Chapter 29 - Lost Soul
SIEGE WONG's POV
This unusual sensation that I'm getting inside my body is evolving. It was a burning feeling that wouldn't be solved by simply drinking any sort of beverage. I'm thirsty with the touch of Tina; I want to hold her and I want to hear her sweet voice calling my name.
I want to keep her as my only possession where she wouldn't be able to escape my grasp.
And that would only be possible if I accept the offer of this moon goddess wherein I can be alone together with Tina. She wouldn't bother being with someone else as only the two of us would have the memories of our times spent here in this disastrous, unjust world.
"So... Exactly where can we locate this Tina that you speak of?" she asked, as if she had the intention to go to her at this moment and bring the two of us to her world.
I shrugged my shoulders even though it was kind of difficult to do as she was still holding me captive. "I don't really know. She's been separated from me for days since she told me that she was being locked away by her parents in their home... We basically have no means of communication left," I answered.
All of a sudden, there was a loud buzzing sound that was coming over from the opposite side from where we're facing. The moon goddess might have also felt it as she rotated clockwise. "She's there."
Confused as I was, I kind of got the idea that she was referring to Tina.
She immediately brought me to the direction where the sound came from. It was a forest that was flaring with both red and blue flames. "T-Tina!" I yelled to call her out, though I'm unsure if she can hear me from this distance. "H-hey, bring me down! Now!" I commanded the goddess.
At first, I thought that she'd carefully take me to the ground, but no, she just randomly let go of my forearms. I fell flat to the ground and I felt as if all of my bones were dislocated.
"Damn that woman..." I cussed as I firmly stood up, then began my search for my dearest friend.
A few minutes passed, I almost lost the courage to proceed, not until I heard a faint sob of a girl. No doubts, I could sense from within the depths of my soul that it was no other than Tina herself. The voice was tiny, she's most probably trying to hide herself, scared of the possibility that either her parents or someone else that she doesn't know would be the first ones to find her.
"Where are you, Snow?" she asked, her voice slightly cracking.
All that I had to do was follow where my heart was leading me to. Wait for me, Tina... I promise that I'll come and save you no matter what.

"Tina? I told you not to wander off on your own," I uttered, then I quickly pulled her hands away from grasping her hair tightly.
She kept on repeating my name over and over again, "Snow, Snow, Snow..."
I gently embraced her to make her comfortable and to provide her with the assurance that I'll stay by her side, especially now that we're back together in one place. "Shh, Tina..." I whispered to her, as I continuously run my fingers through her silky, crimson hair. "I'm here now, Tina. Sorry if I haven't gone to meet you lately... The world that we live in right now is getting crazier day by day. I'm certain that even someone like you can understand the dangerous situation that we're all in."
"Mom and dad are even scarier lately..." Tina said while sniffing hard. "T-they were cursing at me every night. They were calling me a monster every single time that the full moon appeared. T-they were willing to kill me as I go to sleep, so I unconsciously escaped the house until I no longer noticed what direction I was going through," she explained, which somehow made me confused and at the same time, concerned at what she recently mentioned about her, being recognized as a monster every full moon.
"Tina, are you sure about what you just told me? That wasn't a mere dream of yours that you're fantasizing until this point?" I questioned just to be reassured, which Tina instantly answered with a nod of her head. "Why..." I whispered to myself, then I hurriedly rotated to the other side as I felt a presence coming to our spot. I held both of Tina's small hands to protect her if ever that the moon goddess attempts to harm her.
"Is that the girl that you speak of, kid?"
I gulped. "Yes. Bring us to your world now."
Tina struggled as she fought hard to remove her hands from mine. "W-who is she? What world are you talking about? We're not inside some kind of game, Snow!" she protested, definitely against the idea of what I'm scheming.
I bent both of my knees and even if it would hurt my pride, I begged for her to come with me. "Please, Tina... Even just for this once, cooperate with me, okay? You don't want to stay with your parents anymore, right? And also, what good is there to remain in this universe that's bound to disappear within a few hours?" I mumbled while holding onto her cheeks that were filled with her tears. "This is the only opportunity we have left to survive, Tina. It would be the best for anyone, this is a rare chance!" I continued to persuade her.
As much as possible, I want Tina to listen to me. It wouldn't be a benefit for her if ever that the moon goddess decides to hypnotize her or put a spell on her just for her to comply with what I'm saying.
Tina repetitively shook her head. "I-it's not a problem for me to leave my parents behind, but... your mom and dad are both lovely! You can't leave them behind, I can't!" She stomped her feet before she faced the other way, then marched ahead without looking back.
"You screwed up, didn't you?" the moon goddess asked, though it didn't seem to be a question out of concern. She was most probably mocking me as a kid who knew nothing but my own selfishness. "Go follow her. I'm giving you about half an hour. If she still hasn't made up her mind if she'd rather stay here or go with us, then I'm sorry but I'll be taking you with me whether you like it or not," she added.
Before my patience completely runs out, I tailed Tina's tracks. "Hey, stop! You might fall." She was heading towards the direction of my parents' house and that thought alone was enough to make my heart throb. "This ain't going to be great."
I anticipated the worst, but I wasn't expecting that Tina would actually go to my parents' side instead of proceeding inside our home. There shouldn't have been any issue if she headed in as I was told to go back to our home anyway.
"M-mom, dad..." her voice completely gave up on her as she cried nonstop.
"Tina? What are you doing here? Did they hurt you again?" mom questioned her as she immediately wiped her tears off her face. "By any chance... Did you see our son along the way?" she added to her queries.
She went silent, contemplating on whatever answer she would give to my mother. "Snow was..."
"Tina!" I called to cut her off, the three of them glanced my way. "I couldn't find what you told me," I lied to my parents.
However, it seemed to be the other way around as both of them were clueless regarding what they should say at this moment.
"W-we can't stay here anymore... She's coming here to get us both," Tina muttered with a terrified expression. "She's taking Snow away from us, and... Snow wants to get me instead of mom and dad!" she added, pertaining to my own parents.
To them, Tina was more like a younger sibling of mine, but that can't be the case for me as I see her as a stunning lady of my future.
"What are you saying?" dad asked, then gazed upon mom. "Wouldn't that be the best way to protect the two of them? They're only kids who know nothing about what the outcome of this world would turn out to be," he secretly whispered to her.
My eyes widened. They have no idea that I can hear them due to my ability.
Dad approached me. Each of his footsteps were creating a deep hole to the ground that he's landed on... as if to imply that there's no way to head back to where mom and Tina were. "S-Snow... Make sure that you'll take proper care of Tina. Don't let her experience the hardships in her next life more than what she had to go through unwillingly in this world." His words were telling me that this would be our last farewell. "I'm sure that you'll grow up as a dominant and alluring man." Dad gave me a faint grin.
I pulled the edges of my spiky hair strands. I couldn't control the rage that was flowing inside my veins. Every second that goes by only makes it worse and almost unbearable for me to handle. "G-go away..." I stuttered. As much as I yearned to push my dad, my conscience wouldn't allow me to. "Tina... Tina..."
I want to taste her so badly, to the point that I'd jump on her just to do so.
As I battled against the voices inside my head, I noticed the anxiousness in Tina's eyes.
Those precious smiles that lifted up my mood before seemed to be impossible to witness for another day, since Tina was undeniably... scared of me, her one and only mate in this lifetime and for the succeeding ones.
"Listen to me, Snow. The one that Tina was pertaining to would eventually make you regret all your decisions. She would be manipulating you as much as she wants for as long as she's still not satisfied. She used to be the same goddess that handled the future of this world, and now that she's bored of us humans, she finally made up her mind to end us," dad said. "It might have been a short ride but, I hope you don't erase us from your memories. Mom and I love you more than you love Tina," he added, which only passed through both of my ears as I didn't care about his thoughts right now.
Duplicate sounds of sirens resonated within the surroundings as Tina momentarily took steps forward, heading over to the other direction, walking away from me. It wouldn't be long enough before she gets out of my sight. "T-Tina, no. Don't go there, you'll perish!" I warned her as I tried to reach out to her with my stretched arms.
I knew for sure that there wouldn't be any type of effect on her, but it wasn't the case. Tina turned around all of a sudden and without any warning, there was an explosion directly beside her. Tina's hair got blown away with the wind and it seemed as if it was her own aura that created the flames.
"Dying here would be better than leaving your family behind, Snow. Why can't you understand that? Or are you simply being selfish?" Tina questioned me, but I no longer gave a damn.
I ran towards her and chose to ignore whatever my mom and dad were saying. "I'm sorry," I whispered to her as soon as I was able to get a hold of both of her shoulders.
It was as of that moment when I realized that my heartbeat was rapidly crazy. It's like I was about to burst myself out. I unconsciously bit her below her collarbone, and opposite to my kind, I sucked on her blood as if I was some sort of vampire instead of a werewolf. I didn't expect that she wouldn't resist. I was anticipating for the time that she would immediately push me away as I saw how scared she was of me.
"S-Snow..."
*** PRESENT TIME ***
That was the last day that I ever heard Tina's angelic voice. Right after I bit on her that time, Sarina hurriedly pulled me away from her while she carried Tina through her other hand. She made us go to this realm of hers without Tina's approval, but I didn't know that she would actually make her forget my existence.
When I heard from Kris that a woman named Celestina Villarama came to our residence, the wolf inside me went out of control. I knew from then that there was almost a ninety-nine percent probability that Celestina and Tina were the same person. She might have not any idea who Tina was, but some kind of trigger would most probably be effective to her.
"Kris," I called him.
"What?" he coldly replied, not bothering to gaze upon me.
"Who are your parents?"
Kris furrowed his eyebrows. My question was enough for him to make eye contact with me as he closed the book that he was reading. "Didn't I tell you that I had no clue who raised me before I was brought in this pack?"
I sighed. "That's just impossible."
From the very first day that I met Kristoffer, he was a lone wolf who was acting all high and mighty against everyone else. I sensed the strong power that he possessed inside himself, and that's the sole reason why I was intrigued to make him as the second in command of the Crimson Moon Pack. There was a connection between us, but I know that he wasn't with me in the previous world.
Back there, I didn't realize that the self-proclaimed moon goddess was following me and was simply keeping watch from above. She was also the one who shot both of my parents to death without my knowledge. It took me quite some days before I got my memory restored, and some part of it showed me how Sarina killed them.
Their souls were probably unable to rest in peace until now.
"Why did you ask?"
I rolled my eyes, then walked out of the office.
