HYBRID TIMBER 20
The two friends ended up falling into a nap, Eva woke up first, a little scared and fearful that everything that had happened was just a dream, however little by little it dawned on her that it was real, she looked at Susan sleeping and shook her lightly.
"What was it…" Susan mumbled.
“We slept. She picked up her cell phone and it was two in the afternoon.
She also saw that there were several missed calls from Bruce and his mother, she shuddered thinking that maybe they could have figured out that she knew everything, but preferred to think that they just weren't used to her disappearing for hours during the day, besides, it was the damn wedding day.
Her stomach rumbled because she hadn't had breakfast and now she'd missed lunch. I just had ice cream in my stomach.
- What's the matter? Susan was still sleepy.
“We need to take the next step, I don't have much time. What do I do? Confront my mother and then Bruce? — the girl was distressed.
“It's risky to just throw it all out like that, Bruce could hurt you like he's done before. - Said Susan making a high bun in her curls.
"I don't know what to do…" Eva ran her hands through her hair and then a feeling of revenge swept through her.
Susan looked at her, seeming to have had the same thought.
“Not putting ideas in your head or anything, but I'd put the pictures on a screen right at the wedding and leave the asshole at the altar.
- I thought the same. Eva declared. "Am I a bad person for this?"
- No! He deserves it! He beat you, humiliated you, lied to you and would destroy your life. We just don't know how we're going to go about proving Aunt Ruthie's affair with Pastor Teddy.
- I have an idea. Nothing to prove, but a speech well done. My mom practically sold me out, I'm so angry. How could she?
“Exactly, and not practically. She sold you!
— We still don't know the real reason for this whole lie, if that's what we assume. However, I'm so hurt by this that I don't care if I'm being a bad daughter and person for debunking them in front of everyone.
“Think what they would do to poor Vivian Bennett. They hate the Hybrids, there's a sect among them freaks, that punishes a woman who sleeps with one of those OOH hotties.
This served as more fuel for Eva to plot her revenge.
“They hate the Hybrids. “And Timber is one. Imagine what they would do to me if they found out about us? Would they have pity?
- Not at all! But you will be one against them all. There will be two actually, I will be with you. That worries me.
“You'll keep the car waiting for me outside, I'll run out of the church and you drive to HybridFalls, we'll be safe there. I need you to call for help in case something happens to me and I can't get in the car in time.
"Eve, no!" It's risky that way. I'm going to try to get a gun and I'm going to shoot anyone who tries to hurt us.
“No, Susan. Trust me. What's to stop them from killing us both if we're both in there? Do you know how to shoot?
- No but...
- Then. Trust me. I need you to get out of this if by chance everything goes wrong.
“Okay, damn it. Don't think I'm happy about it. But you're right, if they get both of us, no chance for help, if they only get one, the other one can get help.
- That's it!
“I'm scared and my anxiety is about to strike. But go get your dress, get my dad's car, he's still at my grandparents' house in Texas and he took the truck. Leave the screen and the pictures to me. Susan tried to hide her shaking hands.
- Will be all right. Eva wasn't so sure about that though.
Susan wasn't entirely satisfied with her friend's plan, but she would find her own way to save her if by chance everything went wrong.
??
Brute and Harder were trying to stop Timber from getting out of the car and picking up the human female for the tenth time. The four had been inside a black SUV since the morning of that day, Smoke was the driver. The car was parked a considerable distance from where Timber always used to drop Eva off. The male spotted her along with another human in a gray car pulling out of the street, it would have been a little hard to have noticed if he hadn't been so glassy-eyed there.
The males then followed. Some time later...
“They went into that house and haven't come out for a long time. Timber growled.
— The human with curly hair seems to be friendly with her female, she couldn't do anything bad to her. Brute exclaimed.
- How do you know? The male was nervous.
“She's tiny and looks frail. — Brute left his opinion of Susan — Besides, what confused females, they went to a hotel, stayed a few minutes in reception and left. What were they doing there?
“They stopped at one place, bought ice cream, and sat in the car in front of another house until a human male came out. Smoke said.
— They followed the car of that human that left there, entered the backyard of the house he entered, stayed a few minutes and left there running back to the car. Harder added.
“Don't forget how they drove at high speed as if they were fleeing, until they entered this house they are in now. Brute concluded.
"I wonder what's going on?" There's something and I should have gone and investigated! The human male they followed, is he the one who wants to marry my female? Timber was angry and confused.
“Our goal is to just follow your human and try to find out if she's carrying her pup, that could take days. We shouldn't intervene in anything unless it's really in danger. Brute said.
“She got sick at some point during her escape from the last house. It took all my self-control not to rush over there to take care of her. In that moment, Timber felt helpless.
“Your high control is long gone, we're the ones holding you back. Harder growled.
“I'm glad Runner understood your situation and allowed us to do this as long as we were discreet and didn't draw attention. You going after her like crazy would be the opposite of that condition. Brute reminded him, trying to talk sense into his friend's head.
Harder and Smoke agreed.
Timber just snarled at the males and crossed his arms. A few minutes later, he saw his Eva leave the house they were in, she was alone and looked downcast as before. His instincts gnawed at him to pick her up and take her with him no matter what was happening. His hands tingled, his heart ached for her and his body did too.
She began to imagine her pup growing inside her and fought back to keep from howling. She already fit so perfectly in his arms, the scene of her and her son there made him even more possessive.
His female got into the gray car and started it, and they followed. All the blood drained from her body, giving way to a deadly rage as she parked in front of a bridal shop and went inside. The memory that she was going to marry the human male hit him hard and he felt his heart breaking more than it already felt.
"Is she getting married today?" Harder questioned.
Timber just grunted, very angry.
“Calm down, male. Don't think about doing anything silly. Smoke looked at him.
“I won't let her get married. I will not see before my eyes my female marrying another, even more likely to be carrying my child. She is mine! Timber growled, his possessive instincts consuming him.
"You won't do anything stupid!" Brute roared.
“She's leaving. We must keep following her and not start a fight. Harder intervened.
Timber clenched his fists and took a deep breath, trying to calm the rage that was consuming him. He couldn't identify himself at that moment, he had always been peaceful and happy, but Eva's lack and rejection was driving him crazy and irrational.
Smoke drove following the car she was in and they stopped a considerable distance away when she parked in front of a small, simple house, got out with the large package in her hands and went inside.
At that moment, the only thing on the male's mind was breaking into that house and stealing his wife. He didn't give a damn about her status with the human male, Eve was his and no one would take her from him.
