A young girl could be seen standing in front of the mirror wall, staring blankly.

To break it down, for the past three years, I would just see clear and accurate outlines, making it seem like someone drew a person on a black board, and just intentionally not giving any other details, like what kind of facial expression the person in the drawing was having.

Well… ‘See’ is a bit ironic given my blindness when technically it's like the information is moving inside of my brain, I know it's confusing but.
It's due to the special ability I'm born with, and honestly when I first got my ability I didn't really know how to use it, even now.
Even the Hunter Bureau Association was showing great interest in a Unique ability they haven't seen before…

When I was reborn in this world.
Two years ago, when I was just a one year old baby.
I was so devastated that I was born partially blind that I really didn't want to believe it. I thought because I was just a one year old baby there was still a way to fix the problem in my cornea…
I really thought it could be fixed at the time, but as it turns out, there is no cure.
Because of that, I was showing strange behavior beyond what a normal baby would do.
My parents, obviously worried, sought all kinds of help from doctors and psychiatrists determined to get some results, and after a few days turned into months, my parents thought the therapy was showing good results, but in actuality. I just figured that acting like any normal toddler would be the best.
I didn't notice my parents were concerned at first because the reality of being partially blind was really a nightmare I wanted to wake up from, this would later change when I would get my ability.
And then I heard some really concerning things from the psychiatrists who said if my behavior didn't show any good signs of being normal, I would be diagnosed with something outrageous.
Ugh, my head hurts...
I really almost missed my shot at living a normal life.
Because as if timing it.
My ability finally awakened.
It happened while I was watching TV in the living room, determined to at least recognize the vague blurry patterns, on the screen.
since I didn't really want to live completely blind.
I decided to at least practice and learn to distinguish things based on their blurry patterns.
Even though I knew, It was impossible.
Then suddenly a tiny sound could be heard, and I saw a bright blurry box-like shape floating in the air.
I immediately knew. It was the status window.
At first I didn't believe that there were such things as status windows or powers in this world, but as I was listening to various channels on the TV about people awakening with special powers, I was holding on to what little hope I have left.
Hoping to get a useful ability.
I immediately told my mom of the blurry status window that I'm seeing.
And my mom immediately called my dad about the situation.
Because to open your status window, depending on the situation where you wanna view it.
like for example, it would pop up right in front of you. After saying ‘Status window’.
Or it could immediately appear in your consciousness too when you want it.
I'm quite fortunate in that matter, since I'm partially blind.
In this world, checking someone's status window would require the Hunter Bureau Association's assistance, because only YOU the user can view your status window, and not anyone else normally, but with the Hunter Bureau Association's special machines, it was possible.
You're probably thinking, “then why need the Hunter Bureau Association’s help when you could just tell your parents what the status window in your mind said.”
…well it's not that simple you see, I decided not to voice out to my parents that I could read what's in the status window, since that would be just asking to be interrogated.
Since, in which part of the world, you could see a one year old toddler already knows how to read???
And plus I'm partially blind.
I can't even use the “I just like reading books” as an excuse by those typical regressor novel protagonists.
I would be just making a fool out of myself.
So after almost immediately my mom and I met up with my dad in his work place.
As it turns out.
My father in this world, works for the Japanese branch of the Hunter Bureau Association. Usually when you wanna book a status window check-up you go to the Hunter Bureau Association, to use a special machine to view status windows, typically used for giving ability ranking evaluation, and often used for toddlers
In this world typically at the age of one to two years old, you would get the chance to awaken your ability, most people often get one ability and work their way to get crystal skills? we'll get to that later.
In some rare cases like REALLY rare, there are some people born with multiple abilities.
The abilities you're born with, could be basically described as your starter kit.
People normally can only hold seven abilities max.
Since getting new abilities isn't as easy as you think.
And no matter how you would like to increase your ability, it's pointless.
It's how many your abilities are and how good it its, that determines your rank.
E-rank mostly consists of people with one ability, with somewhat okay effects.
And F-rank is literally people with abilities not that good.
So… having been born with two or three abilities could consider your life as a hunter as good as it comes.
depending on what kind of ability it would be that it is.
Like the protagonist, being born in the world having 5 OP abilities and exceeding the seven ability count. By seemingly ‘Accidentally’ finding it.
but we'll talk about that some other time.
You probably wanna know, what's crystal skills? And what's the difference between abilities you're born with.
Crystal skills and abilities you're born with… Well crystal skills often come in as little shapes that look like crystal balls you could easily swallow.
By eating it you could get the power within it.
it's how you obtain new abilities.
By clearing a gate portal you could get a crystal skill.
Because it looks like a little crystal ball, when you try to look at it with your naked eye you could see faint mana swirling inside it, hunters typically get it appraised to see if the skill inside is useful.
Hence for its name crystal skills.
Crystal skills have all sorts of abilities.
If you're lucky.
Common/Uncommon crystal skills have a 50-40% chance of dropping after defeating the boss in the portal.
And obviously the usually good crystal skills with good abilities wouldn't drop that easily, with the estimated percentage of 15-10%.
These are the crystal skills you would see selling at the hunter marketplace.
And S-class crystal skills with abilities that's literally so overpowered could be obtained after clearing a S-class gate portal, yet even if you cleared it, you don't even know if you'll get it.
Since it has an estimated drop rate of 00.1%, making it insanely hard for hunters to get those abilities.
Except for the main protagonist that is.
Like any typical hunter gate genre, the main protagonist could be seen acquiring S-class abilities with all sorts of tricks and smart ideas, leading the protagonist to go to some shady place or helping an unnoticed genius background character, etc etc.
So that's basically what crystal skill is like.
And abilities that you're born with are basically random innate powers, but it differs from person to person, to skill-to-skill.
The Hunter Bureau Association seemingly every year is fully booked with parents trying to see if their children has a good ability since, having a good ability also means getting into a good guild and making a lot of money.
Tsk tsk, but I wouldn't blame them. Life is hard for the poor, just like in my past life, poverty was relentless.
But seemingly because of that, countries with records of low birthrates, could be seen soaring up,
Since the hunter profession was literally a place you could earn easy money.
Even if you're just E-rank you could just livestream inside a portal gate and get loads of views, and live off comfortably.
Earth's now huge population mixed with the huge amount of people that unfortunately didn't awaken.
Was eager to be special too, even if it means just working behind a desk in a famous guild was good enough.
The world was showing a really great interest in anything gate portal related activities.
And my family, having a ticket entry to go in and out of the Japanese branch of the Hunter Bureau Association’s headquarters, naturally took me there.
And with my father's work benefits, we could just walk in and get my checkup done.

With a partially blind toddler in the house, any parent would baby proof every corner.

As I was ranting about my inner problems.
I could hear my mom calling me all the way to the dining room.

*A tiny and smooth voice could be heard from the child, people often find the sound of a toddler to be cute normally, but our haru's voice is simply way too adorable, to be compared to a normal toddler.*
As the sweet smell of syrup mixed with the smell of butter was floating around the house, I made my way to the dining table, and pulled back the chair.
As i climbed the seemingly tall chair, I finally sat right in front of my food.
“My! our little Haru is just way too adorable and so smart!”
“mm?”
I tilted my head, caught off guard by my mother's sudden praise.
*crash—*
“Mama?! Are you owkay?!”
My mom suddenly dropping the plastic plate that she was holding and could be seen gripping her chest while covering her mouth.
“Ugh—yes, mama was a bit surprised, sweetie.”
“Rweally!?... What hwappened??”
“It's because our little haru's charm attack was just too adorable!!”
Seriously?? I thought you had a heart attack!!
I don't wanna sound mean, but my mom in this world is a bit… Strange…

I don't particularly hate saying the word mama but…
It's way too childish for me.
But unfortunately, I can't really refuse my mom at this matter.

If I had suddenly called my Korean mother, ‘Mama’ she'd probably look at me like I ate something funny, and hope she doesn't smacks me in the back of my head.
And you guessed it, I was Korean in my past life.
I thought I was reincarnated in a normal modern world, but no.
It was those typical hunter novels you'd see everywhere on the internet, and as if that wasn't enough.
IT WAS THE NOVEL MADE BY THAT INFAMOUS JAPANESE AUTHOR.
The novel, that author made was outrageous and mediocre at best.
But it was good enough to pass time though.
When you first see the novel and check the title, you might get a headache because of how long the title is.
I know some Japanese authors do it as a joke, but this particular author literally summarized the whole plot in the title.
And the tragic part is, all of his novels could be seen to be entirely like that.
But this is good news.
Since the protagonist is naturally overpowered.
Even if something goes wrong or something changes later on.
the protagonist won't have a single problem at the end of the final battle.
Which is good!
Since I'm planning on stealing one of the protagonist's unnecessary plot power ups, I was already preparing in advance.
The lazy author would give the protagonist random power up for the sake of aesthetics, just to make the protagonist stand-out more, and later forget the ability afterwards like it didn't existed.
I was literally so disappointed.
Since the power in question was the ability to summon an Ancient Cosmic Elder Dragon!!!—as a contracted familiar.
When I honestly first saw how the dragon moved and the illustration, the dragon loving fan boy inside of me was screaming.
I was so hooked and amazed at how cool it would enter the battlefield.
It would start ripping the space and matter in the air like a gate portal was being forcefully opened, and its massive body could be seen going out of it.
BUT THE AUTHOR ONLY MADE IT APPEAR FOR 2 CHAPTERS, FORGETTING ABOUT IT!!
I was imagining all sorts of situations and scenarios in my head. If I had somehow gotten that dragon!!
And as if God was watching over me.
I could finally fulfill the delusions I had in my head for so long in my real life!
But to somehow get the requirements for the dragon, I would have to somehow come into contact with the two most powerful families in the almost whole of japan.
The Ryuuzouji clan, and the Tsukiyama clan.
In all honesty, I don't wanna get involved with those two powerful families.
But for the sake of my space tearing dragon, I would need to lock in.
I could almost imagine it, entering the battlefield when I would call out its name and erasing my enemies at the face of the earth, Hehehehe.
*(giggles)*
“My, What has our little Haru gotten so happy about?”

My mother, seeing me happy, also let out a small laugh.
“It was nothing mama~”
