SARAH’S POINT OF VIEW

I turned my phone on and saw that Nancy was calling me. I picked up and asked her about Andrew and she said, “I guess it will be your last time to see Andrew so come to the place that I will message you.” As soon as she said that, I was scared because she said like that and I called Louis to tell him and he said that he will pick me up. I went downstairs and waited for him. He reached faster and we went together.

I could not handle anymore, so instead of going to work I went to Nancy’s office. I met her and she asked me why I was looking so devastated. I told her about everything and I asked her what I should do. She asked me, “Do you want to go abroad in ABC country? Actually I was going to go there for business but you can go and do it and also take a break and stay there until you feel better to return.” I immediately said, “Yes, okay. Can you send me right now?” She said that I will be going early tomorrow and I asked her not to say anything to anyone. I called the prosecution office and I gave my unfinished works to my junior and asked for a break.

The next morning, my luggage were all arranged by her and she gave me a contract and said, “You will be meeting a person who wants to open their business here and only thing you need to do is get their sign on the contract. Everything is already decided but no one will be there to take you. I have already bought an apartment there, you can live there.” We headed towards the airport. I was thinking about Sarah the whole time. I at least wanted to meet her and tell her goodbye but I could not face her. As I reached the airport, I waited in the waiting area with Nancy.

I was just telling Louis to increase the speed. As we reached the airport, I ran inside and I saw him sitting in the waiting area. I did not know what to do and when he saw at my direction I tried to hide. I was hiding and Louis came. He said, “Go and meet him. Don’t tell him to stay but tell him to return back soon.” I nodded and I saw that he was standing with his back and I called his name, “Andrew…” He turned back and just stood there stunned and I ran towards him. I had tears in my eyes but I controlled it and I scolded him, “Do you know how worried I was because you did not return yesterday? Could you not tell me that you were leaving?”

He said, “I am sorry Sarah, I made you worry.” I could not control any more so my tears fell down and I sobbed and spoke, “I am sorry Andrew, I… I did not know how you felt. I… I always… gave you pain when you were always there for me.” He wiped my tears and said, “You never gave me pain. I don’t know who told you about it. But it is true that I have feelings for you, I was afraid that I will even lose our friendship if I confessed. I guess I cannot control my feelings anymore so I am leaving now.”

I wiped my tears and said, “We will still be best friends. I don’t want to lose you because you are also an important person in my life. Although I never felt like you felt, you are my best friend. I will not stop you from going. Please go and return as my best friend. I will be waiting for your return.” Tears fell again from my eyes.

I wiped my tears and smiled and said, “I will be waiting for you. I am sorry for everything and thank you for always being there with me. I…” I hugged him and said, “Please stay healthy and safe wherever you are going. Don’t get hurt.” He hugged me back and said, “I hope you be happy with Louis forever.” We heard the announcement of his departure. Nancy also hugged him and said, “Call me after you reach there. Don’t get into trouble.” Louis also shook his hand with Andrew and Andrew said, “Take care of her. Don’t make her cry, if she cries because of you, then I will return back to kill you.”

Louis smiled and said, “Don’t worry and I hope you return soon. But only return when you get rid of those feelings for her. I hope you also get someone who will love you.” They did a shoulder hug and Andrew came back to me and I wiped my tears immediately and said, “Bye, Andrew. Take care of yourself. I will not call you until you call me. I will wait for you.” I hugged him tightly and then he went. After he went, I broke into tears and Louis supported me and I murmured, “I am sorry Andrew. I hope you get someone better than me.” Nancy also consoled me by saying, “Don’t worry about him. He is strong.” We also went back as the plane flew.

I don’t know how I felt although I was broken inside. I guess I was thankful that even after Sarah knew how I felt she did not break our friendship. When I was up high in the sky I covered my eyes and let my tears out. After a long flight, I reached the ABC country. I took a long breath and told myself, “Sarah, thank you for telling me that you will wait for me. I will return to you as your best friend, I promise.” I called Nancy and told her not to worry about me and I had already reached. I took a cab and told the driver to go to the place where Nancy had told. So, he drove and after a few minutes I realized that he was taking me somewhere really different. The roads looked shabby so I asked him if he was going right and he said he was. But I knew that Nancy will never let me go through these places. Therefore, I said him to stop the car. But he did not.
