Chapter 9

Heather found herself going without a protest. It was a good thing that there was no one inside the dressing room. Blake closed the door after him. She was hugging herself as she sat down on the chair in front of a big mirror. She was looking at her reflection. The way she badly treated her half-sister was all coming back to her. She used to call her chubi (bitch) because she was jealous of her. Stacey was strong, intelligent and independent .Everything that she was not. Nick was right. Stacey had a lot of good qualities and not even half of them, she could have in this lifetime. Everybody liked her half-sister. Stacey had a husband who really loved her. She felt she would never be happy like her and no one would love her like Nick loved her sister.

Who would want a bitch like her?

Maybe all these was her karma which she had to face. She had been a very bad to her half-sister and she had never been a good daughter. Whatever it took, she would accept what had been happening so she could finally move om after she was able to pay for her mistakes.

I am stronger than I think. I deserve all this. I can handle all these. She told herself . Self-pity wouldn’t do her good.

Blake on one hand was just looking at Heather’s reflection. He could see that she looked pensive .She was physically present but her mind seemed to be wandering. But there was no denying that she was beautiful. Their eyes locked and Heather’s face hardened.

Looks like she's back to earth! He thought.

He brushed his hair with his right hand. He preferred to see her being her old self than what he had witnessed out there. He didn’t like what he was feeling though. He felt protective towards her and he knew that it was not good to have such feelings towards her or any female for that matter.

When Heather met Blake's eyes, her anger towards him surfaced. If he didn’t keep on making a pass at her, none of this would have happened. Vanessa wouldn’t have been violent to her if she didn’t see him kissing her.

“After what Vanessa did to me, consider me paid for telling you that you have a sexually transmitted disease. I hope you will leave me alone for good after tonight." She said and her voice was steely.

Blake crossed his arms on his chest .He didn't say anything. He was just looking at her. She rose from the chair to leave.

"You are never leaving this room until we are done talking." Blake said which halted her.

"We don’t have anything to talk about. I want to be left alone. I will do my best so our paths won’t cross again. I will find a new condo."

His expression turned dark. He didn’t like what she said.

"You don’t need to do that.” he said coldly.

"Then leave me alone!!" she snapped.

"I can't do that. I want you in my bed." he said all of a sudden.

Her eyes widened in disbelief and she turned around to face him. "WHAT?!"

"I want you to be my bedmate." He said matter-of-factly.

She gaped and she raised her hand to slap him but he caught it before it hit his cheek. She tried to get her hand back but Blake didn't want to let go. He pulled her towards him. Their faces were almost touching. She had to raise her face to though she was wearing high heels.

"You good for nothing pervert! I am not like your whores!" "We are both adults sweetheart .Though we started off on the wrong foot and we seem to be rubbing each other the wrong way, as much as I hate to admit it, I find you very desirable. I am sure that you feel the same way." His eyes were molten as he eyed her lips.

Her breathing became shallow. "Don't call me sweetheart! "

He grabbed her other wrist because he felt that she was going to use her other hand to hit him. He might be taller, stronger and bigger than her but out of rage she was ready to use all her strength to hurt him physically but then she suddenly realized that her breasts which were covered by her lacy black bra were now exposed. The front of his vest which she was wearing was now open. His gray blue eyes turned dark as he looked at her cleavage which fueled her anger.

"You are the most assuming, conceited and disgusting man I have ever met! If a lot of women want to be your toy then I am not one of them! I'd rather buy a dildo than become your sex object!"

His expression became hard. They looked at each other for several seconds before he finally released her. He then got out of the room which really surprised her. She expected him to be more persistent. She held the two ends of his vest together with her hands to cover her breasts. Raising her chin up a little, she also walked out of the dressing room

Blake and Eve were in the car.

Since the former’s fiancé was out of the country, Blake picked her up and dropped her off her unit to make sure she was safe. A lot of things might have changed in him but not his being protective towards his cousin.

Eve was still angry with Blake’s ex, Kristel . The woman was the reason why her cousin had changed in so many ways. Of course she wanted Blake to have a new girlfriend but she couldn’t imagine that would be Heather. Her best friend’s half-sister was bad news.

"Are you crazy? Are you forgetting who she is? She is Stacey’s evil half-sister for crying out loud!” Eve sounded distressed.

Blake didn't react to what she said . He was just concentrating on his driving. She saw how he looked at Heather. She knew her cousin too well because they were like siblings. Blake was physically attracted to Heather, she was sure of that.

"Okay I know she is very pretty but please Blake, not her!”

She was worried that Stacey’s half-sister would be worse than Kristel. The latter was timid and dressed very simply but they were shocked that she was in fact cheating Blake with someone. Heather openly flirted with men so she was definitely not going to be good for Blake. Her cousin would just be in deeper shit because of Heather.

"You think she is worse than Kristel right?" Blake asked tonelessly without looking at her.

Eve sighed. She felt it would be better to tell Stacey. She would message her later. It would be best to stop Blake from pursuing Heather as soon as possible.

"I don’t personally know Heather because I had never hung out with her. She wasn’t close to Stacey either so even my friend doesn’t really know her. From what I’ve heard, she is bratty and she has done a lot of bad things to her own sister. She likes parties. She is happy-go-lucky and a flirt. I am not sure though if those men around her before were her boyfriends. One thing is a fact though, she had wanted Nick for herself.”.

She saw Blake gripped the steering wheel so she stopped talking. It seemed that her cousin didn’t like what she revealed.

"I don't want her to be my girlfriend. You know that I am done with relationships like that.” Blake said in a very cold voice.

"Cuzz can you just leaver Heather alone? I don’t like her but she is still Stacey's sister and I don’t want you to just bed her. Though she was very bad to Stacey, my friend put up with her because she loves her. Now that they had fixed their relationship, the more that Stacey will not approve of what you are about to do with Heather. I don’t want her to think that it is okay with me if you pursue her sister for your selfish reasons. Call one of your women to satisfy your sexual cravings. You can have anyone you like but please not Heather. She is going to bring you problems believe me.”

Heather angrily shut the door of her unit. She took off Blake’s vest and threw it on the sofa. She was repeatedly cursing Blake out of rage. She couldn't believe that he told her bluntly that he wanted to bed her. That man was really pissing her big time. She had been trying to ignore him because she didn’t want to have a dark aura again but he was really testing her temper. She wanted to hit him but sadly she couldn’t but she would definitely get back at him. She went to the kitchen to get the form from him. She would fill it out.

Blake was in a bad mood the next morning. He agreed with Eve that Heather won’t be good for him .It wasn’t as if he didn’t know that but his body was screaming for her. He wanted to prove to himself that Eve was right. Anyone would satisfy his sexual urges so last night after dropping her to her apartment he decided to call Denice. Unfortunately images of Heather haunted him so poor Denice wasted her time with him. They were both pissed.

His receptionist greeted him good morning but he just nodded at her and didn’t greet her back. He walked straight to the gym. His eyes squinted when he saw who were inside already.

Kenji was teaching Heather some basic self-defense moves. Their position made him grit his teeth. Heather was wearing a body hugging gray sleeveless top which emphasized her big breasts and slim waist. She was wearing white leggings and black sneakers. She had her back on Kenji and the latter had his arms wrapped around her. He was beaming as he seemed to be inhaling Heather’ hair.

Blake clenched his fists.
