The week was quite uneventful in contrast to last weekend and Monday. I worked late every day valuing the new properties Matt had bought for our portfolio.
I didn't mind working late and working overtime. I enjoyed my job.
However, today was Saturday and I urgently needed to fill my fridge. In my modest apartment a lot has been left behind.
With fully packed bags I reached my apartment where none other than Thiago Silva was standing. I suspected bad.
He leaned casually with his back against the wall of the house, one of his legs was bent and his foot also touched the wall of the house. When he noticed me he was already grinning provocatively.
I stopped in front of him with my bags full of food: "what do you want?" I asked directly and in an annoyed tone. "Hello to you too" he replied and took my bags from me before he just walked into the condominium.
I let him do it for now, knowing that a dusscussion would be pointless. Without saying another word, I got on the elevator and pushed my floor.
I opened the door to my apartment and Thiago ran to my small kitchenette with the food purchases.
I followed him and immediately started putting the food in the fridge before it went bad. "So?" I spoke to him again to find out the reason for his visit.
"So impatient," he simply replied, leaning his butt against the sink while crossing his arms over his chest.
I closed the fridge and looked at him with raised eyebrows. "I thought I made it clear that I don't want any contact with you. So what are you doing here?" I repeated myself.
"Really? I can only remember how you moaned softly in my ear before you just ran away. It didn't seem like you didn't want it," he replied, grinning.
"Idiot" I scoffed. "I know, besides, since when do I listen to what other people want?" He said while pushing himself off the sink and winking at me. This arrogant macho. Does he think just because he's Thiago Silva he can do whatever he wants? Tzzzz...
"Come on now I don't have all day" he continued and confidently walked past me.
"Excuse me who says that I have time now? Because I don't. If you would go now". I hissed defiantly.
"Oh, what are you up to? Cooking, cleaning, meeting up with friends?" he countered.
But before I could answer, he continued: "Leave it Alea, just come with me, I have to show you something, it's important". He held the door open and looked me intently in the eyes.
That bastard. I couldn't hold his gaze. And again I submit. He's still driving me insane. I stomped past him, out of the apartment "this is not a date Silva, I'm only coming because you say it's important" I clarified.
"But you are," he answered before following me.
When we got outside, his car was waiting for us and we sat down. His car suited him: black as the night and his soul, fast and ruthless just like him.
We drove about 20 minutes until we reached Bank of America. I didn't ask, just followed him without a word. We drove to the 50th floor and ran into the stairwell to go up another floor.
Only now did I understand where he was going. To the roof of this huge skyscraper. Is he tired of life?
As the wind picked me up, I saw a helicopter. "Get in" he yelled at me. Is he completely insane? I shook my head, eyes wide, leaning my body against the door that led inside.
Thiago came up to me and faced me directly. He noticed my fear. He took my face in his hands.
"Alea, look at me" I followed him and looked into his dark black-brown eyes. "Trust me". He kept looking into my eyes. I nodded to him slowly. He then let go of my face and took my hand in his before leading me to the helicopter. He opened the door and helped me up.
After that, he closed them and ran around the helicopter. He got in too and closed his door. He took a headset and put it on my head. "Are you sure you can do this?" I asked slightly panicked.
He smiled at me. Fuck that smile. "Little ones, I've been flying since I was 16 years old. I'm even allowed to fly the really big ones. I'll bring you down safely, I promise".
Okay, calm down Alea. He says he can. I didn't have time to think about it anymore because he already started the helicopter, babbled something into the microphone and flew up.
Less than ten seconds later we were in the air and I saw Miami from above for the first time. And what should I say ? It was breathtaking.
Goosebumps adorned my skin. It was just indescribable. I looked spellbound from the window of the helicopter. I noticed how Thiago looked over at me from time to time and laughed. This may be nothing new to him and he's amused to see me like this, but I was entranced. Enchanted by flying and the perspective that results from it.
"Do you like it?" Thiago wanted to know the obvious. "It's unbelievable. It's beautiful up here," I answer, not annoyed or bitchy, but calm and honest.
Slowly we began to sink and I saw that Thiago "parked" the helicopter on the beach. When the propellers stopped, we got out.
"And what do we want here now?" I asked again because I wasn't sure what he wanted to show me here.
"Wait and just come with me," he said, holding out his hand. I hesitated but accepted and we ran to a large peer.
On the peer were various food stalls, as well as shooting galleries, carousels and even a roller coaster. It was like a little hype.
"Just enjoy the evening and don't ask any questions okay Alea?" Thiago explained to me.
"This looks damn dated to me Mr. Silva?" I voiced my guess.
"But isn't it sweet. Thiago Silva doesn't have any dates. He always works and from time to time he has hot sex with women, that's it," he replied and smiled provocatively. I snorted audibly but let him put a hand on my lower back and lead me to the chain carousel.
"Serious?" I said laughing. "Of course," he replied. "So a Thiago silva also has fun in his life besides work and sex?" I teased based on his previous answer.
Before he could answer we got in and the chain carousel slowly went up until it finally started to turn.
We held hands, so to speak, and both laughed when the ride was in full swing. And to be honest the whole evening went like this.
We rode the roller coaster, threw cans at the various booths, ate candy floss and chocolate bananas, rode the carousel and thiago even shot me a big teddy bear. It was actually like a perfect date for a couple in love. Except it wasn't a date and we weren't in love. Still, I really had a lot of fun and I never thought I could have this with Thiago, that he could be so normal. I've never seen him smile as much as today.
