Development

I just couldn't believe this is happening again and again. It was like a fucking loop. I just couldn't get out of it. My life was over. I wished that there was an out for me but unfortunately there wasn't. She left me and I watched her leave with Mike. It was like being beaten a hundred times or worse. My body and mind was feeling tired. I heard my wolf wailing. It was forcing me to shift in order to protect her. But I suppressed it. I don't want any more drama from him. My life as such is horrendous. I couldn't even think clearly right now.

"She is gone", Lana whispered. I stayed silent it was so obvious. I hardly could comment anything to that.

I walked back as though I was hit. My legs forcing me to walk away from the pain and the hurt my mate was causing me. All of my teams were walking closely by me. I knew they were expecting a command from me any second. No one could believe that I had let her walk away so easily. Even I couldn't believe it myself. But it was her choice. I can't take it away from her not today or any day.

I walked to our office closely followed by everyone. I say in front of my desk like nothing had happened. I can't break down right now. I will get her back if not today then tomorrow. She wants freedom from me. I allowed it for now. But it won't be for long. Once she is done with her little space I will take her back. She is mine. I don't fucking allow Julio or anyone to steal what is mine. And Mike should learn to mind his own business. If he did something similar at me again then he will suffer an I'll fate.

"Don't you have to work?", I asked them.

"But Alpha what about Luna?", asked Lana.

" What about her?", she made her decision. You all have heard her. There is no point in stopping her unless you want to enter a war right away", I told them.

"Without Luna what will be our future"?, asked Lana.

"You all managed fine before. Why are you all concerned about her suddenly. I will get her back. But not right now. She said she needs some space. I'm only giving her what she wanted. I too need a clear head. With a war on horizon God forbid I need it right now.

"We understand Alpha sorry for troubling you", they said.

"Trouble is about to begin. I need to be on call with the rest of the tribes. I need to know what is going to happen? With trouble going few feet's away. I doubt how long could we stand neutral. Arrange the calls", I ordered.

Lana scrambled away to arrange for the calls. Everyone started their work. My wolf had gone quiet. I doubt I could ever shift again. Constantly on war with oneself do take a toll on you eventually.

"I got everyone", said Lana. I went to see it. I saw all the leaders from the tribes in the screen.

"Greetings", I said to everyone.

"None of us share a cordial relationship with each other but in the rare circumstances like this we should put our differences aside and work for a solution", I told them.

"That is a good icebreaker but unfortunately for us we no longer share the warm relationship with humans like you", said alpha of eastern tribe to me.

"Who told you that I share a warm relationship with humans. We have learnt to coexist. They took my mate away a while ago. So that takes away whatever warmth I feel for them", I told them.

"Again? You need to put her on a tighter leash. You never learn from your experience ", said the alpha of eastern tribe.

"I'm not here to discuss my family. I wanted to know why this war is happening? Haven't we lost enough already?", I asked them.

"Tell me what have you lost? The greatest of all alphas you have warred with us in your whims. Now you teach us peace", they told me.

"I'm not teaching you anything. I'm reminding you of how you fare in a war. I have told this before I'm being neutral. But some circumstances have changed things though. But I'm hoping it will get resolved soon", I told them.

"So there is a chance that you might join the war?", asked the alpha of southern tribe.

“Yes there is a chance. It is a personal issue ", I told them.

" That has never stopped you before. We all can guess that you will be waiting for them to return your mate. If they don't you will go for war with them as usual", the alpha of eastern tribe told me.

"That is very perceptive", I told them.

"We all learnt from our experience. Whenever she goes missing you come to war with us. That is our inside joke", said the alpha of eastern tribe.

" If you can still joke about war then this conversation cannot lead anywhere. I know I have made mistakes I was mad with grief. It won't happen again", I told them.

" We would like to pass our condolences on your loss", they told.

"She is not dead yet", I told them.

"Do you think this was a coincidence? Taking your mate just before a war. This was a planned move. They will ransom her back to you. Only if you agree to unify with them. Choose your allies carefully or you will regret it forever", said the alpha of eastern tribe.

"Noted as of now my stand is neutral. I will let you know if there is any change. If anyone forces me to the war no one will like the consequences. The chit chat is over. Goodbye", I told them and all the screens went black.

"Lana inform Mike to deliver her next week. If not be ready for the consequences", I told her. Her eyes became alert.
