Chapter 87 - The Escape I
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
It's not that I have no other choice left. Deep down, I was really waiting for the time that Siege would end up breaking in between my pledge with Kris, and that was the main reason why I paused and hesitated before.
I nodded my head. "You should also promise the same thing. I don't care anymore if you've really gotten Stella pregnant; just get her out of the Crimson Moon Pack. I want to be your Luna, and I can't bear seeing my sister taking my spot," I said, which came out of my mouth instead of letting it be said through our mind-link.
Siege placed his hand above my head, slowly ruffling my hair, saying that I was beautiful. It was the first time for me to hear him call me beautiful now that I'm a grownup. I know that Siege endlessly called me pretty when we were kids, but I never took it seriously since we were still young back then.
He moved away from me, telling me to stand still at the corner and let him handle things with Lucas and Leo. I kept on reminding him not to go too far and cross the line. It would be crucial for his life if he ended up killing one or two wolves, no matter what their sin was.
As soon as Lucas was on the verge of being hit by Siege's fist, he blocked his clenched fist with one of his hands, causing Lucas to be pushed back, his feet causing a loud noise to the ground. I know that Lucas wasn't as strong as Siege, but I can't say the same for Leo since he had my pendant.
"Leo, now!" Lucas yelled out to his beta, and that's the point when Leo struck Siege from behind.
"Siege!" I screamed, covering my mouth, afraid that the alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack was injured because of how fast Leo got on top of him.
I heaved out a sigh of relief when I saw that Siege had blocked the beta's blow. There was a mix of disappointment and despair in their eyes, and I think that they were already running out of options on how to attack Siege and put him at a disadvantage.
"Leave this place if you want to live," Siege coldly muttered.
"No one's going to leave this place alive, Siege. Not even your beloved," Leo replied at the same time that he glanced at me, causing me to feel an instinct that I had to run away.
I was also hesitating because of how Siege told me not to move away from this exact same spot and just wait for him to finish them off.
I gasped when I sensed my neck being strangled. I didn't even see that Leo was on his way to me. "S-Siege..." I barely managed to speak; my voice was getting trapped in my throat.
Even if I wasn't in front of a mirror, I know that I'm turning gray because of how tightly Leo was gripping my neck.
Siege turned around to check on me, and when he did, Lucas got to punch his face and kick his chest, letting Lucas have the opportunity to be the one dominating. He repeatedly made the same move, and Siege couldn't escape from him.
My feet were no longer touching the ground as Leo lifted me, causing me to float. I kept on tapping his arm when I felt that I was already running out of breath. Tears formed on my eyes, and I knew that I was dying at that point.
"Why did you have to take Siege here, Celestina? If only you obediently spent your time with that stranger, then this wouldn't have to happen to you," Leo said with his hoarse voice. All of his anger was being carried over to his hand, and his nails were already buried deep in my neck.
"Get your filthy hands away from Celestina, Leo! I'll kill the both of you." Siege sounded way too serious, and I don't think that he can still be stopped once he's pushed to his limits. "And Celestina, don't just let him strangle you like that! Are you going to let our training sessions go to waste? Can you really let yourself be humiliated in front of me and bring me down?" He urged me to fight back.
That was what I was planning to do, and I guess it's really time for me to release what I can do without the help of my wolf, Celeste. I have to make myself worthy of Siege, or else he might think that Stella really is more capable of being Luna.
I faked a laugh to distract Leo, and it was successful because I sensed even the slightest change in the strength of his hands that were on my neck. "You're too feasible to distract," I mumbled, along with a faint smirk.
The beta had nothing to do with me the instant that I placed both of my legs on his shoulders, pushing him as much as I could until he was forced to let go of my neck.
"You've become stronger, huh? I guess we've been underestimating you for too long," Leo said as he fixed his posture. "Come at me and show me what you've got, Celestina," he provoked me as he gestured to me to land a blow on him, using one of his hands.
I pressed my feet on the ground, causing it to form some cracks. I sipped in through the air, bracing myself for impact as I snapped my fingers before I got myself ready for his attack.
I thought that he would be setting up an ambush, but I was mistaken. He was literally waiting for me to attack him, as if he's telling me that he can block all of my attacks, no matter what trick I use.
"I'm not going to be the one to finish you off, Leo," I cheekily said as I rushed over to his back, repeatedly scratching it, letting his shirt be torn apart and for his back to be exposed with all of the scars that I'm causing him, along with the trails of his blood.
