Chapter 25 Pleasurable dreams

“But why?” Derick said. “I don’t know why you’re being so paranoid over a kiss. Why do you think I would ever want to come between your relationship with your boyfriend?”

“Um, I don’t know, maybe it’s because we were once together!” She said, increasing her voice.

“Look, I don’t know whatever Edmund told you but my relationship with Marylin had nothing to do with you, and you had no right to bring it up. If I wanted to come between you and your boyfriend, I wouldn’t have bothered to help you get back home at all. I even talked to Dana to help out because I wanted in my heart for you to go back home safely. Everyone in the coven was mad at you for wanting to leave again, but I was the only one who still stood by your decision because it was what you wanted and what would truly make you happy.

“And don’t worry, if you really want us to stay away from each other from now on then fine, have it your way. I won’t be there to distract you anymore. Good luck in your quest to find the ingredients. I’m done.”

Derick finished what he had to say and walked out of the balcony angrily. He thought about the kiss. He thought that he had gotten over the feelings he had for Marylin but now it was evident that those feelings never died, even after so long. And even though he hated what she said, Joana was right; he had transferred the feelings he had for Marylin to her. But there was no need to worry about that anymore, since she wanted them to stay away from each other now, it would make it easier for him to control himself. He would not allow his feelings for her to overwhelm him again.

Joana sat there in the balcony, trying to stop the tears that threatened to run down her face. Why had she said those things to him? She had known right from time that he would transfer the feelings he had for Marylin to her, she knew that things like that would be an issue but yet she still chose to be around him. She felt bad for everything she told him; Derick had been nothing but supportive to her in her quest to return home, and now he wasn’t going to be there for her anymore. She thought of what to do as she remained there, now she didn’t feel like going back to read anymore after her argument with Derick. Why did he have to kiss her? She asked herself. And why was she angrier at the fact that she enjoyed the kiss rather than the fact that he kissed her? So many thoughts and questions kept on running in and out of her mind.

She definitely wouldn’t be able to continue studying like this, she sighed as she dragged her feet to head back to her room.

Joana went over to Derick’s room to see if he was there. He was, lying on his bed and reading a book. She knocked gently before she entered, and came in after he responded.

“Hey,” she said.

“Are you here to scold me again?”

“No,” she said. “I came to apologize for what I said to you, even though you shouldn’t have kissed me, I shouldn’t have said all those things. I’m sorry.”

She waited for Derick to say something, and when he didn’t, she continued.

“I’m also sorry for whatever I might have done in my past life to upset you. Even though I hurt you, you still helped me, and I am really grateful for that.”

Derick stood up from his bed and began walking to where she stood. Why was he coming closer? Did he want to kiss her again? What kind of games was he playing this time around? He walked closer and closer; her heart began to beat fast as she began to move backwards when he reached where she was but still kept on moving.

“What are you doing?” She asked him. He didn’t respond, instead he kept on moving closer to her until her back was against the wall, she was stuck in between his arms at the two sides, with nowhere for her to escape. Then he began to speak.

“I have been reading your thoughts, Joana dear, and I know very well that you are attracted to me. The kiss might have been accident, but your feelings for me aren’t. I know very well why you came here, and I know it wasn’t to apologize.”

She watched his hand move downward slowly after speaking, his other hand still pressed against the wall, until he got to the tip of her dress. He lifted the seam and slipped his hand into her panties. She knew she was supposed to stop him, but it was like he had some kind of control over her. He then looked at her face, yes, he wanted to see the hungry look in her eyes, he wanted to see that she wanted him the way he wanted her, and she did.

His fingers were able to locate her clit, and then he slowly did it. She let out a moan as he pushed his fingers into her slowly.

“Shhhh…” he told her as her eyes rolled in delightful pleasure after moaning. “We don’t want anyone to come in and ruin this moment.”

He then brought his face closer to hers and slipped his tongue into her mouth, which was wide open, ready to receive him. He smiled after kissing her and feeling her juice flow down his finger, she was already wet even though he just started teasing her!

He leaned in to kiss her again, and started moving his fingers within her, his hands imitating the movement of his tongue in her mouth as she continued to moan in pleasure.

“Oh, my goodness!” Joana yelled as she woke up from one of her weird, yet exciting dreams about Derick. She had gone to sleep right after their argument, and now she couldn’t be more ashamed of herself for what she had been thinking. Her heart then skipped a beat when she realized something he had said in the dream; had Derick really been reading her thoughts?
