I looked Kiyan straight in the eye and somehow the whole process happened in slow motion, because suddenly a black-haired girl came in behind him, who took his hand as a matter of course and snuggled up to him with a smile. It was the girl from his profile picture who he thought was just a friend.
"Hey guys," she said to the others, and then gave me a look that immediately showed her dislike for me. I didn't even know her and it wasn't until Micah said "Hi Chloe" behind me that I realized I was still on his lap.
I quickly got up and fumbled around nervously until Micah got up too and pushed me with his hand on my back towards the door the green haired and Zayn had just come out of. Before I went through the door, my eyes fell on Kiyan again, who just sat down on the couch with his girlfriend and whose gaze met mine.
I could neither interpret what his expression wanted to tell me nor what he was probably thinking. I just felt bad, that was the only feeling I had when I followed the others.
"Want to go first?" Micah asked me, drawing my attention to the even smaller room we found ourselves in with the scantily clad woman.
A bed, a bedside table and hardly any light. Super conditions for blood poisoning, I thought to myself and looked at him with doubt. Luckily I didn't even have to say anything because he knew me and just nodded and then sat down on the bed.
Meanwhile, I stood against a wall, took my cell phone out of my pocket and looked at Kiyan's profile picture again, lost in thought.
Just a friend....
Why was I even thinking about this? Why should he tell me the truth too? He wasn't obligated to anything and I quickly put my phone away and gasped in shock as I suddenly watched the maniac stick something through Micah's tongue. I felt nauseous and hot at the same time and I quickly turned my gaze to the light-colored carpet so as not to go crazy. If he meant I was letting something slip my tongue, then he didn't know me that well after all.
"Are you coming?" the woman asked me while Micah walked up to me and grinned stupidly.
"I can't do this," I whispered to him, looking at the woman who was standing in front of the bed putting on new gloves.
"It's not that bad. Then we'll just go again. I thought to myself that that doesn't suit you," he said and I looked at him confused.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, you never do forbidden things and that's okay too. You're just Mia," he shrugged his shoulders and took the door handle in his hand.
It only lasted a second. A second in which I thought about what kind of piercings Kiyan's girlfriend had. I took a second to think about what has become of my life even though I always did the right thing and before I knew it I was on this disgusting bed pulling up my gray hoodie.
"Now this can be a little-"
"I don't even want to know," I interrupted the green-haired madwoman and then looked to Micah, who was still standing at the door, for help. "Will you hold my hand?"
He immediately came to my side and took my hand and the situation somehow reminded me of childbirth, which made me laugh and relax.
"That'll look great on you," Micah grinned, stroking the back of my hand with his thumb. A little pain and it was over. I would not have thought that it would happen so quickly, but I was really happy when it was over and looked curiously at the piercing on my stomach.
"Go to the pharmacy, the things are written here. If it catches fire-"
"If?" I interrupted her, biting back a laugh. That would surefire ignite in this environment. I idiot hadn't even checked if she had disinfected everything.
She gave me an angry look and then was the first to disappear back into the living room. "You can also be mean, I didn't even know about you. I like it," Micah grinned and then helped me up.
"I just think it's terrible here. Can we please go then," I said to him, pulling my sweater down again.
"Whatever you want."
I followed him out of the room, wanting to flee immediately without looking at the couch again, but I couldn't help but see this image of Chloe's legs stretched across Kiyan's lap. Adam and Zayn appeared to be smoking a joint and the piercer fagd in frustration. Wow! prefab life.
"We'll be gone then," Micah said goodbye and shook hands with the boys. I just stood there and tried not to attract attention, but I felt the eyes on me, which made me stop to take a breath.
"See you later," Zayn said, and then it was finally clear to me that I wasn't going to the party.
When Micah finally left the apartment with me and we took the stairs instead of the elevator and were finally out in the fresh air again, the whole load fell off my shoulders and I finally felt free again.
"I hope you didn't just do this because of me? To be honest, I was kind of scared and didn't want to do it alone," the brown-haired man confessed to me as we strolled over to him and I was really grateful to him for his honesty.
"So you didn't want to die alone from an infection," I giggled and he immediately laughed heartily.
"You can say it like that, but seriously, Mia. I don't want to have a guilty conscience."
"I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't wanted to do it myself."
He happily put his arm around my shoulder and took a deep breath. "Then I am reassured."
So when we got to his door he wanted me to stay but I knew I'd be hanging around with him until the party and I really didn't want that so we gave a friendly hug and I sort of went happy on the way home.
