CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR

SARAH'S POV

I was worried how furious Jayden was looking as the strange man was talking to him which tells something is wrong.

After a little while, he got inside the car before driving backwards.

I was already meaning to ask him what's wrong but seeing how furious he was rendered me speechless.

He drove back to the hotel and helped me out of the car without saying a single word to me, which I understand pretty much.

We got to our suite and found Max already sleeping on the sofa before Jayden finally said the words I wasn't expecting.

"Is everything alright? I thought the vacation was going to last longer."

"I'm sorry, my love but something came up which I must deal with but first you and Max will have to go before I join you guys."

"What's really going on, honey? Please, talk to me."

"I can't explain it to you right now but you've to listen to me and just do what I say. The man who was me earlier will

"Does it have to do with the attack?"

"Get your stuff and Max's as well. The man will be here soon." He stated and walked out of the room which made me keep wondering what was happening.

I haven't seen him act that way in a while or have I done something wrong to him and what could it be?

After packing up both Max and I luggage, I headed back to our suite and found him with the man earlier in a discussion but they stopped suddenly.

"Max and I are ready." I uttered and tried to step outside to give them privacy when Jay called me back.

"I'm sorry for acting that way to you earlier, my love. I'm just hurt that our vacation had to be canceled due to a reason. I never wanted it to come to you in this way."

"Yeah, sure. I understand. Max and I will be waiting outside." I responded and tried to leave but the next word he said made me stop dead on the spot.

"What did you say?" I asked, not believing my ears.

"I've found the people behind all the attacks we have been encountering."

"What? Who are they and how could they do such a thing?"

"You don't have to worry, my love. The situation is under control that's why I need you and Max to return back."

"I thought I had done something wrong but since everything is all clear. I just hope you will stay safe and catch the people behind those immoral acts."

"I definitely will, my love. Jonas here will be the one to escort you both to the airport. Call me up once you arrive home."

"I will, honey." I replied and embraced him before strolling outside along with Jonas.

I hope the culprits get caught and dealt with. Having such people among humans is the most disgusting thing ever. They absolutely need someone to put them in their place and my Jay is the perfect human for the job.

He will deal with them which will serve as a lesson to others who are doing it or the ones who have the intention to do it.

JAYDEN'S POV

I felt disgusted when Jonas told me the people behind the attack. Never did I imagine Ryan had the guts to keep sending people to attack me and what makes me more furious is the fact that I never knew about it until today.

I'll need an army to show each and everyone of them who the underworld mafia don is and what he can do to destroy his enemies.

The army perfect for the job are the Russians which is why I need to go to Russia first and do business with a rival friend.

Even if it has to do with making peace with my once best friend to deal with Ryan and show the mafia families I'm the undefeatable underworld mafia don, then so be it.

I got a call from Jason earlier that the plane Sarah and Max board had taken flight which gave me the ease to carry on my plans.

I've to be secretive this time around since no one is to be trusted, not even Jason who showed up after five years. I'm sure there's something off about and I'll have someone keep a close eye on him.

I arrived in Russia along with Jonas with a few of his men as we headed straight to the powerful Russian mafia don's mansion.

We got to the mansion but were denied entrance inside until Emiliano showed up staring at me with hate.

"What brings such an indispensable traitor here?" He spat out in anger.

"I've come to make peace." I answered.

"And why should I believe the son of the man who killed my father right to my face?"

"I also lost my father as well but I've gotten over it and thought making peace with you would change everything but I guess I was wrong."

"It's easy for you to say that. Let them in." He stated and walked head back inside while I got back into the car as we drove inside.

I'm really having a second thought if he's really going to help me out. I have got to make peace with him whichever way possible.

We got inside the living room and found him seated on the sofa as I asked Jonas and some of his men to wait outside before joining him.

"So tell me what this sudden visit is all about and let's get to it once and for all."

"Liano, I'm sorry for what I said to you and how I reacted. I really want to make peace with you and also end these years of enmity both our fathers started."

"I can't believe the same person who vowed never to make peace is apologizing to me. This is really something that I can't believe. I know something is definitely not going well for you and you believe I'm the only one who can help you."

"Please Liano, I-- I can explain everything to you. The reason is---" I was explaining when a caller on my phone stopped me. I took out the phone from my suite as it turned out to be Henry calling.

"What's wrong Henry?" I inquired, putting the call on handsfree.

"The country is in mourning, boss." He responded.

It was the mafia families code and when uttered, it means someone got murdered from the members.

"Who is it, Henry?" I asked, trying to be calm and hopeful it isn't someone so close to me.

"It's bad news, boss. It's the oldest member." He broke down in tears, which made me almost drop the phone down.

No, no! It can't be. It can't possibly be true. It must be some kind of prank or something.
