HYBRID GROSS 21

Gross takes my hand and heads off the porch, walking so fast I have to run to keep up. Neither of us says anything until we're several feet away from the cabin, past the helicopter, and next thing I know, we're almost where I found him. I stop for a few seconds and pull his arm to stop him from walking.
"Gross, calm down!" — I exclaim, half out of breath — That way we'll stop in the city.
Then he stops and lets go of my hand, turns to face me, still looking quite pissed off.
"That male kept looking at you!" He wanted to be alone with you. You must not be alone with him, Victoria, or any other male.
OK...
- You are jealous? I try to suppress a smile.
— I don't know exactly what it means, I've never felt it. — looks confused all of a sudden.
— What are you feeling, can you tell me in words? I ask.
“I'm angry at the thought of him wanting to touch you and being possessive of you at the same time. I've felt possessive of you before, the first time I touched you, but this is stronger.
"Stronger how?" What else do you feel?
"I..." He looks uncertain, maybe afraid to say what he's really feeling, his face gets a little flushed and I think it's adorable.
“You can tell me anything you want. — I encourage you.
- I do not want to leave you. - he releases, like a rant - My chest starts to hurt when I think about the possibility of going away from you, of not seeing you again. Tears fill my eyes.
- Same?
- Yea. Did I make you sad?
“These are tears of relief and happiness.
— Do you feel relief and happiness when I say I don't want to leave you?
- Yea! I don't want you to leave me either. I reach out to him, placing my hand on his face and pulling him closer to me. “Gross, I'm going to miss you desperately when you're gone.
Surprise lines his handsome face and then his lips are on mine. His tongue dips inside my mouth, kissing me intensely. His hands lift me until my feet slowly leave the ground. I wrap my legs around his waist to align our faces better, to deepen the kiss. Desire and passion fill me instantly.
“Victoria. — he grunts my name, pulling his lips away from mine — Will you come with me to HybridFalls ?
My heart races so hard it hurts.
- Are you serious?
- I'm talking very serious. I want you to stay with me. I want to meet my people and live as they do, but I want you to go with me. I feel like it won't make sense without you, I really do, Victoria.
My breath catches as the penny of his words sinks in on me.
"Are you going to at least think about it?" I don't want to give up what we lived together, I know it wasn't much of our time, but I don't think it matters because I feel a lot of pain in my heart at the thought of leaving you.
So many thoughts and emotions fill my mind that I'm speechless, tears fill my eyes and I fight a fit of crying. He wants to be with me. Great happiness fills my heart, a feeling I haven't felt in years. I open my mouth to say absolutely yes, but Gross speaks first.
“I don't want you to feel pressured to say yes, out of compassion or pity. I want you to think about it and be honest, I don't know what my reaction will be if I don't accept it. So don't answer me now. I'll help them with any repairs they need while you think about it.
“Okay, but I already have my answer, I didn't even have to think about what it would be. —their lines of expression become tense.
“In a few hours we'll talk about this again.
I hope he's not reconsidering the request. I force air into my lungs, silently praying that he didn't just ask me to share a life with him on the spur of the moment.
If he changes his mind, it will tear me apart from the inside. But thinking about it, he's right, we should think about it so we don't regret it later, although I'm absolutely sure I'll never regret saving him.
"Gross, Victoria!" Zest calls out in the distance, waving her hands.
— Are you calm enough to come back? I ask Gross.
“Yes, we can go back. he replies, sets me down and holds my hand as we walk back.
“Is everything okay, Zest?” I speak first as we approach.
“The damage wasn't that bad. We will make repairs and leave at sunrise, it's not safe to return at night, we learned that in some missions where we were attacked. the hybrid reports.
"What caused this damage?" Gross asks.
— We were attacked, but as the attack was inferior, coming from a passenger car, there was nothing difficult to repair. he explains.
"Why were they attacked?" Gross continues to inquire.
“Our friend Black stole a woman and the human male who thought he owned her went after her. He had left her in the care of our people in the domain to come with us because it hasn't been long since we rescued him too and he knows better than anyone else with a hybrid that has never known freedom until then.
"And where is this Black?" I didn't see him here.
“We were flying here from the domain , however, it looks like this human male followed us there and as soon as we took off, he opened fire, so we need to land again, somewhere else and leave Black to settle his issues and Timber was appointed in his place.
- I understand.
— Repairs could not be done immediately as the priority was to get here as quickly as possible, however it is not as close as the GPS shows.
— What is a GPS? - he asks.
“It's a device that lets you find locations. I answer him, finding it cute how sometimes he doesn't know what certain things mean.
"Zest, help here!" Timber yells from the helicopter. "I need someone to hold the flashlight, it's starting to get dark."
"Where's Brute?! - the male asks.
“We need more. - the other replies.
“I'll help them. Gross is ready.
“He's very good at repairing things. I smile stroking his arm and then he winks at me.
“There's something else I need to finish repairing, but I think I'll take it with me. My heart races and Zest stares, not understanding our metaphors.
Both walk away, heading towards the helicopter where they begin to work. At some moments Gross seems to show his fangs to Timber who bursts out laughing, he seems to enjoy teasing other males. Overall, for the next few minutes I spend watching them, they are talking and seemingly getting along. My heart is at peace right now.
Gross invited me to go with him and there's nothing now that would make me change my answer, in fact, there's nothing now that could take away the peace I'm feeling, especially when my Hybrid looks at me and flashes that flawless smile.
