THE UNTOLD TRUTH ABOUT HER
CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR
SARAH'S POV
It didn't take long when we arrived at the airport. The visa attendance didn't bother checking our passports as a middle aged man dressed in a suit rushed towards us.
"Good evening Mr Russell. We've been waiting for your arrival. The pilots are ready to take off. Please, follow me, sir." The man said and gestured us through the hallway.
After a minute walk, we arrived at the runway where the airplane was ready to take off as we walked further to get onboard.
"Everything you need is all in the plane, sir. Enjoy your flight sir and you too, ma'am." The man added with a bow before we finally got into the plane.
I was mesmerized by how beautiful the plane looked. This is the first time I'm getting on a plane so I still need to look around.
"Welcome on board, Mr Russell." The two flight attendants uttered, bowing their heads.
Mr Russell walked over to take a seat while I followed behind him. He took a seat by the window side on the left while I took a seat by the right.
"Get me a glass of red champagne." He stated, to one of them.
"Right away, sir." The skinny one answered and left while the other one helped him to lock the seat belt.
I tried locking the seat belt but I failed at it and continued to watch how she was doing it.
"Let me help me, ma'am." She said, and pulled a bit of the belt and locked it.
"Thank you." I uttered.
"You're welcome. What would you like to have?" She asked, which made me look in my boss's direction.
"Get her a juice. Specify the one you want her to get you." He stated, without looking at me.
"Orange will do."
"Okay ma'am." She bowed and left.
"Welcome on board. We're taking off at exactly 5: 45 and the time we'll arrive in Paris is 9 hours and 15 minutes." The pilot said through the speaker.
We really have a long way to go before we arrive at our destination. It would have been fun if aunt Kathy or Max was here. It would be so lively but having Mr Russell here will make the trip boring but I'll still enjoy the ride since it's my first time.
**
I don't know how long I spent sleeping but I woke up and didn't get a glimpse of Mr Russell on his seat which made me begin to check around with my eyes.
To be frank, I was scared he must have left me or something just to punish me or something. I know I haven't been following his rules which might be the reason why he might want to get back at me.
I tried to unlock the seat belt and thought of calling one of the flight attendants to help me out when I heard the exact sound of his shoe coming from behind.
I quickly turned around and saw him with a towel wiping off his hands which made me let out a soft sigh in relief.
He just took a moment to use the bathroom. How could I not think about that? I must really be that dumb to think he would even abandon him when we're already flying in the sky.
JAYDEN'S POV
I was surprised when she looked at me like some lost puppy when I walked back from the bathroom.
Did she think I left her all alone in the plane? I must say she's really weird and definitely dumb.
I could tell it was her first time on a plane when we stepped inside. She was staring all around with amusement and love. I know she will definitely enjoy this moment for the rest of her life.
Seeing her makes me wonder if there's so much like her in this world. I finally got her the information of how she lived in New York from my investigator and I must say she's really brave and strong like she seemed.
She had to suffer a lot to take care of her mother's medical bills and settle some debts. No wonder, she couldn't take up a good job and had to do odd jobs to earn daily just to pay off the loans.
What I find strange about her is the fact that she had to tolerate her biological father's ill treatment. She's really dumb at that. How can she be so brave from the inside yet weak on the outside.
She really needs some sense to fight back such things but that isn't my problem and business. I wonder how long such a person will continue to endure such pain without dying from the inside.
***
I was going through the video of my son on my iPad when I heard a strange noise coming from Sarah which made me pause the video to listen to what she was murmuring out.
"Please, don't go, mother. I need you!" She kept repeating but after a while she stopped.
She must have been traumatized by her mother's death. She's not so brave from the inside after all.
"Welcome to Paris, Mr Russell. We're about to land." One of the pilots announced through the telecom.
"Welcome to Paris, sir." Both the flight attendants said while I just nodded in response.
SARAH'S POV
I was sleeping soundly when I felt a little pat on my hand which made me open my eyes to see one of the flight attendants smiling at me.
"We've arrived in Paris, ma'am." She said, as I looked through the window to see we're already in the airport.
I looked around to see my Mr Russell was nowhere to be found which made me look worried but the flight attendant smiled.
"He's in the car outside, waiting for you." She said and helped me with the seat belt.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome ma'am. I hope you enjoy your stay." She bowed and gave me space to pass.
The moment I walked to the door, I was welcomed by a series of cars and bodyguards standing outside which made me gasp in shock.
How was he able to arrange for all these in such a short period of time? What am I saying? He's a mafia don and a business man so it's just a piece of cake to him.
"Welcome to Paris, ma'am. Let's go, Mr Russell is waiting for you in the car." A young man in a suit said.
"Tha-- thank you." I replied with a smile as he led me to the car Mr Russell was in before opening the door for me.
The moment I got in, the young man got into the passenger seat and instructed the drivers to take off through a walkie-talkie.
