Emotional fool

Liliana's pov :

He seemed like a brainless person to me but he was brilliant. His ideas were so amazing that I agreed with all his suggestions about the project.

"What do you think, we should take a few pictures of our surroundings to add to our project or just write the articles?" He looked at me while noting down something in his notebook.

It wasn't his alone's project, he was the only one bringing the ideas. I also should start thinking about the project, I had to suggest at least one idea but my mind had none.

My brain isn't working accurately because I'm distracted, whenever I look at him, his deep ocean eyes hypnotise me. I stare at his rosy lips like it's strawberries and I want to eat them.

Fiona! Oh, Jesus! Why did I follow whatever she said? Last time, I watched a romance movie and now, the urge to kiss his lips is protruding in my head.

Fuck!

I need to call this off. I can't handle this anymore, I should consider being honest with him. I just need a good talk with Fee. Where is Fee?

"Hey!" He waved in front of my face and I cleared my throat and nodded.

"Um, yes! Of course, you are right!"

"Did you even give some attention to my ideas or you were thinking about Fiona and George?" He started investigating and I bit my lip in nervousness.

"It has been a long time, they haven't come yet so I was a bit worried, should I call Fee?"

Wasn't it a foolish question? Why did I ask him? I'm gonna go crazy soon with these feelings. I just needed to tell him, not to ask him! He wasn't my teacher.

"Yes, you should. I also need to know if George has apologized or not," he jogged both hands in his pockets.

I took my phone out of my bag and heard Fee's voice before even dialling her number, "Lia, how's your assignment going?" She was sounding so happy and I could see a tease in her eyes.

I turned to face her, "girl, you finally arrived," I released the air through my mouth and ignored her wink. Just wished that Jay didn't notice that.

"Why are you sounding like you are getting bored with me? Is that so?" He raised his eyebrows.

"No, it's not like that. Have you forgotten about Fiona and George? I need to know about Fee's feelings and I'm not bored with you but assignment. I need to focus on the assignment but I just can't focus when my mind has a lot of stuff to think and discuss," I explained in my best way, he was also a distraction for me. But I couldn't tell him the truth.

Fee shouted in joy, "are you done with your assignment or do you need some alone time to work?" She again winked at me, I can't believe this girl is asking me this in front of Jason.

Like seriously? Alone time? Jason's friends were also staring at me. It's embarrassing, God!

"Excuse us, please!" I gave a polite smile to Jason and caught her hand and took her a little farther from the boys.

"Fee, are you nuts or what? What were you blabbering there, huh? What alone time? His friends were gawking at me like I was an alien." Shaking my head to release the tension, I exhaled and started taking deep breaths.

She pouted, "it's fine! We need to give him some signals so that he also can learn about your feelings. Ah, you don't know how it works so you better just watch and learn" she waved me off and crossed her hands.

"I'm already so confused about my feelings, I don't know what to do with them? Whenever I look at him, I just gaze at him shamelessly. I'm 100% attracted to him. I'm unable to concentrate on any other thing when he is vis-a-vis me." Spitting all the truth to her, I could feel a little better.

Her jaw dropped to the ground, "Lia! You are falling for him…" she hugged me as if I achieved my dreams and she was congratulating me.

"Whatever! I don't wanna talk about him now." I quickly mumbled because I needed to know her feelings and here, I was stuck at mine.

"Why? What happened suddenly?" She narrowed her eyes and put her hands on her waist.

I can't lie to her anymore, so I just have to find it as soon as possible, "forget it! I'll go crazy if we continue talking about him," I looked at the boys, who were also busy chitchatting.

"Fee, why do I feel like you are hiding something from me? When I was confused with my feelings for Jason, I honestly shared with you whatever I felt, what's about George? Do you have a crush on him? You should consider sharing with me about your feelings, we are friends, no one is gonna judge you, that's what friends are for, right?" I shrugged and asked her straight. I couldn't beat around the bush.

She quickly turned her face to the opposite side of me before I could notice anything, now I'm sure something is fishy but I won't force her to tell me until she wants to do so. I should respect her privacy, there must be a reason if she didn't want to share it with me.

"Lia, I have always liked him since the day he saved me from some jerks. I don't know why but I just can't fight with someone when they are bullying me, and people enjoy bullying me. I get nervous, I can't be strong enough to fight back like you," her voice was shaking so I went closer to her and caressed her back.

She faced me, and I could see the tears rolling down her cheeks, "don't cry, Fee! You are too good for this world. You are such a kind, shy, and good-natured person, you don't need to cry," I wiped her tears with my hands and laid my hands on her cheeks.

"No, Lia! I should be strong and learn to fight back against bullies," she shouted while weeping, "but I can't, I can't," she almost broke down and sat on the ground.

"I hate crying but I'm an emotional fool, I cry over so little things which don't even bother others but influence me too much," this time, she wiped her tears by herself.

Maybe she was trying to be strong, and she didn't like to be emotional but she was, I also sat on the ground with her, "I'm sorry, I wasn't there with you that time but I promise you that next time, you won't be alone there, I'll be there with you whenever you need me, I've got your back, Fee."

"I'm so lucky to have you but I want to be self-dependent yet I just can't do it and it makes me feel like I'm the dumbest person on this planet. I'm sorry I didn't tell you before about George but I was confused. Let me tell you everything! I'll also be honest with my dear friend," she pouted and slowly her lips stretched in a small smile.

"Okay! I'm all ears!" I grinned and put both index fingers on the back of my ears to force them to lean forward to make me look like an elephant.

Fee giggled, "you are looking like a dog with these big ears, just pout and you'll look like a cute puppy."

I pouted, and she chuckled hard, grabbing her stomach. Fee is a cute and uncoined baby who forgets everything so easily and starts laughing innocently. I released my fingers, "okay! Now, are you telling me or not?"

"Of course! I can't live with this weight on my chest. You just listen to me, okay? Don't interrupt me until I finish, otherwise, I'll get nervous!" She pointed her index finger while shaking her head.

I nodded and she started, "it was like a fairytale, I was being bullied by some punks. One of them was just going to touch my shoulder and George appeared out of the blue, he punched that goon in the face. I was smiling at him but he was busy beating those assholes so he didn't notice, he was my saviour, and those punks were villains of our story. He rammed all of them and protected me like a princess." She blushed while telling her tale.

"This is what happens in romance novels, movies, and everywhere. When a guy saves a girl from a difficult situation, the girl absolutely falls for that guy and so do I." Her eyes had a glint that was perfectly showing her happiness off.

Fiona took a pause and blushed. She added, "I started liking him, he started helping me with delivering the notes of Jason to my home whenever I missed my class due to my mom's work. My mom also likes him, she always asks me to date him," she rolled her eyes and pressed her lips, "but one day, I was passing by and saw him making out with a girl."
