Trust In A Relationship
Lunar White saw her appearance in the mirror. The dress she was wearing looked so beautiful with white bead decorations, the cut of the dress was short at the front, but made long at the back, like a peacock that opens its tail. the dress didn't reach the floor so she could still walk without having to worry about the wedding dress getting dirty.
Today is her wedding date with Nico, the man her sister introduced her to. The appearance must be very attractive. She is the main character of the wedding and all eyes will be on this couple.
"Finally, my daughter got married too."
The voice of a woman Lunar recognized was her mother, coming with her father and sister. They walked with big smiles, much different from Lunar who actually never wanted a marriage without the foundation of love to happen. She did it because of family demands only.
"Mom, Lunar isn't officially Nico's wife yet. We still have to wait for the show to start." Sora said.
"It's the same thing. Now or later, Lunar will still marry Nico."
"How can it be the same? We will never know what will happen in the future."
Only the father looks worried, his youngest child will soon be handed over to the man who will become her future husband. That doesn't change the fact that Lunar's parents forced the marriage. For the Lunar family, marriage is the best way out to lighten the burden of life's responsibilities.
Before deciding to get married, Lunar had already given a refusal, but everything ended in swear words received from her own family. She who has no power and is in a state of not having a job must give in.
Sora also had the same experience with Lunar. Who knows. Maybe luck wasn't on the White family's side. It's just that, compared to Lunar who married a young man like Nico, her sister was even more tragic because she married her father's friend.
Unlike expectations that Sora always looks happy, the necessities of life are always fulfilled properly, there must be every day that is bought to complete worldly desires. Maybe that's also the reason why Sora supports the decision of their parents.
The man who married Sora was classified as rich, but not young. Lunar was confused as to why her sister could survive with an old man. Don't know how Lunar's life would be if she had to be in her sister's position.
Luckily Lunar was introduced to Nico, Sora's friend. At least the sister still thinks about her feelings of not wanting to live with an old man. Now she can only depend on the hope that one day her feelings for Nico will grow.
"By the way, where is Nico? I haven't seen him since earlier." Sora said with a confused face.
Lunar remembered when she was still busy making up, Nico who had finished earlier said that he wanted to go to the toilet. But this is too long just to go to the toilet. In addition, the wedding ceremony will soon begin. She couldn't call because Nico's phone was on her.
"Nico said he was going to the toilet, but this is taking too long. I'll go look for him." Lunar is restless, afraid something bad will happen to her future husband.
Lunar was looking around for Nico. It had been over five minutes since she was no longer in the dressing room and still had not found him.
"Uh!" She sighed.
She will not be left married, right?
Lunar would be very happy if so, but that thought existed before they had prepared the wedding properly. Now that everyone has gathered to await their wedding, there's no way it can be cancelled because that will only make their name worse in people's eyes.
"Nico ...."
It was not Lunar's voice. She heard it from a hotel room slightly open the door. It was obvious because she was right in front of that door now and tried to calm herself.
"Oh, yes, Nico ...."
Lunar surprised. Until now, she still hopes that Nico not her future husband. There's no way Nico would do something crazy like sleeping with another woman when their wedding was about to take place.
She opened the door slowly so she could get more views. It is true that lovers are wrestling in bed. When the man turned around while trying to kiss the woman in there, she widened her eyes.
Her hopes were in vain because that man was Nico who would marry her. Unintentionally, she immediately shouted and stepped back, then left there as fast as possible because she could no longer see the sight that hurt her heart.
She had tried to accept the unwanted marriage, choosing Nico as his future husband. Today is her wedding date and received a betrayal. Why everything be like this? It really hurts her a lot.
"Lunar!"
Lunar's hand was pulled, she had to turn around. It was sickening to have to deal with the man who had betrayed her, especially since Nico didn't show the slightest expression of regret. How could she be fooled by Nico's kindness to her all this time?
"I hate you, Nico! Let me go!" Lunar tried to release Nico's grip on his wrist.
"Stop making a mess."
Lunar was brought into the hotel room earlier and the door was tightly closed. Now the three of them were facing each other. So sad for Lunar who had to look at Nico wearing only boxers and an unbuttoned shirt, plus when she looked at the woman who was still sitting on the bed and just trying to cover herself with a blanket. It wasn't Lunar who made the mess, it was Nico.
Lunar looked at the clothes lying on the floor and immediately became angry. "You slept with a hotel employee?"
"It's just a mistake." Nico said lightly.
"Just a mistake?" Lunar chuckled in disbelief at the reason she heard.
"If all of this is a mistake, it means I have to report this incident to the hotel so that the employee who seduced you is fired immediately." Lunar pointed at the hotel employee without even glancing at the person she was pointing at.
"I won't allow you to do it." Nico said while buttoning his shirt one by one.
"Our wedding will start soon. We have to go as soon as possible so that the invited guests don't have to wait long," continued Nico.
Once again Lunar laughed at the attitude of a man who lightly discussed marriage after betraying in plain sight.
"You think after I saw your affair, I would still marry you? Don't dream, Nico! I would never marry a man like you!"
Lunar walked away from the hotel room, ignoring Nico's words that tried to stop her. Now it's not the guests she has to think about, but how to prevent the wedding from happening.
Lunar rushed to the dressing room to meet her family and tell about Nico betrayal. That made Lunar's parents very angry.
"There will be no wedding for today." Said the father, clenching his fist.
"Everything is not true, Father."
In the midst of that atmosphere, Nico appeared neatly dressed, a formal suit for a man who was about to get married.
"Lunar just wanted to make me look bad to cancel the wedding." Nico explained.
Lunar widened eyes. What Nico said just now was clearly the opposite fact.
"I—I really saw it with my own eyes when Nico slept with another woman. I'm not lying at all!"
"Lunar refused to marry Nico before. Maybe, this is also her plan to cancel the wedding." Sora said.
"What do you mean? Doesn't my existence here prove that I accept the marriage?"
Sora shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows."
Lunar's legs seemed to go limp knowing that Sora was not on her side, preferring Nico who had committed betrayal. They are siblings and are supposed to support each another. Sora didn't believe her.
"The wedding ceremony will start. Don't let your good name be tarnished because of the reasons you gave to thwart the marriage. Hurry up and get ready to welcome your happy day." Said the mother.
They all left Lunar, except Nico, the man looked happy because he had succeeded in tricking a family, he showed off a winning smile before left.
How Lunar have to go through a marriage that she increasingly doesn't want to go through? If she got married, who knows what other betrayal will be received. She couldn't live in pain all the time living with a man like Nico.
Lunar looked around, only herself and the make-up artist were left there. Everyone seems to be already at the venue.
"Hey, you over there, can you help me?"
The makeup artist looks confused when called. She looked around and found the answer that there were only the two of them there.
"Me, Madam?" The makeup artist asked again to be sure while pointing at herself.
