"DESPERATE WOMEN"
"STOP calling me! I can't give you any information about Andrew!" Patricia's irritable growl at Rhyza who was last in a relationship with Andrew before the real villains returned to her life. None other than the young man's daughter and its mother Lana.
"Aren't you, his manager? Why can't you find a way for me to talk to him?" Rhyza's persistence in her tone is already sly.
Patricia's eyes rolled in annoyance. She had always really not liked this woman because, well she had to admit that she was actually more beautiful and seductive compared to her. But of all the women in and has been in Andrew's life, this was the only one who dared to command and dictate her.
Patricia smiled bitterly. She was indeed happy when she heard about the separation of Andrew and Rhyza. Who and for what reason or who broke up she no longer knew. What is important to her is that her rival with the young man reduced.
But now, if only she could do something, she would want to put everything back to normal. She has accepted Rhyza because she knows, and she is sure that only sex is between this woman and Andrew.
Unlike that bitch who was after all simply a fan of Andrew.
At that thought, Patricia felt as if her chest was being squeezed. If everything is based on the pain and anger, she feels now, it seems unlikely that she will accept the fact that Andrew will is getting married and not to her but to… That was when she sighed, and just as she said, simply a fan of Andrew.
There are so many beautiful women? But why is it must be that one? What is there here that is not in her or others?
Patricia smiled bitterly. "What do you need from Andrew?"
"And when have you ever had care on what I need from him? Look, I know you've been liking Andrew for a long time. That’s why you don't like me or any woman involved with him!" Rhyza sarcastically said.
"Damn you!" her furious shout at the speaker on the other line.
The woman let out a loud laugh. "I want Andrew to get back from that woman," Rhyza replied.
Patricia's eyes narrowed at what she has heard. "Dream on, and why would Andrew go back to a woman like you who he threw up?" she replied coldly.
"I'm sorry but it's the other way around. I broke up with him," Rhyza replied proudly.
At that moment, Patricia laughed out loud. "You fool! You pushed him closer to Lana and their child!" she said laughing out loud again. "You're just beautiful Rhyza, but you're stupid. Now tell me, how does it feel that just a simple fangirl is what became the replacement for a beauty queen like you? Plus, the fact that Andrew even offered her marriage?" Patricia continued then laughed madly.
"Go to hell!" Rhyza's furious shout then quickly cut the line.
Patricia just kept laughing.
Andrew has to be hers only and she can no longer accept other rivals because of what she sees, her opponent should not be underestimated. Because whether she admits it or not, she knows that Andrew sees Lana differently compared to all the women who have gone through his life.
*****
"I remembered something," Lana said as they headed home.
She abruptly glanced at Andrea who was sound asleep in the backseat then turned her gaze back to the busy young man in front of the steering wheel.
"Yeah?" Andrew glanced at her for a moment then looked back at the road.
"Didn't you have a girlfriend when you approached me in the office to confront about your daughter?" when Lana remembered about their first meeting with Andrew after a long time she couldn't help but ask.
Andrew nodded in succession. "Actually Rhyza, she broke up with me right after I left her unit," the young man laughed softly.
Lana's eyebrows met. "What?"
Andrew nodded. "I saw you at the mall then. You and Andrea, and Marius were with you. I thought he was your husband and Andrea was your baby," the young man began.
Lana immediately felt a longing for that story, so she listened to Andrew. "Really?" she uttered with amusement.
Smiling, Andrew spoke again though his vision was focus on the road. "Rhyza and I were in a restaurant then, we were eating when I saw Andrea with Marius in a donut store. I found her so beautiful. I also noticed the similarities of her hair with yours, but I forced myself to forget about it. I immediately removed that thing from my mind. I'm not familiar with what they say a leap of blood. But it looks like that's what happened to me with Andrea. That is why I decided to follow you. So, I tracked down where you live and where you work. I have to admit that I was lurking in front of your house just to find out where your office is," that was Andrew's long statement.
The young man's story touched Lana's heart deeply. That's why she couldn't stop herself from holding Andrew's hand which was in the car's hand brake.
"Thank you for not giving up on me," when the young man looked back at her for a moment.
Andrew nodded with a beautiful smile still on his lips. "Thanks for the opportunity too, Lana."
Andrew's statement was so meaningful that Lana got the point. And because she was getting emotional and she could feel the warmth in her eyes because of the intense happiness she felt, she decided to just ask the young man again.
"W-What's the reason Rhyza broke up with you?" the truth is she is curious about the matter.
Andrew shrugged. "It's because I left her at the mall, and I didn't stay in her unit that same day. Anyway, let's not talk about her anymore, it looks like she's okay because I never heard anything from her since then," the young man explained to her.
The young lady nodded. "Okay," she said.
"By the way, my contract with the network that holds me is about to expire. You know, I think I might not sign a contract yet since we will be busy with our wedding," the young man said in a tone that seems to be demanding her opinion.
"Are you sure? You know what, you don't have to sacrifice your career just because of marriage ..."
At the last words she said, Andrew quickly stopped her. "Don't underestimate marriage because that's where my real career as a pillar of our family will begin, sweetheart," he corrected her.
Instead of being embarrassed, Lana immediately felt a thrill at what the young man said. "Well, if that is the case, I’m sure Patricia will be angry?"
Andrew shrugged his shoulders. "Didn't I already tell you that I'm thinking of quitting and focusing only on the business and you and our daughter? Maybe she'll understand that. But if not, I'm sorry but my decision is final," the young man said in a tone with finality, so Lana chose to respect that.
