Tahti's piece was finally completed a week and few days after and she stepped back the moment they were done to examine her new piece of a half naked woman, with a metallic rustic crest of a crown of stars on her head.
Deep down, Tahti felt somewhat grateful for the accident that had happened She had been able to get news knowledge and ideas, working on her new piece, which had turned out to be quite a beauty, compared to the previous artwork.
Her eyes moved from the piece to Demir, who was now standing in front of the peace and surveying it with utmost satisfaction. The idea of the piece had been his idea and although she hadn't known why, she hadn't dared to ask.
Her piece had started well, crumbled and then was remade again, just like her relationship with Demir but just like her piece, was her relationship, with him ever going to be remade? She didn't think so.
Not wanting to think about it anymore, she cleared her throat to get his attention, into focusing at the matter at hand.
"Well... thank you."
"You look the happiest, when you are working on your piece..." He said, a smile crossing his lips as he added. "...and the prettiest too... I wish you good luck on your exhibition."
"Thanks." She replied, tearing her eyes off him to look at something unseen on the ground.
The silence between them was mind numbling and electric and she didn't have the boldness to look up at him, for the fear, she would be unable to handle it and go back on her demand if he gave her the puppy eyes
"I'll..." He started and she finally felt compelled to look up, to find him struggling to say something, his eyes misty with tears.
"I'll take my leave now..."
Tears blurred her vision as a rush of emotions flooded in. Dear heavens, she had fought hard, in the past few days to throw of the crippling effect of the fact that he would be leaving her soon and that the complicated feelings she had left for him, by telling herself over and over, that he was never going to be sincere with her, that he was only stringing her along so he could have sex with her, that she had made the right decision and she'd be fine if he left alone.
But, look at her now.
A sad smile crossed his lips one more time, before he turned to leave and Tahti managed to hold it together, until he walked out.
Then she collapsed, sobbing.
