I saw what you did
After stepping out of the pub, his eyes wandered around the darkened lot which was illuminated by only the lamp post some distance away.
The night air was frigid and the hair at the back of his skin tingled, not entirely because of the weather, but because he sensed something, rather someone following him.
He sniffed the air and he caught a whiff of vanilla which was familiar to him and another odd fragrance.
Despite how odd the other fragrance was, his body reacted to it.
Trevor cussed as his groin tingled, he clenched his teeth and glared at no one in particular.
He had never reacted to someone's fragrance, he liked seeing his women, and most of the time, he goes for a pretty face rather than the curves.
However, the particular fragrance which he identified as mint mixed with strawberry didn't only make him feel dizzy as it became stronger, it made him feel a strange sensation all over.
His heart palpitated and he gritted his teeth.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and turned to the other direction where the Vanilla fragrance was coming from.
He stayed in a dark corner as he heard footsteps and when they got closer, Trevor leapt out of the shadow, startling the figure.
His eyes locked on Lauren, he glimpsed the tears in her huge pale blue eyes that were filled with fear and pain, also, as the club that was in her shaking left hand.
Lauren bit her bottom lip to stop it from trembling, but no matter how hard she tried, it even got worse.
She shouldn't be in his presence, she shouldn't confront him, but she couldn't help herself.
Seeing her friend in the crimson thick puddle, lying lifeless on the bed was enough indication to let her know the man before her was dangerous.
But again, she tried to wrap her head around why he had done it. She couldn't.
"What do you want?!"
"What did you do to her?! Monster!"
Trevor creased his brows, shaking his head as she took a step forward. She must have gone to see Tricia after he left and he had sensed she would as she had looked at him suspiciously.
"Y-y-you are a monster and you killed my best friend!" Lauren sobbed.
She stepped forward again, the club still in her trembling hands.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, sweetheart." Trevor tutted as she hoisted the club in her hand.
He swooshed to her side and tossed the club away, then pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Monster!" Lauren shrieked, but the sound was muffled with Trevor's hand.
"You'll do as I say." He mumbled, staring into her eyes.
"I'll do as you say," Lauren repeated after a few seconds.
"That's good." Trevor grinned, patting her head.
"Stab your heart and don't scream."
Lauren frowned, shaking her head. About to object, Trevor repeated what he said earlier and she said it after him.
Lauren gripped the pocket knife he extended towards her and thrust it into her heart. She bit her lower lips and a gasp slipped out of her mouth.
"I...I…" She stuttered, stepping backward as she glimpsed Trevor's eyes.
A devilish smirk appeared on his face and he stepped toward her. His blue-green eyes turned golden and two sharp canines protruded out of his mouth.
He growled, "Yes, I am the devil himself."
He clamped her neck and sank his teeth into it before disentangling it.
He exhaled as the frigid wind blasted his face.
Digging his hand into the breast pocket of the tux he donned, he brought out a white fabric, cleaning his face which was stained with Lauren's blood, he tossed the material into the nearest trash can and proceeded to his car.
"I know what you did."
Trevor halted, his muscles tensed up at the cool voice. Also, the odd scent came again. He didn't need to be told it was from her as the sweet aroma enveloped him, doing injustice to his senses.
"I can sense death all over you." The voice mumbled.
Trevor didn't need to turn to know the voice that had halted him was feminine, but he was perplexed she had seen him draining Lauren.
Except for when Lauren had sensed what he did after seeing Tricia, no one had ever caught him until now.
He wondered if she had seen him drained off Tricia as well. But it was a ridiculous thought since his room was on the tenth floor of the building.
"I am happy you are not denying it."
Trevor swirled and his eyes collided with sea-green eyes. It was as beautiful as the seaweed and the rarest he had ever seen.
She was blonde and petite. Also, she looks several years younger than him, perhaps, in her late teens. But he couldn't tell. She tilted her oval face and her button nose wrinkled whilst her rosebud lips twisted down in disgust.
"Who are you and why are you stalking me?!" Demanded Trevor.
He was not ready for a little chit chat and he doubted the girl before he was ready for that as well.
"Stalking you?!" She asked. Then, she tossed her head back and burst out laughing.
"Of course!"
The girl rolled her eyes, "Please, I have far more important things to do than stalk a brat and pompous man like you."
Trevor gritted his teeth and marched towards her. "Stop playing games with me or you'd rather wait for me to snap your neck before you tell me the f**k who you are?"
Kira shrugged his hands off and glared at him. She wondered why he was hellbent on knowing the reason she had seen him killing the poor girl.
Just as she had imagined, he was indeed pompous but he was a killer as well.
Kira shrugged, "I am playing no games with you. I just wanted you to know I saw everything that happened."
Trevor's eyes darkened as he stood in front of her, and his hand moved to clasp her shoulder.
Kira saw him from the corner of her eyes and she swerved. Reflexively, she dodged an incoming blow and swerved as he sprinted toward her.
Kira smirked. She glimpsed his aura changing and the fury he was trying to suppress in his eyes.
"I'm no pushover."
Catching him off balance, she kicked him in his shin and shoved him into the lamp post.
Trevor groaned and glowered at her. He took a moment to appreciate the woman that had expertly dodged his blow.
Despite her small frame, she was indeed no pushover.
Still, he didn't think he could leave her with that much information she knew. No one had ever seen him whilst on a mission.
Even when they did, just as Lauren was trying to stalk him from before, he'd annihilate them, that was what he always does.
He couldn't afford his secret to be wide in the open.
A growl escaped his lips as he straightened, then he noticed she was staring away from him. He used the opportunity to sneak up beside her and his hand moved to tug her by her hair.
But Kira sensed him behind her and she swirled. Her elbow moved reflexively and struck his chin.
Then, she booted him in his groin earning a groan from him.
"Bitch!" Trevor howled in pain. He clamped his hands between his thighs and fell to the ground.
"That'd teach you never to sneak up on me," Kira glared, her knees collided with his face and she raised her hands in the air.
"Never underestimate what I can do!"
Trevor moaned and the ground tilted underneath him. His head reeled and it pounded as a splitting headache surged into him.
He grasped the wet grass and attempted to lift himself, but it was of no use since he kept falling whenever he took a step.
And the girl in his front wasn't helping the matter. He didn't know what she was doing to him and worst he could do nothing to stop the situation he was in.
Was this his end? He pondered as he slipped into consciousness.
