Chapter 53

Her eyes narrowed and she stood up from the couch. She was feeling annoyed with him and his ex again. Why was that bitch's number still saved on that pervert’s phone? And why did he need to go to the kitchen to take the call? He even tried to hide the caller’s name from her. She gritted her teeth. She had been doing everything to gain his trust. She even tried to ignore what she heard from his female staff about his phone conversation with Kristel. And now he did this? Well she would retaliate. Since she had proven that he was scared to lose her, she wasn’t that afraid of his anger unlike before. She made a low sound from the back of her throat because his ex seemed to be doing something that would definitely cause a problem between them.

Blake came back to the bedroom only to be surprised. His forehead creased when he saw what his girlfriend had on. She was wearing an off white tube dress which hugs her body like a second skin.

"Hi sweetheart. Are you done with your phone call?" she asked as she dabbed perfume behind her ears. Heather made her tone very casual. She could see him through her vanity mirror. She swallowed a smile when she saw how grim his face was. She arose to get a pair of high heels.

"Why the fuck are you wearing that?!" he rasped.

She turned and looked at him innocently. "Sweetheart, I have cramps so I can’t exercise. I will just come with you to the gym. I put this on for our date. I want to look good and feel comfortable. According to the forecast it is hot and humid outside." she said while putting on her footwear.

Blake clenched his jaw. He couldn't deny that his woman looked so damn good. If he were a different man, he would be proud to be seen with her. But he was overly possessive so how she looked like now and what she had on was a big issue .

She came close to him. She touched his jaw gently before tiptoeing to give him a light kiss on the lips. "I am yours sweetheart. Anyway, you can sock anyone who will look at me with malice.” Her voice sounded husky.

His eyes turned into slits before he pulled her to him by her waist. "Don't ever forget that! You better behave, sweetheart not unless you want me to hit anyone!" He threatened.

She nodded. "By the way who were you talking to?”

His gaze went from her eyes to her lips then kissed her on the cheek before releasing her. "No one important. There is just a little problem at my parents’ house." He said as he ran his fingers through his hair. “We have to go to the gym now sweetheart. Give me a minute I will put on my shirt.”

She secretly gritted her teeth. Obviously he didn’t want to tell her about his phone conversation and his caller which fueled her anger more.

They were eating in a Mexican restaurant. Heather saw a familiar face entered the place. It was Samantha and she was with a guy. They were holding hands. The other woman didn’t see them since Blake chose a table at the far corner.

"What are you looking at?" He asked her with a heavy frown. He turned to where her eyes were directed.

"It's Samantha sweetheart. I know the guy she is with." She said. She frowned when he cursed. "Shh! Don’t you know the guy?” ! She asked.

"Who the fuck is that asshole and why do you know him?!”

She rolled her eyes. "Sweetheart, he is one of the condo’s resident. I know he is married.”

Blake sighed heavily and continued eating. "Don't mind them sweetheart. Go eat your food. After eating I will drop you off at the condo. I need to do something first. Do you want to go to the bar with me later?” he asked.

She knitted her brows. "What will you do?" she asked, sounding doubtful.

He raised his face to look at her. "I have to deal with a problem.”

"A woman?" She asked with one brow raised..

"What?" He sounded irritated..

"Be careful sweetheart. If you want to see my tigress side again, then continue being shady." she said in a calm voice.

"And what the hell do you mean by that?” He asked with a heavy frown. He looked uncomfortable.

"What do you think?" she asked with a fake smile.

"I am not good at guessing, so can you please enlighten me sweetheart?" he asked dryly.

"Forget it. Just remember that whatever you do, I can do too sweetheart." she said with a sugary voice and his eyes turned half-slits.

"Are you lovers bickering?" asked a female voice.

They both looked at Samantha.

"I thought you broke up after what I told Blake about you and Kenji. Well I guess your convincing power is really great. Babe, I will just be here once you get tired of her." She said huskily as she touched Blake's shoulder.

Heather stopped herself from throwing the guacamole on Sam’s face. She was already annoyed with Blake and Kristel and now Samantha was fueling her anger more.

Blake removed her hand and in a cold voice said, "Stop it Sam."

"Did your date ditch you? " She asked the other woman in a controlled voice.

"Rod? Of course not. He is on the phone. I went to the restroom then I saw you. I just wanted to say hi."

She shrugged her shoulders then drank her juice before speaking again. "If you will not leave us alone, I might just retaliate for all the things you've done to me. I haven’t forgotten the last time we talked." she said calmly.

Blake was just silent as he listened to them. He knew Heather wouldn’t make a scene.

Sam laughed sarcastically. "And what will you do?" she sneered.

"Seems like you found someone else when you went a lot of times at the condo to see Blake. Gosh Sam! Are you that desperate that you even go out with married men?”

The other woman’s face paled. "I-I d-don't know what you are saying." she stammered.

"Oh come on Sam! Are you really like that? You go out with men you don’t really know?" she asked and sighed . "I happen to know your date's wife." she lied.

Blake frowned.

"W-What?" Asked Sam.

"Yes! His wife is a hellcat. Last week, I saw her slapped a woman who seemed to be flirting with her husband in the pool. She even dragged her by her hair and the poor thing wasn’t able to fight back.” She wanted to test if Samantha would believe her.

Samantha made a step backwards. "Rod and I are just friends."

"Really? Tell that to the marines Sam. You are not the type who would just befriend a man. You are a whore remember? Maybe I should tell his wife about you."

"You wouldn't dare!" Sam’s eyes went wide.

She got her phone and pretended to call someone. The other woman hurriedly headed for the door. Her date followed her.She smirked before sipping her drink.

Blake’s eyes were on her while he had his arms across his chest. His back was leaning on the seat. He had a grin as he eyed his clever and very lovely girlfriend. He chuckled. His woman was really incredible. "Sam was white as a sheet, sweetheart. For a moment, you almost got me believe that you really know that man's wife." he said.

She put down her glass while looking at his eyes. "You know what I am capable of doing. I won't get back by using physical force. What I can do is worse." .

His smile disappeared.

She leaned on the chair. "So if you are planning to cheat on me sweetheart, think again." she said in a honeyed tone.

“What made you think that I will do something like that?” He asked coldly.

She played with her glass. "Aren’t you already doing it?”

Blake's brows creased. "And what do you mean by that question?" he asked sounding irritated.

She leaned forward on the table. "I heard from some of your staff that you talked to Kristel yesterday. I saw her name on your phone’s screen when you got a call today. You did talk to her and I have a feeling that she is the problem you said that you need to deal with.”

Blake's lips became a thin line.
