Stuck on the kiss

Liliana's pov :

"Girls, I may look like a funny and cool guy but I'm the smartest guy you would ever come across." Alex rubbed his hair, shooting a smirk our way. "I know what you girls are planning to do but let me clear one thing that I'm not doing any relationship now. I want to live a peaceful life with no shit of girl."

Fiona was terrible at holding something in her tummy. The way she was repeatedly faint praising Hannah, it was obvious that he would get a hint.

We thought that all of his friends were dating so he would also get the feeling of dating someone but the scene was different there. Perhaps one bad experience was enough for him to never fall for anyone.

"Look, Alex! At some point, you'll get rid of that pain but for that, you have to move on. Who knows she might help you forget that bitch," Barbie shrugged off.

"I've already moved on from her and if you won't tell that tiny girl then I have to tell her that I'm not interested in her so she won't have any hopes from me," he disclosed roughly.

Hannah was a cute, short, and attractive girl. Any guy would love to be her date but since Alex had no interest left in dating, we couldn't force him. Sometimes you just have to give up and wait patiently because time heals everything.

"Alright! You don't have to act all rude, I'll do that for you."

"Lia! My girl, you are the only one who supports me. I love you so much!"

He took me in a bone-crushing hug and unfortunately, Jay was coming our way so I could see his narrowed eyes. For a long time, I hadn't seen his possessive side so luckily, I would get that chance tonight. His clenched jaw made me roll my eyes.

"You were supposed to be hugging somebody else. Seems like girls failed in their plan," he scoffed and I giggled.

"It wasn't a joke, Lia. He is mocking us and you are at his side?" Barbie shook her head in disbelief.

I was laughing because I was happy seeing a change in him. Instead of being jealous and acting all shit, he was making fun of us. That was fine with me! I loved my mature boyfriend rather than my impulsive boyfriend. I didn't know why girls feel happy when their boyfriends feel envious. It seemed good and cute in the starting phase but when the actions get repeated, it becomes boring and toxic.

"You were also involved in this? I can't believe this. You fucker!" Alex cursed, scrunching his face.

Jay shrugged and crossed his arms. "I wasn't but my dear sister wanted me to get involved in that childish plan. I told you, it won't work. I know my friend better than you, girls, so you better give up."

"Anyways, Hannah and Fiona are coming out of the washroom so I don't want to feel that girl bad, okay Alex?" Barbie announced as she saw them walking towards us.

"Why are you asking me? I don't even know her and I'm not gonna hit on her, that's it!" Alex rolled his eyes and threw his hand over Jay's shoulder. "Let's leave these stupid creatures alone here!" Before Hannah could reach us, Alex ran off.

"I didn't tell Hannah about Alex, I just invited her to hang out with us. I thought that they would be the only single people in the group so eventually, they'll talk to each other and you know," Barbie shrugged and suppressed her lips.

Before I could say something, I saw Fiona and Hannah standing beside Barbie so I embraced silence. But Fiona needed to know what Alex said, otherwise, she would keep playing the role of a matchmaker.

"Hannah, I was wondering-"

"Fee, George came here to see you. He was asking about you, I guess he was worried about something. You should talk to him, he is over there," I cut her off and pointed towards the couch where he was peacefully sipping his drink. "Let me give you company!"

We both headed over to the boys, Barbie and Hannah were enjoying their beer. Midway, I explained to her why she should shut her mouth. Even though she wasn't in the mood of giving up, she rolled her eyes and agreed with Alex's decision.

"Lia, my saviour! Where were you?" Alex slurred and stood up from his seat to hug me.

Seeing that sheepish smile on his face, I got it that he was drunk. Slowly, I took his hands off of me and looked at Jay who was rolling his eyes instead of being mad at Alex. Fuck! I loved that change in him. I wanted to kiss him right that moment, although I controlled the urge to do so as I didn't want everyone's attention and that arrogant boyfriend of mine hadn't kissed me in a long time, during the vacation.

"Good luck, Lia!" Theo teased me and I frowned in response.

A person becomes fucking honest when he is drunk and I just needed to grab that chance to know the truth behind his chill-cool-dude attitude.

"You should help him, he will never tell us what he can tell you. You're getting it, right?" George whispered in my ears as he tried to take the weight of Alex on his side.

I threw a glance at Jay, he closed his eyes and his lips twitched into a reassurance smile. "Okay! I'm ready for this adventure." I giggled and everyone else joined me in.

George made Alex sit on the couch and I placed my ass beside him. "So Alex, do you still love Bella?" I started the mission with maybe the wrong question.

"I don't believe in love anymore, she was a mistake. I should hate her but I can't, and I don't know why?!" He leaned forward to stare into my eyes. The big round dark circles under his eyes were stating that he was unable to sleep. After his breakup, we went to Singapore then we had exams so he was surrounded by us.

But during the vacation, he was alone so he must be missing that bitch due to loneliness. "My parents made me believe that failure in a relationship can destroy you. My dad always searches for the opportunity to humiliate my mom, and I can't even see my mom because if I see her, he'll make my mom suffer in her business. It's the worst to have a blackmailing dad, he can do anything to keep me by his side."

Whenever he got drunk, he kept mumbling lame jokes and stupid things like dancing without music and sometimes, singing the songs himself. But this time, he was uttering the truth, those things that he would never share with anyone while he was sober. And once Alex started, there was no switch to shut him off.

"The last time I ran into her while shopping for groceries, my dad stopped the investors from investing in her company." He sighed and turned his watery eyes towards the table.

His dad was the worst living creature on the earth, perhaps I was being rude but he didn't deserve to be alive.

"I hate him but I have to live with him. Sometimes I feel pity for myself that I couldn't have my family at least. I have an awful family that can't be counted as a family at all." He whispered and closed his eyes while resting his head back on the couch.

He fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes and I could see everyone else's gloomy faces. We were helpless, we couldn't help Alex to forget Bella but we couldn't do something about his dad either.

"Guys, don't be sad! We need to be strong so he can have our backs, we'll find a way to control his dad. For now, let's focus on helping him to forget Bella!" Barbie uttered from behind me, I didn't even realise when she came here and started listening to him. "I guess he needs peace for some time, not love."

"You were the one who was trying to set up a girl for him," Jay barked at his sister and smirked.

"Fine! My bad! I already sent her back as soon as I realized what he needed," she waved him off.

He rolled his eyes and turned his face to Theo. "Let's leave, then! Will you drop Alex at his home?"

Theo nodded and put Alex's arm on his shoulder. "Fuck! This asshole is so heavy."

Everyone started chuckling at his cursing, and we finally decided to go back to our homes after partying crazily. I also stood up from my seat to head out but Jay clasped my wrist and I raised my eyebrows at him in response.

"Um I don't know how to ask but I sincerely want this," he nervously pronounced while hiding his gaze.

"What?"

"I want to take you on a proper date, a real date! Will you please go on a date with me?"

A sweet blush decorated my face and I couldn't resist but pressed my lips against his in answer. He kissed me back slowly, tasting the alcohol in my mouth. Before he could deepen the kiss, I stopped him and reminded him that we were in a bar, giving a free show to the people.

We were stuck on the kiss, sex is so far, we hadn't made out yet after the trip. And I badly missed his touch, maybe I didn't look attractive in my tomboyish clothes so he didn't feel like touching me.

Whatever! I won't wear those sexy dresses just to tempt him. That's it! If he wanted me, he had to accept me however I'm!

"I'll pick you up in the morning so be ready for the date. And let me tell you, it'll be a different date unlike our previous dates," he pouted and held my hand in his.

We were walking to the parking lot, after a night out, all I needed was a good and long sleep. "It's already 2 am and I've drunk the alcohol so I won't be able to wake up in the morning unless you call 1 pm morning, too." I shrugged and he chuckled.

"I know that and I tasted it," he deliberately rubbed his lips while whispering in my ear. I closed my eyes as the sensation was too overwhelming. When I raised my arms to lace it around his neck, he left my hand and opened the door of his car and winked at me.

Fuck! Such a fucking tease!

Well, I knew what he meant from the proper date so I'll make sure to arrange a payback time tomorrow.
