We've been driving for about an hour now. We might have another two hours to our destination. So far, the journey has been silent, while the music was playing softly on the radio. I had time to think about my whole life.
Before Kian came into my life, it was a total disaster. I was trapped in a dark hole and saw no way out into a beautiful life. While my mother was banging on about my dead father, I had to fend for myself. I wanted to end my life, but I was too cowardly to do it. Sometimes I even thought about stealing pills from my mother and putting an end to it. But like I said, I was a coward. I did enjoy the job as a stripper, but it wouldn't have been a permanent solution. At first it was unusual to be observed by many strange men, most of whom were over thirty or forty and even over sixty years old. In addition, one had hardly anything on, only light scraps of fabric covered the intimate area. Some women even had to dance topless why I refused. I'd almost lost my job if my colleague Grace hadn't interfered.
Then I met Kian, who was really just a regular customer of mine. At least I thought so. I didn't realize that he had been watching me for a long time until he confessed this to me. On the one hand it was cute, but on the other hand it was a bit scary. And now I'm staying with him, leaving my drug-addicted mother, who is very likely to die of an overdose herself soon. Perhaps this was also her goal, which is why she no longer wanted to be saved. It was way too late and I had to live with that.
"Are you okay, Princess?" Kian's voice snapped me out of my thoughts before I nodded and gave him a small smile. "What were you thinking of?" he asked. Was it so obvious that my head was somewhere else? He was oddly quick to see through me, so lying might not be an advantage. 'To everything. My life, my mother and you.” He looked at me for a moment, then put his free hand on my thigh. He pressed lightly at this point, which is why a pleasant shiver ran over my skin. "What exactly did you think about me?" he asked curiously again, keeping his eyes on the road. I couldn't see his green eyes through his black sunglasses. But this sight was damn hot. “You make me happy, Kian. Without you I would still be in this dark hole.« , I honestly admitted. He gave me a beautiful smile and took my hand in his and brought it to his soft lips. He then gave me a kiss on the back of my hand. This gesture made my heart beat faster than I wanted it to. "That's good to hear, princess," he murmured, smiling, and turned his attention back to the traffic.

After about another two hours we finally arrived. The sun was shining in the high sky and the humidity was comfortable. I heard the sea rushing next to us when we finally stopped at a beach house. Visually it wasn't too big, but suitable for two people. Kian parked his car right at the entrance and then we got out. He got the luggage out of the trunk before we ran into the house. We had to pick up the key beforehand.
We entered the house together. I was amazed when I saw the facility. It consisted of only one floor: living room and an adjoining kitchen, next door the bedroom and the bathroom. That's all it needed. Everything was kept in light tones, which reflected a pleasant atmosphere. I immediately felt very comfortable here. Two hanging chairs were attached to the ceiling on the terrace outside. There was also a small table with two chairs next to it. From here you had a direct view of the beach and the sea. It was gorgeous.
"Do you like it, princess?" Kian's voice sounded next to me. I turned to him and smiled happily at him. 'I'm at a loss for words. But yes, it's beautiful here!' I said truthfully. I couldn't have imagined the short vacation any other way.
Kian brought our suitcases into the bedroom while I looked around here a little. The furniture was kept white, while the kitchen consisted of marble optics. I opened the patio door and walked out a bit. The sea breeze hit me immediately. I took a deep breath and let it affect my body. Shortly thereafter, I felt two large hands on my waist before Kian kissed my shoulder. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. Just him and me.
Even though I hardly knew Kian, he had become important to me in such a short time. I could never have imagined starting something with a much older man. But Kian suddenly let me see things with different eyes and my way of thinking had changed too. I enjoyed his closeness and his tender touches. He was the first man who had ever come so close to me and turned all my feelings and emotions upside down. I wish for the future that he was the last for me. I wanted him by my side at all costs. Without him, I wouldn't be the Saphira I've always wanted to be today. I finally felt important and needed. Maybe also a little loved and desired.
