SAVED
CHAPTER FIFTY FOUR
JAYDEN'S POV
Desmond pulled the opposite Sarah's house after instructing his men to hold on before we arrived so as not to get the attention of Sarah or anyone from her family.
We found a strange car parked inside the house which tells us something is definitely going on inside.
"Boys, are you ready?" Desmond uttered, speaking to his boys through the ear bud.
"Jay, how do you want us to attack? You know if it's left for me to decide I would say we should go wild. It's always fun." He grinned, cocking his gun.
"That's not gonna happen. Let's do it my way. Six of your men should surround the house while you and I along with two other men go through the front door. Is that noted?"
"Yes boss. Boys, you all heard what he said so let's roll." He stated, giving directions to the men with his hand while we proceeded towards the front door.
"You sure want to do this, Jay?"
"More than you could ever imagine."
"Here! I'm sure you will need it." He said, handing a gun to me with a grin before asking the two men with us to knock down the door.
I took a deep breath, hoping Sarah is inside and isn't in any danger.
Desmond and I took some steps backwards as the boys knocked down the door with full force before we walked in.
"Stay right there or I'll kill them all." An unfamiliar voice yelled, pointing a gun to Sarah's head while her family were held down by some men.
"If it isn't the one and only Splinter himself. You still haven't changed your old ways." Desmond scoffed, staring at the man.
"You can say that again, Des! How have been waiting for a moment like these to make you pay for what you did to me."
"It would be so foolish of you to blame me for your failures, Splinter. Let the girl go along with her family so things can go smoothly for you."
"Make me, if you have the guts." The man dared, moving the gun down to Sarah's neck.
I don't have the f**king time for their little talks. I've to do something to distract him and save Sarah because she looks scared.
"Let's make a deal. What do you want?" I uttered, giving Desmond's men who came in through the back door to grab the men pointing their guns towards Sarah's family.
"And why should I listen to you, uhn? Who the f**k are you anyway?"
"Someone you wouldn't want to mess with." I grinned and shot him in the leg which made him let go of Sarah before Desmond men held him down.
"That was a smart move, Jay. I should blow off the bastard's head." Desmond chuckled.
"Let me handle it my own way. Take Sarah and her family outside."
"Sure. But make his death a living hell. I've been wanting to do it myself."
"Just go, Desmond." I groaned, as they all walked out leaving just me and the guy named Splinter.
"You're f**king crazy man!" He yelled, groaning in pain.
"You should be thankful I didn't shoot you in your manhood for laying hands on my woman."
"So, what the f**k are you going to do to me? If you want to kill me then go ahead and do it but one thing is sure. My men won't stop until that family pays back what they owe."
"I'm not much of a talker like Desmond. I take things pretty seriously. How much do they owe you?"
"A million dollars. Can you pay it or I should just take the girl instead? I'm sure she's going to taste good in my bed." He smirked, licking the corner of his lips.
"F**k you! You just made the biggest mistake of your life. See you in hell!" I spat in rage and shot him in the head.
He went overboard saying nasty stuff about my woman. Not even the slightest insult will I overlook when it comes to her.
SARAH'S POV
We were waiting for Jayden hoping he was fine when my father walked up to me along with my step mother and step sister.
"Sarah, I'm really sorry for everything. Please, find a place in your heart to forgive me." My father said, going on his knees while my step mother and Eva joined him.
"Please forgive us, Sarah. If you hadn't showed up with these people, we would all have been dead." My step mother added and tried to hold my leg but I moved back before she could attempt it.
They're not worth my forgiveness. They hurt me so much that I had to bear all of it. They never think of the pain and suffering I was going through.
As much as I don't want to have anything to do with them. I can't bring myself not to forgive them and live in peace with myself knowing they'll forever live with the guilt of what they did to me.
As for my father, my words still stand. I've broken all ties with him and this family for good and hope they will stay away from me as far as possible.
"I've forgiven you all but that doesn't mean I'll accept any of you back in my life. You all are dead to me as a family. From this day onward, I'm a total stranger to you guys."
"Thank you so much Sarah. We really appreciate you forgiving us."
"Please, Sarah, I'm ready to be the father I wasn't to you all these years. Please Sarah, don't do this to me." My father pleaded, with tears in his eyes.
"I don't think that will ever be possible." I stated, wiping the tears off my face.
The moment I saw Jayden step out from the door, I rushed up to him and embraced him with tears in my eyes.
"Shhh.. I'm here with you, my love. Everything is alright."
"I'm so sorry!" I apologized, sniffing back the tears.
"It's alright. You're safe now. It wasn't your fault. I should have noticed your mood but I didn't. I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry I let you down. I ruined the proposal you worked hard for."
"It's okay, my love. You don't have to feel any guilt. I can still propose to you here." He said, which made me raise my head up to see if he was joking.
He went down on one knee and slowly took out the small box from his trouser before taking out the ring.
"Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife? Will you marry me Sarah Weston?" He smiled, staring at me with so much love.
"Yes. I will marry you." I replied, giving him my hand as he inserted the ring.
"Thank you for accepting to be mine." He added, pulling me close to his body before crushing our lips together.
