I was visibly surprised when Saphira suddenly brought out her other wicked side. It wasn't that I didn't like it. I was so turned on by this new side of her that I sat through it all night. But I couldn't shake the thought that it had something to do with Ruby. I knew my ex girlfriend better than anything in this damn world. Ruby and I had good memories as well as horrible ones. Towards the end there were more bad than good.
I knew she could be provocative. I noticed that the two women were talking. I just didn't want to bombard Saphira with questions. It was also obvious that Ruby had turned away from us, pissed off. I wanted to confront Saphira today.
She slept peacefully in her bed while I sat in the office and signed some documents. I took the day off because I wanted to do something with Saphira. She's been with me for more than a week now and I'm starting to get the feeling that she's comfortable here. At least I hoped so.
On the side, I booked a beach house for us about three hours from here. I wanted to take a break and be close to Saphira. It was important to me that we bonded with each other.
After the booking was completed and confirmed by email, a sleepy beauty walked into my office wearing my shirt. I could get used to this sight. “Don't you have to go to work?” Saphira asked me, rubbing her eyes again. She looked really cute and damn sexy at the same time standing on her feet after sex and a good night's sleep. As if she were still somewhere else mentally. 'No, Princess. I have the rest of the week off. Pack some clothes, we're going away for the days.' She seemed wide awake immediately and looked at me with wide eyes. “What, are we going away? Where to?” she demanded before I got up from my chair and approached her. I gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead which made her close her eyes again. “We're driving to the sea. A little time out for both of us.' I whispered against her lips before bringing mine to hers. She sighed into the kiss and wrapped her slender arms around my neck.
I reluctantly pulled away from her lips, as I still had one question burning on the tip of my tongue. She smiled at me with her beautiful lips, as always. “I want to ask you something...” I began before she nodded in agreement and seemed to wait for my question. “...what did Ruby want from you? She seemed so tense.” Her beautiful smile slipped away, then she cleared her throat and forced another on her lips. “Oh, we were just having a nice chat,” Saphira said, slightly nervous. I knew she was lying before I asked the question. She needed to know that she could trust me and that I meant her no harm. “And now the truth, Saphira.” I said a little more seriously. She swallowed hard, unsure if she should tell me. She looked everywhere but my eyes.
To calm her, I took her chin between my thumb and forefinger and turned her head towards me. Now she was forced to look into my eyes. The beautiful gray in her irises was still so mesmerizing. Now that I could get a closer look at them, I saw a light blue around the pupils.
I looked her in the eyes invitingly. Saphira took a deep breath before speaking. “She declared war on me, so to speak, because she most likely still has feelings for you. She was of the opinion that I wasn't the perfect woman at your side...” she said softly and immediately looked down ashamed. I closed my eyes briefly, not because I was angry with Saphira. But because Ruby brought this scam again. She couldn't take it off once a woman was by my side. But she was responsible for the fact that I didn't want her anymore. There were enough reasons why we had parted ways. “I know she's your ex. Nancy told me before we got here.” There was a touch of sadness in her voice. So it was a sign that she was starting to like me and that Ruby's words had hurt her. She just tried to hide it.
I didn't care for Ruby anymore and I should make that clear to Saphira. She was the only woman that was the focus and that I wanted to focus on. “Princess, whatever Ruby says, don't take it personally. She just wants to provoke you and thus push you away from my side. Her only problem is herself. She sees you as a threat, which is why she feels offended.” Saphira nodded in understanding, but still didn't meet my eyes. I could tell it bothered her. While I got along with Ruby normally, I wasn't really aware that she still had feelings. 'I know it's not my place to say such a thing. But I don't like it when you talk to her.' Saphira told me truthfully. I had to smile because I could hear her jealousy.
I wrapped my arms around her torso and gently pressed her head onto my chest. This woman would one day bury me for her cuteness. She was the sweetest being I had ever met. “Baby, I'll do anything you want. i just want you to be happy You're the woman I want and even a Ruby won't be able to destroy it. It's nice of you to confide in me. Please don't worry about her. It's just you and me that matters.” I wanted to make her feel like I wasn't good enough for me. She was more than perfect for me. She shouldn't let Ruby's words get her down like that. “Kian?” came her beautiful voice again. She easily pulled out of my arms and finally looked me in the eyes again. “What is it between us?” she wanted to know. The question came unexpectedly. I hadn't thought about it until now. 'Well, I don't know little one. I think we should just wait and see where it goes. But what I do know is that I want you. In a variety of ways.” A small smile formed on her lips again.
It was still too fresh to answer that question. But my mind and also my heart desired this woman. I never wanted to let her go again. And who knows, maybe she was the right one and would eventually go by the surname Sheeran. It was easy to imagine.
She gave me a deep kiss and grinned happily from ear to ear. That's how I liked to see her.
“Pack your things, we're going on vacation baby.”
