4th Ghosting: My Farmer Boss

"How was your stay and working here at Santillan Farm?"

"F that drunken horse!" Randall chuckled. So, this woman knew the F word...

After their first encounter of this woman, the new cashier of Ran Santi's Coffee Shop that he owns. Ashey Emerald Brown is her name. And he was right in concluding that she's not a pure Filifina. Ashey Brown is a lighter brunette and more Filipina. She's been more than a week on the farm. For almost a week now, Randall noticed that she was very strange to people. She's not okay to be a cashier. The cashier, should always have a ready smile. But when it comes to making a sales report, he has nothing to say to this woman. But in her personality, there are many.

First, when she is not in uniform in the shop, she wears a skirt that reaches to the heel and long sleeves. Even on a very hot day. The color she's wearing is pure black. It's just cover up her hidden curve. Weird the dress and personality she shows to the people-- that's it.

"Ahm, I'm okay, Sir." Ashey tapped her chest softly, surprised by the sudden appearance and approach of her boss.

Yes, he was the boss of that farm, the man that he saw almost naked the first day she was here.

"What are you looking for there?"

"Ah, nothing. My five peso coin just fell here. Yes, it did!" Of course, it's a lie.

"Five peso coin? Really, because people don't go to this place. Why do you prefer to hang out here?" Randall just asking. Another thing he noticed about this woman was that she always hung out around the river that connected his farm to the dam.

"Yes. Just the coin really, Sir." Ashey bit her own tongue, "Ahm, I think, I gotta go, Sir. I'm going inside and I'll do the laundry."

"Randall. Call me Ran. No one is calling me sir me here." Ashey noticed that too.

It's just that, it's kinda embarassing to a new employee like her to call the boss to first name basis.

"Okay," she just said, even if her nod was hesitant. She was about to turn her back on her boss when he pulled him by the arm.

"Are you really like that?"

"Wha--t?"

"Are you really like that, I said."

Ashey was surprised when Randall grabbed her arm. It was as if there's that unknowingly electricity, she suddenly felt. It flows into her arm from its grip on her.

His boss's eyes were staring at him.. again. It was like the stare he had given to her, last time.

"You don't know how to look in the mirror..." Randall took the glasses from her eyes and wiped them on the hem of his shirt, “This glasses are also really blurry"

"Sir--" Randall put on to her eyes, her graded eye glasses again...

"Cause you still have something on your nose." He pointed that something at the bridge of her nose.

Ashey immediately touch what is it, turnd out, there's none! Shit! Clearly, this is one of the play of her boss! And she fell to it!

Randall laugh out loud. While Ashey marched quickly away to her boss. She even threw pebbles at her boss. Well, she was insult because of the laughter he released. She could still heard him laughing hardly even from a distancet. Randall is very happy on his own joke, when he looked back. She glared at him before completely turning her back to him.

"I HAVE something to tell you.."

If only Ashey could slap in front of her co-workers their boss, who is now staring and standing in front of the counter where she was sitting in the coffee shop, she would have done it. He went through the coffee shop again, to annoy her, she would bet, "Do you know that you look better when you smile..."

Okay, Ashey was surprised by what Randall said, she admit. No man has ever told her that. But his boss smiled, and for all she knew, he was obviously in a joke time mode again! Exposing his dimples and braces. Honestly, her boss is cute, she would like him, if it's not that he's a playboy. Psh! Major turn off!

"Sir, I'm in pain ..."

"Huh? Well, why don't you go home? Take an undertime--"

"I ate a fishball."

"Huh? Fishball?"

"Yes, Sir." The laughter behind from her co-workers obviously lost their boss.

"Bossing, It was a trend on Tiktok," Jepoy, the barista of the coffee shop, said.

"Yeah, that's one of the Tiktok trend, Sir. Sir Ran doesn't know that, Ashey!" The one who spoke was the service crew of the coffee shop, Erwin.

"Tiktok?" Asking with astonishment, Randall looked at his employees. Well, "What's that?"

"Yes, Master," she sneered at Randall.

She was not surprised by the 'astonishment face' of her boss. After all, Ashey never saw the farmer-slash-businessman soaked in his cp. She also searched if he had a socmed account, she only found him on google, just flexing his farm-- just checking, not stalk! Defensively said, of her brain.

Their boss is simple, actually. Randall Santillan wearing a shirt and a denim jeans mostly. His kicks fluctuating in a color but the same style. Gray, white, black, in those three colors, rotates Randall Santillan's outfit everyday, even the cap. Even though he's wearing (obviously) branded, he wore it in a simple way thay only him can actually do. Unlike those other businessman, Randall is a smoothie in the eyes.

"Stop, Ashey. You're not funny," he scolded at her, almost whispering.

She giggled, "Thank you, Master." When Randall rolled eyes to her, together of the laughing crowd, she laughed hard too.

"Sir, I'm a tiktokerist. Maybe you want me to dance with you while we're here in your coffee shop? You have a very nice coffee and cakes here, by the way," an american teenager approached them. He belongs to that group of their customers mearby table, who laughed too earlier to Randall's innocent response about the Tiktok trend.

The american boy introduced his self. He said he knew that Randall was the owner of the coffee shop. The teenager artist want to content their coffee and cakes to his socmed accounts by dancing with the owner.

"Yay! Show us that you can dance, Sir!" She teased Randall. But, by the way of Randall's grin, It looks like he knew how to dance!

"Dance only?" Randall even shrugged his shoulders. Then flip his cap on reversed, before standing, "Hah! Watch me, Ashey Brown," he said proudly.

Randall and the young man danced to the accompaniment of "Into the thick of it." The crowd having fun, laughing, shouting and cheerings.

"Darn!" Ashey noticed that their boss's body was soft!"

Everyone who was that witnessed the american boy and the coffee shop owner dance, was overjoyed. While Ashey having a hard time to express her feelings, if she laughs like the people there right now, it's not her anymore. But laughter is a part of life. She just wasn’t used to it because there was no reason to laugh alive and out loud, before in her monotonous life.

But this time is different...

The end of the dance was Randall Santillan's twitching butt in the audience. After the beat, her boss winked at her and smiled broadly. Ashey can't help but reciprocate that wide smile of her boss-- er,
