~Aflame (Part 2)~

“We have to get my parents out of the plane.” Lez, worriedly said.

“Don’t worry Lez. We’ll get them out of there.” Al said to Lez just to keep her calm even though she doesn’t know how Ethan is lying on the ground near the jet’s door.

Ethan quickly flipped himself to stand up and covered himself with his wings.

“Fire!” Al shouted as everyone shot Ethan with their handgun and Norton’s as their sniper rifle.

Ethan’s wings protected him from the handgun damage but not to the sniper rifle as it penetrated Ethan’s wings and hit his leg, shoulder, and arm. He lost his balance and was now open for direct damage.

“Jin now!” Al shouted at Jin to fire his enhanced stun gun.

Bang! Jin pulled the trigger and launched the stun guns needle, and hit Ethan in his chest. The 100,000-volt quickly put Ethan into shock as he groaned in pain and wriggled around as he got electrocuted.

“Heather! Move them out now.” Al shouted as Heather followed as she watched at the window.

“Come on, follow me,” Heather commanded at the couple and the stewardesses inside.

Lez quickly went towards the door to secure her parents by herself.

“Mom! Dad! Faster, let’s go!” Lez shouted.

All people inside the plane came out safely and ran away as Jin fired held Ethan in his place with the stun gun.

Al went towards Lez’s parents to secure them.

“Lez let’s go!” Al called her as she stood meters away from Ethan, watching him as he wriggled.

Lez raged as she remembered Drake and their friends that Ethan harmed. Her hands started to blaze.

“Lez no!” Al shouted at Lez, for she knows Ethan won’t be harmed by her flames, for it will only regenerate his wounds, for it is not his weakness.

“Burn you asshole!” Lez torched Ethan in blazing red flames that could melt metal just like last night.

The stun gun’s needle quickly melted by the heat of the flame Lez released that regained Ethan’s mind.

His wings are slowly burning away as Ethan groans in burning agony.

“Let me take care of that, Ethan.” the demon Leviathan spoke on Ethan’s mind.

Ethan’s wings turned from red to blue, and with one flap of his wings, the flame got extinguished as water splashed around Ethan as everyone near him got thrown down into the ground, including Lez. He quickly jumped at Lez and pinned her down to the ground choking her, and Jin lost his gun on the ground in the process.

Al’s eyes widened as she got surprised at how Ethan got Lez without activating her barriers. Lez was also surprised by the happening.

“Remember this?” Ethan showed Lez the black knife he was holding.

“I was just trying a hunch, but I was right. It’s not just this knife can penetrate your barrier, but this knife weakens your barrier as any attack could penetrate you now every time you are near within its range.” Ethan said as he laughed at Lez.

Ethan’s sight suddenly turned black as Al unleashed her power.

“Heather! Get them out of here!” Al commanded Heather to remove Lez’s parents from the unsafe area, as she quickly followed as they ran away.

“That bitch! I really hate her powers.” Ethan said to himself as he just stood up and froze.

“Lez, quickly! Get away from him.” Al instructed Lez as she quickly stood up and ran away.

Al’s eyes grew wider as Ethan vanished from her sight. Her illusion is based on her concentration on her target, and if she can’t see her marked target, the illusion immediately dispels itself.

And suddenly,

Tsuk!

Al got stabbed by an invisible knife in her guts.

“Ethan went invisible; wear your goggles,” Jin told his team and saw Ethan’s heat signature and shot him on his head with his handgun, but the bullet just went past his water-like head as he appeared in front of Al.

“What the?” Jin uttered as Al fell onto the ground face down as Ethan was walking towards him.

The guards freely fired their handguns at Ethan, but all of their bullets just went through over his liquefied body.

Jin saw the enhanced stun gun at a distance on the ground and decided to run and grab for it, but Ethan got him first. Ethan’s Icy hand stabbed Jin on his chest before Jin could reach the gun. Ethan tossed Jin’s lifeless body onto the ground and turned around to look for his next target. Ethan smiled like a maniac searching for his next murder victim, never noticing Lez behind him, and grabbed the gun and shoots at him.

Ethan screamed in great agony for him in water form hits by electricity will produce more significant damage than before.

“Everyone grab Al and Jin now, and let’s get out of here,” Lez shouted at the guards as they followed her command and went inside the building as people watched them.

“Halt!” one of the airport police shouted and stopped Lez and the group as they pointed their guns at them.

Lez looked behind her and saw Ethan on the ground, still shocked by the stun gun.

“Come on! We have wounded persons in here that need medical attention right now. Let us go.” Lez explained to the police.

“Officer! We are private bodyguards, and we are moving away from an assailant. Please let us get through.” Feng explained.

“Okay, move now. We will escort you out.” the head police replied.

“Oh my God, he’s getting up now. All of you run away!” Lez shouted as they moved towards their cars, hoping Heather and her parents were there. She saw Ethan getting up from the ground as he returned to his former appearance with his red-colored wings. The demon isn’t complete, yet that’s why it can’t maintain his water-natured appearance.

Sniper rifles got fired again thrice as Ethan spread its wings and vanished from the snipers' sight.

“Where did he go?” Norton asked his team.

“I don’t know, sir. He suddenly vanished.” One of his sniper teammates replied.

“Okay, let’s move to the ground,” Norton said as they quickly stood up and turned around, but suddenly their throats got slashed in an instant at the same time as Ethan appeared right in front of them with his icy blade hand.

“Annoying cockroaches,” Ethan said as he flapped his wings and flew somewhere else.

“Sam? Feng? How’s Al and Jin?” Lez asked as the two men carried both Al and Jin.

“Miss Al is still unconscious right now, ma’am, and she’s losing a lot of blood by a minute. We need to get her to the nearest hospital quick.” Sam replied as they were running.

“I think we lost Jin, ma’am. I can’t feel his pulse.” Feng said as he stopped and laid Jin’s body on the floor to check his vitals.

“Leave it be then. We’ll come back for his body later. We have to go now. Let’s go!” Lez told Feng as they continued towards their cars.

“Sweetie!” Mrs. Anderson called as they waited in front of their cars with his husband and Heather by their side.

“Mom, Dad,” Lez called as she ran fast towards them.

“Over here! Come of faster, let’s go!” Heather shouted at them, but suddenly Ethan came from above, crashing the car behind them that shattered the glass windows. They covered themselves from the glass fragments that were bursting from the wreckage. Heather turned around to see what was behind as Ethan swiped them with his enormous left wing. Heather and Mr. Anderson were thrown onto the ground while Mrs. Anderson bumped on a pillar and lost consciousness.

“Mom! Dad!” Angrily called as Lez, with burning fists, came at Ethan.

Lez released her flames and began torching Ethan on top of the car as Heather grabbed her gun on her side and consecutively pulled the trigger. The other guards pulled out their weapons and started to shoot Ethan with the airport police, but Ethan jumped backward and vanished into thin air.

“What the hell was that?” the police leader asked as he couldn’t believe what he saw.

“He turned invisible again, goggles on!” Feng shouted as the guards quickly wore their heat vision goggles, but they couldn’t seem to locate Ethan anywhere.

“Honey? Hey, hon, are you okay? Sophia, speak to me!” Mr. Anderson said as he tried to wake her wife.

“Dad? Is mom okay?” Lez quickly kneeled to see her mother’s condition as the guards surrounded them, leaving behind the police.

“She just passed out, sweetheart. But she’s fine.” Mr. Anderson replied.

“Ma’am, Miss Al is awake,” Sam informed Lez.

“Al?” Lez quickly stood up to see Al.

“Lez?” Al called as she started to cough blood.

“Oh my God. Sam, bring her to the nearest hospital now. Don’t stop, no matter what. Go and save Al.” Lez ordered at Sam. Together with one of the mansion guards, they went into the leading car of one of the two remaining cars they had.

“Let’s get into the car!” Lez instructed as one of the mansion guards carried her mother.

“Move! Move! Move!” Feng shouted as suddenly they heard screams behind them.

Ethan was slaughtering the airport police as the four bodies dropped down onto the floor with oozing blood. Ethan quickly grabbed one of the police pistols and started to shoot. The mansion guard carrying Lez’s mother got shot in the head dead on the spot as they both went down on the ground. Another mansion guard got hit on his torso while Feng got hit on his legs as they all went to duck and cover behind the pillars. Sam revved up and drove the car to bring Al to the nearest hospital as fast as he could.

“Mom?!?” Lez shouted as the guards shot back at Ethan as he quickly hid on the corner wall.

“Hahaha! You’re all going to die now.” Ethan mockingly said to them.

“Fuck you, Ethan!” Feng shouted back to Ethan and shot in his direction, but he seemed not to be there anymore.

“Where did he go?” Feng asked his teammates.

“Can’t find him. I’m looking at my goggles right now, but he seems nowhere to be found.” Heather replied.

“Mom!” Lez hurriedly went into her mother as her dad followed her.

Ethan suddenly appeared behind one of the mansion guards coming from above and kicked the guard's head onto the pillar as brain and blood splattered the area.

Ethan just menacingly laughed at them as he approached the wounded mansion guard.

The guard pulled his stun gun and pointed at Ethan, but he was too late. Ethan stabbed him with his icy blade of hand through his mouth before he could pull the trigger.

“Damn you, Ethan!” Feng shouted as he pulled his stun gun and pointed at Ethan.

Ethan quickly flapped his wings and flew towards Feng and, at the same time, avoided the needle from his stun gun and grabbed Feng on his neck, and flew upwards as Feng screamed.

“Feng!” Heather shouted as all of them watched the two fly upward into the sky.

Feng’s screams became fainter the higher they reached but slowly and gradually became louder as Feng came down, falling from the sky and crashed into their last remaining car, dead.

Lez covered her mouth as she witnessed a horrific scene. Blood dripped from the wrecked car as Ethan landed on top of Feng’s dead body on top of the vehicle.

Heather fired their stun gun at Ethan with the last remaining mansion guard, but Ethan swiped the needles with his wings.

They have no weapons left to disable Ethan from his attacks.

“Ma’am, Let’s go back inside.” Heather loudly suggested Lez as she grabbed her waist and pulled her towards the entrance door while the remaining mansion guard carried her mom together with his dad on their side.

Ethan swiftly flew towards the guard and stabbed his head with his obsidian knife dropping her mom on the process. Mr. Anderson wanted to help his wife, but Ethan pulled and threw him onto the wrecked car where Feng’s dead body lies. Mr. Anderson lost his consciousness in the process.

Lez felt intense anger boiling inside her while looking at Ethan’s sadistic face with a sinister smile. Her hands started to ablaze as Heather released her arm as she felt the increasing heat from her flames. She walked towards Ethan like a Spartan warrior who walked onto the battlefield alone with her flaming eyes. She kicked Ethan onto his torso with all of her strength as Ethan gladly accepted her assault with a smile. He thought it would be as weak as her frail body looks, but he thought wrong. Ethan got thrown away as soon as Lez’s foot impacted Ethan’s chest as he bumped on the first wrecked car and went tumbling with it a distance away from the second wrecked car where Lez’s dad lies.

With Lez’s anger, her right flaming fist grew more prominent than the other fist’s flame.

Ethan couldn’t believe what had happened, and he didn’t expect Lez could get more substantial like that in an instant. He felt his aching chest like a burning inferno inside as it gradually regenerated his broken ribs. He laughed as he walked back towards Lez, and accepted it as a challenge.

But before he could reach the second wrecked car, Lez releases her flame from her right fist as it launches like a fireball, swiftly going straight at Ethan.

Ethan did not perceive its projectile could be that fast as he could not dodge it in time. He tried to parry it with his left hand, but as soon as the fireball impacted Ethan’s hand, the fireball exploded like a grenade launcher but in more significant damage.

Boom! The impact created a great force as glasses got broken from nearby windows and glass walls.

Ethan was thrown far away, rolling and tumbling on the ground. He slowly got up as his eyes grew wider as he looked at his ripped left arm.

Ethan now feared for his life as he looked at Lez with her hair slowly floating and turning into a flame. He now knew he couldn’t defeat Lez in his current condition, and he needed the demon’s complete form to achieve victory.

Heather, who watched them from the side, could not believe Lez could achieve that level of firepower without proper training and just with her pure rage.

She thought Lez’s fireball couldn’t be far to differentiate as artillery fire from a battleship as the place where the impact happened left a big hole on the ground.

Ethan quickly vanished, turning himself invisible, and ran towards Lez.

“Ma’am, he’s running towards you!” Heather shouted at Lez, but because she couldn’t see him, she immediately released her flames and torched whatever was in front of her as Ethan got burned but kicked her in the guts while holding the black knife in the process. Lez flew from the impact of Ethan’s kick and slid onto the floor while Ethan screamed in deep torture as the fire engulfed his entire body with such heat. Lez’s flame is much hotter than before, that it can burn Ethan’s flesh even if it’s regenerating.

Ethan cowered in fear as he stumbled on the second, wrecked car and saw Mr. Anderson lying on the ground. The flame all over his body got extinguished as he flapped his wings.

“You will pay for this!” Ethan shouted at Lez while grabbing her father in the process.

“Dad!” Lez quickly got herself up and ran towards her father.

Ethan flew up, holding the unconscious father of Lez.

“See you next time, princess,” Ethan said as he flew with Lez’s father away.

“No! Dad!” Lez screamed on top of her lungs as her flames raged on while watching Ethan abduct her father.
