THE BEGINNING OF THE END

CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT

JAYDEN’S POV

"Shoot anyone at sight. I don’t mind if it's the son of a bitch himself." I yelled as the guys spread around the old building while Liano and I took the front door with four guys holding their snippers.

"Wouldn't it be risky to just kill their boss without finding your wife and son first?" Liano suggested but I just glared at him and left him behind.

He does have a point but my ego won't let me accept. What if Ryan or one of his boys has Sarah or Max at gunpoint, what would be the outcome?

"Fine! You can tell them not to shoot their boss except the boys." I yelled out, as I crocked my gun.

The boys shot two of the men guarding the entrance and led us inside shooting anyone in sight. Liano and I along with two of the boys took the stairs while the rest spread out around the living room.

The building had many doors which I'm sure Sarah and Max are held captive in one of the rooms.

"Spread out!" Liano whispered to the boys as they began checking out the rooms one after the other.

The boys kept searching until we heard a loud scream which sounded like Sarah's voice from the last end of the room as I rushed over and pushed the door open.

I found Sarah tied to the bed with a guy trying to force himself on her while Steven and two other guys along with two of their men were holding Max.

"Get the hell off my woman!" I yelled, putting a bullet to the guy's head as Liano and the boys rushed in pointing their guns at Steven and his crew.

"It's over, Steven Malcolm. Tell your men to drop their guns!" Liano fired as I rushed over to Sarah and untied her.

“I’m so sorry, my love. I should have come a bit sooner. I’ll make sure they pay dearly for laying a finger on you and Max.” I apologised, and carried her in between my arms while Max rushed up to us.

“It’s okay, I’m fine.” She whispered, with tears dripping down her cheeks.

“I hope they didn't do anything to you?" I inquired, staring at her in guilt for getting her into all this mess.

‘’No! Please, just take me away from here.” She added, resting her head on my shoulder we head outside with Max trailing behind me.

We got outside where the cars were as two of Liano's men who were watching the environment rushed towards me.

One of them quickly opened the car door as I slowly sat Sarah down along with Max next to her.

"You'll be fine, my love. He will take you both to the hospital before I join you guys. I'm very sorry, my love. I'll set things right for good, I promise." I assured her and instructed one of the men to do the needful before heading back inside the building to finish what I started.

I'm going to end everything for good this time. I'll take out all my enemies both the old and new ones, even if I've to, just to keep both of them safe from danger.

I walked into the room and found Steven, his two friends and their men pulled to their knees by Liano which made me smirk devilishly.

They forced me to bring out my devilish side and there's no way none of them are going to get it any easier from me.

"Come on, get on it, devil. I'm not scared of you and even if I die, I know I did achieve little of my goal by challenging you." Steven said, bravely without flinching in fear.

"I wasn't planning to kill you slowly but since you haven't had any experience on what I can do, I'll make you witness the very fear of death," I stated, with my lip curled into a devilish smirk.

"But before that, I would like you to meet someone." I added as two of Liano's boys dragged Ryan half lifeless body inside before making him kneel before me.

"What did you say again? I knew if I need to get to my enemies, I'll have to bring in the root of the cause and here he is. It was an easy way to get to him, you know."

"He isn't the actual root to this problem. You're just unlucky being the mafia don, that's why you're not powerful enough to be one." He scoffed mockingly which made me send a bullet to his left out.

"Oh... f**k! You're such..." He was saying when I cut in sharply.

"Be careful because once a lion roars, the whole animal flinches in fear. Ryan, you've always been a problem to me ever since I found out what you did to Amanda but I'd let it go but going to the extent of murdering her and neatly wrapping the job is something I would never forgive."

"Please, Jay, spare my life. I know I did wrong but please forgive me." He pleaded weakly.

"You've to pay for all the sins you committed along with your accomplices. I'll give you all a slow and painful death that you would wish you hadn't been born."

"We should have killed you when we had the chance and hadn't it being of your b*tch, who saved you, you wouldn't have been here." One of the guys that looked like brothers sprouted out in resentment.

"It's you boys who tried to kill me! I should have known you guys are all connected in this mess as well. And if you call my woman a b*tch once again, then I won't hesitate to send a bullet into your d*mn skull."

"Don't you dare lay your hands on my brother or I'll f**king hunt you down and wipe out your family!" The other brother fired.

"That's only if any of you would make it out of here while I'm still alive. Liano, is what I asked for ready?"

"Yes, Jay." He answered and signalled one of his boys to get it.

I'll make each and every one of them beg for their lives before sending them to their graves but before sending them off, I'll let them know why I have and still will remain the mafia don.

"You know, there's actually something you don't know yet. You see, I was the one behind the death of that old man you called your godfather. I felt the poor old man was already old and decided to send him off in a happy style. Isn't that a superb move I made?" Steven uttered, which made me bitter and pained about my godfather's death.

"You made the gravest mistake of your life by laying your filthy hands on him and I promise I won't make your death easy." I vowed and stormed out of the room.

Nobody messes with me or my family and gets away that easily. I'll definitely avenge godfather and Amanda's death for sure.
