Liliana's pov :

The next day, my eyes immediately caught Jason, now, I remembered his name better. He was wandering here and there outside of the gym with something in his hand. And I knew that he was waiting for nobody else but me.

The black half sleeves reebok t-shirt seemed so perfect for him with black track pants, for a moment, I halted and kept looking at him. Perhaps it wasn't looking, it was staring. Poor and arrogant me couldn't accept that I wasn't looking at him, I was checking him out.

He gaped in my direction, our eyes met and the color drained out of his face. I bit on my lower lip in confusion about what to do when you are caught staring at someone.

Jason took some steps ahead and smiled genuinely, "Hey! Morning, Lia! I...uh, I know, you won't talk to me, will you?" but when I didn't say anything, he lowered his gaze, "so just accept my apology, please!" he handed a card to me, his forehead became a house of parallel lines.

Cute!

The only word that came to my mind was 'cute' after seeing his face, he looked damn cute with an anxious face. My mind was melting because I don't believe in hearts and all cheesy stuff. How's one supposed to think of someone with their heart when thinking is the work of mind? Everybody does their jobs so the same goes for the mind, too. Why will the heart do the job of mind?

Don't they study science? The heart pumps oxygenated blood to the other parts of our body.

I seriously doubt whether people have a mind or not who think that we can think, feel, and want something or someone from our hearts, how's it possible?

If we can think from our heart, what's the function of our mind? Then, why do stressed and depressed people take medicines for their minds and do meditation to calm their overthinking brains?

Why don't they take medicines for their heart instead of mind?

If you feel from your heart, then, what's the function of sense organs?

If you want someone from the heart, then, what is the brain for? Our every desire foams in the brain, our mind gives signals to other organs what it wants so they function according to the brain's orders. The mind is like the CEO of the company who will give orders and our other body parts are like subordinates who will follow the CEO's orders.

According to me, our mind is the most important part of our life since it controls every part of our body but I didn't know that the brain is the most important part of our body until you fall in love and your heart replaces the significance with your mind.

This boy was losing hope, I wanted to forgive him but I just couldn't decide what I should do, I just accepted the card, and strolled into the gym. I had nothing to say to him, I wanted to give him hope that's why I took the card. Even though it was very childish to give a sorry card as an apology, it seemed cute.

The desire to look back was rising to know if he was peeking at me or not at my back but my brain controlled this urge. Though my sixth sense could feel someone's staring gaze in my back.

Workouts blow your mind away from everything so I started doing it. I focused on the exercises but between this, I didn't miss out on checking him. He was also damn great at his level. I reconsidered his shoulders, I was wrong, his shoulders were broad enough to make any girl fall at his feet.

I got spoiled by Fee's company, she's a deadly romantic bug who always chats about love and couples.

I wondered why she didn't have a boyfriend yet?! The lucky guy hadn't appeared in her life perhaps. I wish she could get someone who would cherish her and love her the way she deserved. She was so special and precious to me so I would better take care of her boyfriend in the future. If he ever dared to hurt my best friend, I'll make sure to beat the shit out of him.

Swiping the sweat off my face, I peeked at the cute guy who was looking so hot while gulping the water down his throat. I swallowed the lumps down and diverted my gaze from him before he could catch me staring at him with widened eyes.

I made my way to the parking lot and the driver drove me home. Taking a quick hot shower, I descended the stairs.

"Lily, Morning!" Richard yelled from behind me so I turned to see his filthy face.

"Morning, little boy!" I smirked and knew that he hated being younger than me.

"Anyways, help me in checking out this box. We were asked to make an electric boat so I thought why not take your opinion before submitting it to the teacher," he shrugged and before I could respond, he put that box in my hands.

"Say please! You are asking for help, be polite!" I winked and assigned the box to the floor.

"Fine, please!" He rolled his eyes and grimaced in annoyance.

A victory smirk approached my lips and I indicated to him to take the box from the floor and put it in my hands. I extended my hands and he laid the box in my hands.

I unfolded the box and as soon as I opened it, a snake popped up. I caught it in my hands and threw it on him.

"Did you expect me to shout and run after seeing an unreal snake?" Laying my hands on my hips, I pouted. "My baby brother doesn't know me well. Aww, try your luck next time!" I mocked him and headed to the dining table.

After finishing the yummy breakfast, I headed to the school. The new literature assignment just slipped from my mind, I quickly started searching for the senior-high-school students, I was a junior high school student and got a task to collaborate with my seniors and create a drama script.

Before going into class, I went to my senior's department, and I received a wonderful surprise. Mr. Casano was sitting on the last bench alone, head turned towards the window, and the cap of the pen was in his mouth, he was sucking at it.

Oh, my God! His pretty thin lip, how perfectly architectural lips!

He was in my school, and I never came across him until today. Life is full of surprises and coincidences. We met for the first time at the bus, then again at the restaurant, and then, again at his sister's birthday party, the next day at the gym, who knew I'll meet the same guy so many times at different places.

Jason lives in my neighborhood, and now, he studies in the same school as me. I bet a movie can be made on my dramatic life and tomboyish me.

Was it destiny?

Is this what people call destiny?

What the heck! What was I thinking? Fiona has damaged my brain, I don't believe in silly things like destiny.

By clearing my head, I walked towards him.

"Mr. Casano!" My voice caught his quick attention, his eyes widened and his mouth hung open loosely, "Lia? Are you for real? How did you come here?"

I prevented my chuckle which was ready to tumble out, "by foot! I don't think anyone can walk here with hands unless you are an animal," and here I free my chuckle from the prison.

He grinned widely, "thanks for talking to me! Have you accepted my apology?" He asked me with his cute puppy eyes or I should say, cute dazzling blue eyes.

"Meet me at the restaurant at two pm!" I gushed.

"Okay, okay, so there is hope, right?"

"Hope? I didn't think about it, I'm getting late for my class, bye!"

Before I could leave, some whispers of girls clashed with my ears, "is she the girlfriend of Jason?" "How could she be his girlfriend? Eww!" "She looks like a boy, haha!" "Look at her shirt, it seems like a gent's shirt!"

I approached the group of gossiping girls and thudded the bench with my hand, achieved success to give them a shock and get their attention, "do you think you have the right to drag your nose in my business?" I lowered my head and uttered with a bitter tone.

"Who gave you the fucking right to discuss our lives? Do you get paid for gossiping?" I looked at all the girls, one by one.

"Even if he is my damn boyfriend or not, it's none of your concern, can you focus on your study rather than talking shit about other people?" I smirked, "poor girls, grow up! We don't need to explain to silly girls like you what we are…!

"Don't you ever dare to mess with me again! I won't tolerate your bullshit again, and please, mind your fucking business," I pointed my index fingers to the girls, and their jaw went slack.

I turned to look at him, he was stunned but as soon as our eyes met, he smiled.
