First call

Liliana's pov :

No one was at home except me and Richard, my baby brother who never gives a damn about his elder sister.

That's what I liked about Jason, he loves his elder sister so much. The day when he threw a surprise party on Barbie's birthday and said those sweet words to me which were actually for his sister, I started feeling something for him.

I can't beg Richard to love me and respect me, so just accept everyone however they are, you can't change someone. He is a spoiled brat, my dear mom has spoiled him so much that he doesn't even listen to anyone.

Since we are alone in the huge mansion, Fee and I can do whatever we want. John happily informed me that my parents are out of the country and will return home after two days.

I quickly took a shower and went to Fee, "Fiona, my parents are out of the country for two days. Wanna have some fun?" I tried to cheer her up.

She was looking despondent, "no! Not in the mood for fun after a bad day," she pursed her lips like she didn't want to say it but involuntarily, the words came out from her mouth.

"Fuck what happened! The opportunities like this come occasionally only, no one is at my home, we can go anywhere and have fun tonight," I suggested to her and tried to divert her mind.

She gave me that innocent baby look, "I'm not in the mood to have any fun but you seem so excited," she shrugged, "so let's do whatever you want to…" she lowered her gaze.

I knew very well she was the kind of person who is easy to hurt since I wanted to make her feel better, my genius mind started thinking about what should I do to make her feel happy?

"Hey, have you ever tried beer? Or any other alcohol?" I mumbled with a devilish smile and a dirty look on my face.

Her eyes lightened up, "uh, there is something which I always wanted to do but I couldn't do due to lack of courage and loneliness." She spoke with a low voice.

"I'm pretty sure, it's something weird or dirty, right?" I smirked.

"Bitch, it's just that my plan is better than yours. I always wanted to go to a bar or any club with my friend and dance after being drunk as a skunk," she seemed so excited.

I never liked the idea of partying, "dance? Drunk? Bar? You, dirty bitch! Let's go then," I was curious to know what people do at parties, so I wanted to take the adventure of going to the bar.

"Are you sure? Don't you have any doubt or are you coming just to make me feel better?" She inquired with her squinted eyes.

Before I could reply to her question, my phone rang and it was Jason.

I frowned, Fee saw my expression and snatched my phone to see who it was.

She accepted the call and put the phone on speaker.

"Lia, can you reply to my messages?" He barked.

"Okay! Cut the call, I'll see and reply to all of your texts. Bye!" His voice made my blood boil.

Fee narrowed her eyes at me like I was misbehaving and she was my mother to teach me how to behave! What the heck!

"No! Why are you mad at me, Lia? I just texted you to ask about Fee, is she okay?" Now, his voice was worried and guilty.

What is the relationship between us?

I felt guilty for not even checking his messages, "I'm not mad at you but I can't guarantee that I can forgive your bastard friend, even if she is okay or not, he doesn't care, he owes an apology to Fee," I can't control myself when the scene of the cafeteria come across my mind.

Fee laid my phone into my palm and left. I didn't know why she was so hurt because of that asshole George, she should have been furious, not hurt.

"I'm sorry on behalf of him. I don't want to offend you but to be honest, you still don't know so many things about Fiona and George which I want to discuss with you. Please, try to understand! I have known them since childhood but you...uh," he sounded confused just like I always feel when it's about him.

"It's fine! You are right. I've known her for a few weeks only, you can tell me about them whatever you know," I cooperated with him.

"I can't tell you everything on the phone, we are meeting tomorrow, right? We'll discuss everything briefly."

I literally forgot about our project, "oh, yes! We'll surely hang out tomorrow. But where? We haven't decided yet where and when? Hmm? Where are we gonna meet?"

"Our project is about nature. So, what's about Augustus Hawkins Park? It's my favourite, and according to me, it's the best park in Los Angeles," he sounded enthusiastic.

I wanted to visit that park for a long time but I couldn't because I was swamped with work that I couldn't.

"Yes, sure! That's my favourite, too. I would love to visit that park, the environment of that park gives me such chilling vibes," I also couldn't hide my excitement.

"Okay, then! Augustus Hawkins Park, done! Time and place?"

"Are you dumb or what? We just decided the place a few seconds ago, for the time, what about eight in the morning?"

"I'm the topper of my class, and you'll see my intelligence when we'll work on the project," he said in a confident tone, "I was asking about where should I pick you up? We are going to the same place together but we live in different places, right? So, we need to meet before going to the Park, right?"

This is what I wanted to call him but at the same time, I didn't want to have more quarrels with him. So, I just neglected, "you don't need to pick me up. I can come to your place if you don't mind."

If he would come to pick me up, he would see that I live in that mansion, and I belonged to a podded family.

He didn't hesitate, "sure! Why will I mind? You can come whenever you want, we are friends, right?"

I could imagine his handsome face, the perfect arched eyebrows moving upwards while questioning, and his confused ocean blue eyes. I wish I could see him right now.

"Hey, are you there?"

I came back into my senses, "yes, yes! We are friends," so, here our friendship starts after so many melodramas.

"Thanks! See you soon, then! Bye!" He seemed pleasant.

"Yeah, sure! Bye!" And he hung up the call.

I was beaming like a maniac and thinking about him.

Fuck! How could I forget Fee?

I rushed to her, "Fee, I am sorry, he asked about you, and then, we discussed some things about tomorrow's hang out."

She was an expert in hiding her pain, "wow! Your first call from him. I'm glad you guys are giving each other a chance," she grinned.

"Forget about us, we are just friends, and just for your information, we are going to Augustus Hawkins Park, tomorrow. He suggested picking me up from my home but I refused, so I'll go to his place tomorrow at 8 in the morning. Now, when you know everything that we talked about, can we move to the topic we were talking about before?" I spat up all the things that Jason and I communicated.

"Okay, okay, slow down, girl!" She giggled. "So, you guys are friends, hmm?" She couldn't miss a single chance to tease me.

"Yes, he said that I could come to his home whenever I wanted, after all, we are friends. So, I just said yes, we are." I rolled my eyes.

Her jaw dropped, and her eyes fell open widely, "wow! You guys are moving a step ahead," she winked, "it calls a celebration," She started singing while fluttering her eyes.

"Okay, okay! Let's plan something to do for tonight since we have got freedom for just two days," I shrugged.

"Let's go shopping! We'll go to the late-night movie, sounds amazing, right?" She pouted.

I don't like shopping at all, it always makes me confused and embarrassed because I don't even know the particular name of the clothes or brands.

And I have always shopped from local stores, "why shopping? I don't know anything about fashion, and I wear t-shirts or shirts only. My wardrobe has enough clothes for the next six months," I stated the facts.

"I know that very well but you should try some new stuff, let's just go! I'll help you to find some perfect outfits for your future dates. Are you supposed to wear the shirt on your date?" She frowned.

"I don't wanna argue with you, so let's go, madam!" I bowed my head and she started chuckling.

I tried to do some drama, "God, save me from this woman! She is gonna change my attire. I love my t-shirts and shirts. I know that I'm a tomboy, why don't people accept me however I'm?" I made a gloomy face.

Fee laughed so loud that I was wondering if she was that cute and fragile girl or a monster?

"We love you just the way you are, it's just that you should try some new stuff, and trust me, you look elegant and hot in every dress but just try some girly stuff, too. There is no harm in trying, right?" She explained her reason.

"Okay! As you say…!"
