"HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF"
One Month Later…
“WHY did I notice that you weren't watching Andrew's new TV series? The story is good so you should watch it,” said Mama Cecille one Sunday morning and they were eating breakfast.
Lana shrugged her shoulders then started eating.
She also could not understand herself either. The truth is that her feelings for the young man have not changed except that it has intensified. And that started when something happened to them. When Andrew turned all her fantasies about him into reality.
But she also has to admit that she gets hurt whenever she sees Andrew, his perfectly handsome face even just on TV.
Lana secretly laughed to herself for that.
She is a smart woman but when it comes to love, like everyone else, she is a great fool.
And that is something that she couldn't explain, of how and why she feels like that? When she knew for a fact that what happened between them that night is just a simple one-night stand. Something that is surely very common with Andrew and his way of lifestyle as a famous celebrity. And that is the fact that she knew she has to bear in her mind.
Lana was about to start eating when suddenly she felt her stomach seemed to turn upside down after tasting the corned beef that Mama Cecille cooked.
"W-Why does corned beef taste so bad, M-Mama?" she said covering her own mouth and without being able to stop she ran to the bathroom, and there she started vomiting.
"What happened? What is wrong with you?" when she got back that was what her aunt asked her.
She just shook her head then sat on the chair she left vacant. After a while, she was stunned after remembering something.
“Lana, I'm talking to you. What is happening to you? Why are you suddenly stunned? Is there a problem?" that was the consecutive question by Mama Cecille in a worried tone.
It was then when the young lady bit her lip and shook her head quickly. "N-Nothing to worry, maybe my stomach is not in a good shape, I've been drinking a lot of coffee lately because of the amount of work in the office," she thought as an excuse then stand up.
"Where are you going? You haven't finished breakfast yet? ”
"I just want to buy something," she replied and then continued to leave the house.

“LANA! Where are you going?" that was Marius inside his car and accompanying her walking.
"At the drugstore," Lana's short reply and then smiled at her best friend.
"Hop in, I'll give you a ride so you don't get tired of walking," Marius offered in his usual friendly tone.
"Oh there is no need for that, thanks anyway," Lana replied at the young man with a smile.
Marius clicks his tongue. "Come on, it's only a matter of time if I'll drive you there," he insisted so in the end Lana finally agreed to what her best friend wanted to happen.
"Thank you for the cake by the way," she said when she was already inside Marius' car.
The man laughed softly. “It's been over a month, have you forgotten already? And one more thing, didn't you thank me already through a text message?” Marius asked her.
That was when Lana rolled her eyes. “What is wrong with that when it's just now that we've met after a long time. Then, of course, personal gratitude is different,” she replied.
Her best friend didn't answer what she said and instead, he just let out a weak laugh.
Marius has been her classmate since high school apart from the fact that they only live in one village.
That's why they became close to each other. But because Lana was naturally aloof with men back then, she had more female friends that she used to go to school and be with more often when she was still studying.
"Where is your project now and it looks like you're not here in our place more often?" she asked.
Marius shrugged his shoulders before he opened his mouth to speak. “In Baguio, a five-star hotel. I come home here at Quezon City once a week.”
Lana just nodded.
Marius is an engineer, handsome, smart, and kind. Most of all, she knew him so much because they almost grew up together. She knew that many women in their village liked the young man. Nor was she numb so as not to feel that she was special to him.
"Who's your boyfriend now, Lana?"
That question was not new to Lana so she just smiled. "It was as if you didn't know that I don't have a boyfriend," she replied chuckling.
"So, what if I tell you that I want to get our friendship to the next level?" Marius asked smiling.
A faint laugh ran down Lana's throat. "There you are again," she laughed again.
“I really want you, for a long time. Since we’re in high school, you already know about my feelings for you, don’t you? ” Marius sounded more like joking but she knew that those words are true from inside him because she could tell by the way he stares at her.
“And you have always known that I see you as a best friend. As my brother, so please stop asking me about this anymore,” she said with a laugh.
That's really how they've always talked. They are used to each other's behavior so they get along so well.
"What are you going to buy at the drugstore?" Lana knew Marius was changing the subject.
Lana just winks at him and then pushed the car door open.
“Be careful driving. I'll tell you one of these days when we have a long time."
The young man just smiled at her. “Hey wait, what happened to your Facebook? Are you hiding something or trying to hide from someone?”
At that question Lana was stunned. That's why she was forced to go back inside her friend's car.
"Why do you have so many questions?" she asked Marius.
"Is it bad? Aren't we friends? Actually, I know you so well that's why I'm asking,” Marius answered her.
She changed her name on her Facebook account and that is what Marius was referring to.
She used to use only her first name and surname as a username.
But a day after what happened to her and Andrew, she decided to change the name she uses on all her social media accounts.
Now it was Lana Amara that she used. Her first and second names, minus the surname Montes.
"You're right, I'm hiding from someone," she admitted.
Marius's thick eyebrows met. "What?"
She nodded. "I will explain everything to you soon. All right?” she replied saying goodbye and finally got out of the car.

WITH shaking hands as Lana lowered the pregnancy test she was holding into the sink inside their bathroom.
She bought three pregnancy kits and tried all of them. All in all, they all came out with just one result.
Positive.
She is pregnant, she is going to be a mother and that child is the fruit of the night she and Andrew shared.
“I-I'm p-pregnant? W-What should I do?” she whispered then burst into tears afterward.
