#8 - The ability to bounce

Bungie ambushed Scabbers while he was sleeping.

However, its little paws didn't have much strength, so it didn't cause much damage.

Seeing Scabbers preparing to retaliate, Moon quickly grabbed Bungie back.

"Sorry, I don't know why he did that."

Moon hid Bungie behind him, sincerely looking at the terrified and angry Ron.

"Scabbers is already very old, you..."

Hearing Moon's explanation, Bungie turned his head and looked over in confusion, as if accusing Moon of distorting his words.

Seeing that Moon was no longer paying attention to him, but participating in the discussion with the two boys opposite him, Bungie angrily returned to Moon's pocket, and even pulled up the zipper.

During the chat, Moon found that Ron knew a lot about the wizarding world, such as the Ministry of Magic, Quidditch, goblins, the four houses of Hogwarts, etc. He knew all of these things.

Moon also learned about Harry's identity, the boy who lived, the Dark Lord's destined nemesis...

The three of them chatted until lunchtime. Harry wanted to thank Moon for the gift, so Moon got another meal on the train.

After collecting a Merlin Chocolate Frog card and eating three flavors of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Moon felt a wave of drowsiness coming over him.

Last night, he stayed up late reading magic books out of curiosity, and then went to the zoo early in the morning, so he only slept for two hours in total.

But just as he was about to cover himself with his clothes and go to sleep, a crying boy knocked on the compartment door.

"Excuse me, I wanted to ask, have you seen my toad?"

Moon was about to doze off, and ignored him. Harry and Ron responded that they hadn't.

The boy left, and the voices of Harry and Ron opposite them also became quieter.

The buzzing sound of the train really helped to sleep, and Moon's consciousness quickly returned.

But this time he still couldn't fall asleep, the compartment door opened again, and a loud little girl's voice came in.

"Have you seen Neville's toad?"

But this little girl was very unusual. Moon found that there was actually half a bar in the frame above her head.

This was different from him, Harry, Ron, and Neville standing outside the door. They were all blank.

"Is there something on my hair?"

After showing off that she had read all the textbooks, the little girl introduced herself as Hermione Granger, and then noticed Moon's gaze.

"It's nothing, are you looking for a toad?"

"Yes, Neville lost one, do you have a way?"

Moon said, opened his coat pocket, and took out Bungie.

But at this time, the little guy was still angry with him, and kept his eyes closed, curled up in Moon's palm.

"Bungie, help me, one silver Sickle."

"What is this, so cute, can it find the toad?"

Seeing Moon talking to the little black ball in his hand, Hermione curiously moved her face closer.

"He should be able to, Bungie's eyes and nose are very sensitive, but I made him angry just now."

Bungie's eyelids moved.

Bungie completely woke up, chirped happily, and jumped up directly.

Then his little paws reached out.

Moon helplessly took out two golden coins from his pocket. Bungie's two small eyes were about to pop out with little stars. After admiring them for a while, he directly stuffed them into the small pocket in front of his belly.

"Okay, can you let him smell the toad's scent?" Moon looked at Neville, who was standing at the door with a dazed expression.

Moon didn't say anything, he signaled the boy to stretch out his hand.

Bungie stretched out his long nose and sniffed Neville's hand lightly, then jumped out of Moon's hand and ran out of the compartment.

"Go, follow him!"

Moon, Hermione, and Neville ran out, while Ron and Harry stayed in the compartment.

"Bungie is so amazing." Ron said, looking somewhat depressedly at Scabbers, who was sleeping on his lap.

"But Harry, did you see that Moon just gave his pet two Galleons, those are Galleons!"

"Oh, that should be Moon earning it himself, he sells wooden sculptures at the entrance of the zoo."

Harry actually wanted to go out too, but Hermione just reminded them that they should change into their robes, so the two of them didn't go out.

"Moon earns money himself? That's amazing!"

Ron sighed, and then said somewhat discouraged, "Mom never allows us to go to Diagon Alley alone, otherwise I could earn a fortune too."
