That nobody can't make me a queen
"This is a sacred place and not where you can come in to destroy things!" Fuji, the guard with a buzz cut said.
Kira sized him up, he was huge. Both were huger than her as well as muscular. There was no way she could take them out in battle since they were seasoned warriors and she believed one of their thighs would crush her since they were practically a giant.
But then, she wasn't trying to combat them with her hands.
"Listen to him, little girl." Eugene, the other guard, with crooked teeth and bushy beard, asserted.
He narrowed his eyes as Kira stepped forward with her hands raised.
"I can take you both." She mumbled, gazing around.
Her eyes zeroed on the large club at the corner of the room, then at the guard.
A chuckle slipped out of Fuji's mouth before it turned into full-blown laughter.
"Don't tell me you are thinking of hitting me with that…"
Before he could complete his statement, Kira flipped into the air, plucked out the knife in the cargo pants she donned and thrust it into his shoulder.
He staggered back and shrieked. Kira used the opportunity to boot his shin to catch him off balance.
"You, little wench!" Fuji howled in pain.
She darted towards Eugene and yelled, "Retentus!"
Eugene tripped and fell on his face. He groaned and attempted to stand on his feet but Kira was quick and yelled.
"Somnum!" Both slumped to the ground and fell into a deep sleep.
Breathing heavily, Kira booted the door of the chamber until it gave way.
"Mother Lucia!"
Angrily, she stretched forth her hand and sent a table flying to the window side as she glimpsed Mother Lucia in her usual meditating position with her arms crossed and eyes closed.
Kira doubted the woman was oblivious to what was happening since she had not reacted to her, even with her scream which was enough to make anyone go deaf.
She squinted gazing at the woman paying her little attention.
"This is how you want it, uhn? I knew I shouldn't have trusted you!"
Still, no response.
"Fine! Avertas!" Kira glared at the candles that surrounded her and all went off.
"Ifriizi," Mother Lucia said.
"What the hell?!"
Kira yelled as her feet got stuck to the ground. "Let go of me, liar!"
Mother Lucia rose from the position she was in and stared at Kira, she shook her head slowly and her eyes went towards the high ceiling.
"I said, let go of me!"
"Silentium." Mother Lucia snapped her finger.
Kira glared and mumbled as her mouth was sealed.
"You'll speak when I ask you to and you'll do that in a sensible manner." Mother Lucia said slowly.
She walked towards the door and tossed some scented water on Eugene and Fuji.
Both jerked awake and straightened.
"She is just a little girl. You can take her out but you let her catch you off guard."
"We are sorry, mother. It won't happen anymore." Fuji said with a bow.
Kira snorted as she heard the voice of the guard with a Fuji.
"What do you want, child?"
Kira let out a relieved sigh as she could move her body again, also her mouth could form words.
She glared at mother Lucia but made sure she didn't anger the woman to make her cast another spell on her.
She didn't like to be frozen. She often got that spell all the time because Mother Lucia said it was one of the spells that were good for rebellious people like her.
"You lied to me, mother. Seeing as I trusted you but all your words were lies!"
"How so?"
"I met the man that the prophecy talked about or maybe I imagined what I felt whilst with him because he is nowhere being a king. He is a bloody nobody and a freaking killer!"
"The prophecy about me finding a man is all lies. I can assure you that now and I freaking trusted you. Why let me waste my time on something less important?!" Kira raved.
"I knew it'd come to this." Mother Lucia said calmly. A small smile played on her lips and she stared at Kira.
"Ever since I've known you, you've always been a stubborn child. Even now, it got worse. But you need to control yourself else you are seeking your destruction since whenever you get angry, you tend to do irrational things."
"That is not what we are talking about! Stop trying to change the subject here." Kira snapped.
"Of course, it's not." Mother Lucia mumbled. "That man you saw is the one for you and I had never lied to you before, my darling child. He is the one that'd make you a queen and you need to go back to him."
Kira snorted, and shrieked at the retreating back of Mother Lucia, "That nobody can't make me a queen!"
She tugged her hair in frustration and stalked out of the temple angrily.
***********
For the umpteenth time, Kira attempted to wipe the tears that cascaded down her cheeks with the back of her palm. But it was no use as more kept coming out whenever she cleaned it.
She grasped a kleenex and blew her nose into it noisily before tossing it into the trash can.
"Keira?"
Kira's eyes wandered to the doorway, she glimpsed her parents standing there and she shook her head.
They were the only ones who called her by her full name, aside from Mother Lucia who was also like a mother to her since she had practically raised her.
"What is wrong? You seemed happy the last time before you left." Her mother, Catherine asked. Her brows creased and she stepped into the room further.
"Of course, that was when I thought I was going for a reasonable mission!"
"What happened?" Her father, Jerome, sat beside her on the bed.
"Mother Lucia lied. She freaking lied to me!"
"And don't even take her side!" Kira yelled as she glimpsed the hesitation in her parents' eyes.
They always think highly of Mother Lucia and had told her, she was the one who prophesied her birth.
"Mother Lucia never lies and you know she is also your mother and she guards you against everything. So, why would she lie to you?"
"I don't care about whatever she did to both of you or whatever she says during my birth, all I know is she is a liar and I will never believe whatever comes out from her mouth anymore!"
"Keira, watch how you speak of the seer!" Her father scolded.
"And one more thing," Kira mumbled, staring at her parents. "I'm outta here. I can't stay anymore."
With that, she left the room. Even as her parents kept yelling her name, she didn't stop.
