sorry princess. Eve told me that you liked him before. And the thought of you seeing him all the time is killing me." He said agonizingly.

She rolled her eyes. "For Pete's sake Blake! That was a long time ago! At some point in the past I have accepted that he loves Stacey! You really are impossible! Gosh! He is my brother-in-law so can you just stop being jealous of him?" she hissed.

He leaned forward on the table and took her hand "Sweetheart, you know how I am. By now , you should just try to understand me.” he said..

"I am trying to. It is what I have been doing. Understanding you. I always explain things to you. But sadly even if I explain everything you still get angry.”

He squeezed her hand. "This is me princess. I ‘ve been like this since we met again. I became very possessive and a jealous freak." he admitted. His tone had a trace of a certain emotion.

Maybe it was time that she assured him that he won’t lose her. She chewed the inside of her bottom lip before speaking. "Blake I won’t be any other man’s girlfriend. I just want to feel how to be wooed. You will be my first boyfriend.."

"And your last!"

She sighed before speaking again.” This is also difficult for me. I was really hurt with what happened. You promised that you will court me to prove that I am not just like your bed warmers. Please can you just do that? Give that to me please. I won’t do what your ex did to you. Trust me.”

He didn't comment on her last statement. Instead he said, “ And about Sam, I told you the truth. There has been no one else but you. My only mistake is my issue about serious relationships but I will do things right this time. .I am not used to having this feelings I have for you. I can't help being violent when I see assholes a around you.”

"Okay just do your best to control you anger and I promise you too that it will just be you." she said.

Blake closed his eyes as if savoring what she said. He was relieved and the feeling was overwhelming. He opened his eyes and kissed her hand. “You won’t regret giving me another chance sweetheart. “ His voice was full of emotions.

She sighed and nodded. “Please don’t waste it. I am willing to give us another try. “ she murmured.

His eyes narrowed and glinted. This time, he kissed her palms then put the other one on one side of his face as he held the other one.

"I swear sweetheart. I will do everything to prove to you how much I love you.." he said while looking at her eyes. ”I do love you sweetheart.”
