Saphira had left me a message that she wanted to go to her mother. Whether this was a good idea, I couldn't say exactly. But I didn't want to stop her. I could only hope she didn't get hurt too badly.
I had just finished and was about to leave my office when suddenly Ruby called me. Confused, I picked up and heard her sobs on the other line. "Ruby, are you okay?" I asked, packing my briefcase on the side. I just wanted to go home as soon as possible and wait for my beautiful Saphira. "Kian... you-you have to help me with something," she said in a tearful voice. I listened to her as she began to talk about her problem. As well as it seems, she was stuck with a complaint from an ex-ex-boyfriend. property damage. »We had an argument and I freaked out a bit...«, she murmured softly into the receiver when she had finally calmed down. It was quite difficult to understand her under her sobs and wails. »What have you done.« , I asked slightly annoyed. It wasn't because of Ruby, but the fact that I had to go to work on my day off and had spent a full three hours here. "Well, um...I...wrecked...his...car...and um...maybe...defaced...the wall of his house." That sounded a lot like her. She was very impulsive and short-tempered. Ruby was easily upset when something didn't go her way. 'All right, we'll meet at my place. I'll see what I can do.« I ended the call and ran out of the building. I climbed into my Range Rover and unbuttoned my shirt a little. It was why outside, but I was required to show up in a suit. Not very favorable for such weather, but that was the rule. I turned the key when the engine started and immediately turned on the air conditioning. Then I drove off.
When I got to my house, Ruby was already at the entrance waiting for me. The blond haired saw me immediately and started to smile. I thought nothing of it and parked my car in the garage. We walked into the property together before I gestured for her to go into my office. She ran ahead and stopped in front of my desk. I closed the door out of habit and sat down in the desk chair. "Have you got any documents so I can take a look?" I asked, casually booting up my laptop. As soon as I got home from work, I had to deal with the next one.
»Do you know Kian...«, she began and walked over to my desk. "...it's been a while since we've been together." Not the tour again. We had discussed this topic so many times and apparently this woman did not want to understand it. “Ruby, we both know it's better if we just put it behind us. I don't have time for that kind of talk right now." "What does she have that I don't? Is it because she's younger than me?!' she snapped at me. I could imagine that she was jealous of Saphira. "Age does not matter. Maybe you should change something about your character. Look at you Ruby, no man stays with you longer.” The blond haired one gave me a sulky look and came even closer. She grabbed my collar and tried to press her red lips to mine, but I held my hand in front of her mouth. I then pushed her away somewhat roughly, causing her grip on my collar to tighten and tearing my shirt slightly. Her lipstick clung to my palm and smeared halfway down her cheek.
“Now don't be like that. Otherwise you were always ready for anything.« , she said nonchalantly and started to take off her top. Now what kind of fucking situation had I gotten myself into? If Saphira saw that, she would certainly take it the wrong way. "Stop playing games, Ruby," I admonished her. I didn't like this at all. "I'll bet you there's not even an ad, is there?" Ruby was grinning from ear to ear, which just showed me I was right. 'Of course not, silly. But now I have you where I wanted you.”
At the same moment the door of my office room opened and a shocked Saphira stood there. I too had to swallow hard because I wanted to avoid seeing her. What a fucking shit. "You bastard," Saphira said before storming out and running up the stairs. "Fuck!" I swore. "You still have me," Ruby commented. I picked her top off the floor and threw it at her. "Get out of here. I don't want to hear from you any more.' I said seriously. But the blond-haired probably didn't take it seriously and took a step towards me. "Go away, I said! I don't want to see your dirty visage anymore! Get the hell out of my house!' I shouted angrily. She would be in for a surprise if I couldn't work things out with Saphira. I had to hope
Ruby walked out of my office, her face speaking volumes of my reaction before I heard the front door slam shut. I collected myself and sprinted up the stairs to Saphira's room. Unfortunately the door couldn't be opened because it was locked. "Princess, please open the door." I begged her. She had to listen to me! I tapped it a couple of times, but no response from the other side. I heard a faint rustling, but the door stayed closed. "Saphira!" I tried again, but in vain.
After another five minutes the door was finally opened. I just didn't like the sight that played out in front of me. Saphira stood with two packed suitcases and looked at me with tears in her eyes. Her gaze was blank.
What was Ruby thinking! I was in a tricky position where I couldn't do anything. Saphira had to believe me that nothing had happened between my ex and me!
