Andre and Michelle followed the agent out of the apartment once they were done checking out the room. Michelle had gotten a call earlier that morning, that the house was available and she'd excited to check it out with hopes of ridding Andre, of the inconvenience she'd caused by moving in. To her utmost surprise, Andre had insisted on going with her.
"So, how was it?" The agent asked.
"Well, the door lock was too old and the mold inside the room, is terrible." Andre said and Michelle smacked him on the shoulder, wondering why he said that in the presence of the woman.
"Stop that. The place looks really decent." She replied and he turned to her.
"What do you mean? Just say it if there's something not to your liking." Andre said.
"Is it really urgent?" The agent asked, with an arched brow and they turned to look at her.
"I worked so hard to find a place for you but your husband is complaining so much."
"My husband?" Michelle repeated and turned to look glance at Andre, who looked surprised. "He's not my husband."
"He's not?" The agent asked and returned her eyes to him. "He's so picky, so I thought he was your husband." She sighed and turned back to face Michelle. "So, what will you do? I'm sure you know this, but this is a rare chance."
Andre moved closer to whisper. "Think about it properly. There are a lot of problems."
"It seemed fine to me." She whispered back. "Honestly, you don't like it either, right?"
"What are you..." She was saying when he was back to the agent.
"Sorry but we would like to give it some serious thoughts."
The agent rolled hold her eyes, obviously piece with the response.
"Goodness. Take your time you might lose your chance." She replied and turned to leave. Michelle gave him another smack, once the agents had taken her leave.
"Andre, the place was totally fine." She said and he turned to her.
"You saw the mold too. It was just too much." "Why did you even have to come with me?" She asked and turned to head for home.
"You're being ungrateful? Hey, security is the most important thing to consider when taking an apartment, but it didn't look the case. The neighbourhood doesn't look really safe to me." "But what if someone takes up the place? Should I just call the agent and say I will take it?"
"Don't." He said and she turned to glare at him. "Why not?"
"You didn't like the place either."
"Of course. It's not as good as your place."
"Then, you can keep thing at my house." Andre said and the glare on her face disappeared. "What?"
He tore his eyes off her and his increased his walking pace.
"Are you for real?" She asked, as she went after him.
The amusement park was bubbling with life, by the time the crew arrived and the excited crew went to start the adventure at the shooting range first.
"Can you get me a doll?" Jennie asked.
"Which one?" Sola asked and Jennie pointed to her favorite character, which was on one of the shelves.
"I want Chimchim."
"Alright." Sol replied and picked up one of the fake guns by the toy draw, before she raised it to aim at the bear.
Jennie clasped her hands together with the batted breath, as Sol fired and the target came down with a clack sound.
"You got it." She screamed, running over to pick up Chimchim, before returning to throw her arms over Sol, who smiled.
"You should try it too. I'll take a picture of you." Josh said and she turned to the target.
"I'm not sure I can do it."
"Come on. Give it a try." He said and she reached to pick up the gun before she raised it to aim.
Josh's camera went clinking from beside her and she closed an eye to aim properly, before she fired. Unfortunately, she missed the target.
"Crap." She said as she lowered the gun and turned to Josh. "You should give it a try." "Alright." He replied, handing the camera over to her, before receiving the gun from her.
Raising it, he leaned back and tilted his head to take an aim.
The target came down with a loud clack and Tahti a hand over her mouth as he walked over to fetch a bear.
"Here you go." He said, when he returned to hand over the bear to her, which she received, with a smile.
"Thank you."
"You got that doll?" Somebody asked from behind them and Tahti turned to see Jennie walking towards them, with a pout.
"Hey, Jennie." She smiled, but Jennie's eyes were fixated on the doll and Tahti knew what she wanted.
She turned to Josh, to ask if she could give it to her, with her eyes and Josh grinned.
"Sure, you can." He replied and Jennie's face lightened up as she handed it over to her. "Thanks." She said, before she started to run off. "Sol, look what I got."
Tahti's smile widened once Jennie had run off, but slowly slowly disappeared when her eyes locked with Demir's, who had been observing her for a while.
"Hey, let's go ride the ferris wheel." April suggested.
"Yay."Jennie yelled and everyone headed south of the amusement park, where the ferris wheel was located.
Tahti noticed Demir slowly trod along from behind and she dragged in a ragged breath. She'd lied to Jennie earlier, when she'd asked if she was fine. How could she be when just seeing him in the flesh, unnerved every part of her body?
She would have to avoid him in order not to create more awkwardness.
"It's my first time, actually riding this." Jasmine said, looking over the tons of ferris wheels at the amusement park.
"Me too." Ramiel said and Josh slightly elbowed Tahti, who lowered her head from looking up at the ferris wheels, to look at him and he flipped through the photos on the camera, the ones he'd taken earlier.
"Isn't this looking good?" He asked and she smirked.
"Yeah. That's a great shot."
"I'll print this out and the photos from the beach last time."
She raised her head to catch a sidelong glance at Demir, who didn't look pleased with their relationship.
"No, there's no need to."
"It's going to be so pretty from up there." Ramiel said and turned to April, to give a signal to take Josh up in their wheel. April smiled, with a nod, understanding the signal, before she turned to Josh.
"Four people can ride one so you can ride with us."
Josh looked like he was about to protest, when Ramiel voiced out.
"Come on. You can take photos for us."
"I would like to, but..." Josh was saying.
"It's a deal then. Don't worry, it's going to be fun." April cut in as she took his arm and started to pull into was one of the wheels.
Tahti couldn't believed her eyes as she watched one of the amusement park workers close up the ferry wheel, before sending it to leave ground.
She was left with Chris, Jasmine, Sol, Jennie, Herley and Demir. There was no way she was willing to ride with Chris and Jasmine or Herley, as she was afraid they'd bring up questions related to her and Demir. Jennie, on the other hand would prefer to ride with Sol, so that left her with no choice than to ride with the devil himself.
She sighed her luck as she walked up the stairs to get on the next wheel for ascending, with Demir walking from behind her.
She walked over to sit one of the coach and Demir, on the other before the worker closed up the wheel.
"I don't want to ride this." Sol said and Herley turned to her.
"What?"
"I'll wait right here."
"Why?" He asked and Sol raised her head to point to the ferris wheels in the sky.
"I'm afraid of heights." She lied. In reality, Jennie was the one who was scared of heights, so she didn't want her to feel like the odd one out.
"Really?" Herley asked, sounding rather happy, instead of worried. "Then, let's wait here together. I'm afraid of heights too."
"Alright."
"You're such cowards." Jennie said, clutching the two bears to herself as she made to alight the steps when Sol reached to take her arm. "Will you be okay? You are afraid of heights too."
"I'm fine." She replied and turned back to look at the wheels. "We've come all the way here, so I should ride it. Plus, it's not a scary ride."
Sol didn't seem to trust her friend's answer. "Really? Then, I'll ride it with you."
"Really? That's nice. Let's go." She beamed. "What about me?" Herley asked Jennie turned back to wag her pink tongue at him in mockery.
The ferris wheels swung into motion, a couple of minutes later and April kept grinning as she looked out to see the view.
"We can see the ocean from here." She smiled and turned to Josh. "Can you take a picture of me?"
"Okay, sure." He replied.
"Me too."
Thy posed for a picture and April waited for the camera to go click before she pushed Ramiel out of the frame to take a solo picture. Derek was just turning as Ramiel made a move to ruin her picture and she lashed out her foot to kick him in response.
"Move out of the way." She laughed, before posing for another picture.
Her eyes returned to meet their Derek, who hurriedly tore her eyes off her to look out of the window.
"Let's take a picture." She said, reaching forward to grab his arm but Derek slapped of her hand.
"It's dangerous. Just stay still." He replied, fear written in his voice and she smiled, noticing his fear.
"Hey, why do you have to talk like that if you are so scared?"
"It's so pretty." Jasmine gushed as their wheel arrived the peak.
"Yup. It is really pretty." Chris replied, wrapping his arms from behind and around her waist, to peck her on the cheek.
"You should come check out the view. It's really pretty." Jasmine said and Jennie smiled nervously as she squeeze her fingers. Sol soon noticed her nervousness and turned to her.
"Are you scared?"
"It is slower than I thought. It's kind of scary." "Jeez!" Sol smiled and Jasmine suddenly hopped, a movement which startled Jennie. "Whoa, I bet you can see the guest house from here."
Sol turned to Jennie, who squeezed her hands tighter.
"Really? Where?"
"Over there. It's amazing."
"Hey, stop that." Sol said and the lovebirds turned to her. A glance at Jennie reminded them she was scared and they walked over to sit on the other couch.
"We are sorry."
"But you know, the thrill of riding ferris wheel is in the shaking." Chris said and Sol turned to glare at him.
"Ignore him, Sol." Jasmine sighed and she was about to check on how Jennie was doing, when Chris voiced out again.
"Sol, are you jealous of us, by any chance?" He asked. They weren't the ones who were scared of heights.
"You..."
"I'm really sorry." He apologized, with a lower his head and Sol rolled her eyes and faced Jennie, before dropping her hand over hers. "Don't worry. We'll get off soon, so just hang in there, okay?"
"Okay...But, I'm okay now." Jennie reply and Sol straightened in surprise.
"Seriously? All of a sudden?"
"Yeah, all of a sudden." She smiled and dropped her eyes to look at Sol's warm hand over hers.
"It's so pretty." Tahti whispered while looking down at the view. She couldn't recall the last time she'd riden a ferris wheel and had thrill of it.
"Yeah, it's so pretty." She'd heard Demir say and she turned to see he had leaned forward, a little towards her.
She turned back to look out but couldn't admire the beauty because he kept staring at her.
"You should look at the view. Why are you looking at me?"
"Have you been well?" He suddenly asked and she ran her dry lips over each other, as she avoided his gaze.
"Fine. A little slow so-so." She replied and he dropped his head.
"I haven't been well." He said and she sighed. She didn't ask and neither was she curious to know how he had been doing, for the past few days.
"Sorry..." Tahti was saying when he raised his head and his question caught her off guard. "Why didn't you contact me?"
"What?" She asked.
"It was my birthday yesterday." He replied.
So that was what his attitude was about. He was being like that, because she hadn't used him a happy birthday.
"You have tons of people to wish you a happy birthday." She said and she tore her eyes off him, once he was an expression on his face. You can't waver again, Tahti, she told herself. "And...I wanted to say...I'm sorry for being harsh to Stella. I shouldn't have done that. " She suddenly felt something at her knees and she startled on turning to see Demir, crouching in front of her. How had he gotten from the coach to crouching in front of her so fast?
"I wanted to hear you say happy birthday to me instead." He said and Tahti slowly clenched a fist by the side of her lap, wondering why his familiar smell scent was still hunting her.
He slowly raised his hand to her face and Tahti thought it was to trail a finger down her face, just like he'd always did. She missed that touch.
Her fist hardened and he seemed to have noticed something was wrong as he froze for a moment, before he went to take out something in her hair.
Tahti released her clenched fist, feeling a little upset that it had just been something in her hair.
"You could have told me instead."
"You're making me feel upset. Do you hate me that much?" He whispered and she choose not to answer, but to look at the view outside.
