Seconds passed and nothing happened.
All three of us stayed at the same position as ordered and not picked up.
"Jared, don't you think it would help if you let her down?", asked the other twin and rubbed his temple. "
And you think she would then do what we want her to do without any problems?", the other just replied.
"Probably not, but she must know that herself. Of course it wouldn't be good if she got sick at the moment, but what do you want to do? Rip her clothes off and change them yourself? Believe me, it's all just unnecessary drama." "
But you said she should change?"
"Man Jared, she's obviously old enough to decide for herself. So let them down now."
In fact, the other twin let them down with me. Which I immediately use to take at least three steps away from the two. To my surprise, neither of them stopped
me give me some clothes to change into." said one werewolf. I chose to remain passive, however, and best not to do anything that might provoke a reaction from her.
When nothing happens after a moment of silence, the werewolf seems resigned.
"Okay if you don't want to.
Shall we maybe sit down on the sofa? We could talk first. Surely you have many questions. I'm sure you've also noticed something indirectly."
Still silent, I looked from one to the other.
Then the person who was carrying me before probably lost his patience and pulled me up and put me on this sofa. "
Damn! What's the matter It's so bad sitting here. We won't hurt you!"
"Jared, don't you think your statement would be more credible if you didn't just move her against her will?" "
My goodness, I didn't break a damn arm Luke!
"No, I didn't mean to imply that you intend to hurt her, but she's looking at us both right now like a rabbit that got stuck in a fox's den. And right now it would probably be best if we accept your wish for a little distance, don't you think?"
The twin didn't really seem to agree with his brother, but despite everything he took a few steps away from me and sat down into a chair.
The other twin did the same.
"So", the second twin began to speak again: "As you have probably already noticed, I am Luke and this here next to me is my twin brother Jared. We live here together with many other werewolves in what is by far the most important pack in the world.
I work as one of two pack doctors and mainly take care of the medical needs of the pack.
Jared is the beta, that is, the representative of the alpha, our leader. He takes care of almost everything that the alpha and his mate don't have time for. For example, he plans the combat training of our guards and their patrols.
Would you like to introduce yourself to us at this point so that we at least know how to address you. I mean, you certainly have a name."
There was another momnet silence before the werewolf spoke again. "
Okay, that's perfectly fine if you don't want to tell us.
You're afraid of us and surely you think we're monsters. Which is certainly very understandable from your perspective, Jared and I really hope that you will soon realize that your fear is unfounded and that we are not going to kill you or anything. After all, you're our mate, and that's very special for werewolves."
Hopefully they didn't believe themselves.
I honestly don't know what I should find worse. Monsters who were aware that they were monsters or the monsters who also still think they are the good guys here.
But from the looks of it, the two really seemed to belong to the latter. Or to try to convince me.
But with the best will in the world I didn't buy that from them.
,,You certainly have many questions and things going through your head. If you wish, you are welcome to address these matters at any time. We should be able to answer almost every question you have.”
Again I said nothing
.
The other seemed to mind it more and pulled a corner of his mouth down.
After a brief side glance from his twin, however, he quickly corrected it again.
"Okay.", the first one said slowly: "Then maybe I would explain a few standards first."
"You don't really think she'll listen to you. Quite apart from the fact that she will probably be overwhelmed by the amount of information.", the other twin said now. "
Now you're the pessimist here. Maybe she's interested in that after all."
"Probably at most to be able to escape from us better next time."
There was a knock at the door.
"I'll be fine," said the second and walked past me to the door. My eyes darted restlessly from one person to the other
. the other tried to calm me down and made himself a bit ridiculous in my eyes.
The more of these beasts there were, the worse it was.
The twin across from me looked behind me.
"Oh Lily, what are you doing here?"
Confused, I turned my head.
About two meters behind me stood a young blonde woman next to the other twin.
I almost took her for a human. She was relatively slim, seemed almost weak, but a quick look into her eyes was enough to see which monster was standing in front of me.
Another werewolf.
"I thought I might be able to help," she said in a low, almost frail voice. If she had stood further away, I probably wouldn't have understood a word. The twin across from
me
sighed I mean. Unfortunately, I don't think you can help there. The situation is just a bit wrong at the moment."
The young woman's gaze turned briefly to me, then alternately to the twins.
"Would trying make it worse?" she asked, smiling slightly.
"I think you can try it. I just don't believe in it any more than Luke." "
Good." She said softly and clapped her hands once.
She looked expectantly from one twin to the other.
But they seemed to know just as little as I did what she wanted now.
"Don't you think a conversation between women would be far more productive than sitting next to you and theoretically being able to straddle at any time.
"Are you kicking us out of our own house right now, Luna?" the twin next to her asked confused. "Yes Beta, imagine. That's exactly what I'm doing."
She didn't seem convincing at all with her weak voice, which seemed to be getting out of control, but to my amazement the twins actually listened to her.
Even if neither of the two seemed really enthusiastic, both disappeared through the door to the outside.
"Oh man, what a fuss.", the blond woman sighed.
I kept my eyes on the woman carefully. It really is hard to believe that she was a werewolf.
She calmly walked around the sofa and sat down across from me.
Smiling she looked at me,
"Hey, I'm Lily."
