“Mmm, I love the smell of coffee in the morning” she moaned waking from her sleep

“I knew you would, here you need to eat something” I said putting the tray of food on her lap as she sat up.

“What’s all this, how can you have so many sweet things for breakfast?” she said laughing and shaking her head

“What do you mean?, this is a great breakfast fit for royalty”,

“Oh, now I understand why they are all so fat” she said taking a bite of a doughnut,

“Well, let them eat cake right?” I said teasingly, she held her doughnut to my mouth, and I took a bite,

“What would you like to do today” I asked sitting beside her,

“I can’t today, I have to go home, my mom must be worried, come to think of it I haven’t seen her at all since I got back, I need to make it up to her somehow” she said squeezing my hand, I don’t know how but I was missing her already

“I understand, can we get together later?”

“Why, still not sick of me, huh?” she replied playfully nudging my arm

“Never, so is that a yes?” she nodded taking a mouth full of strawberry crape.

Scarlett’s POV

Walking into my house, I felt like I was walking on air literally floating, I waisted so much time pushing him away I smiled knowing that I spent the entire night in his arms, the thought of his arms around me brought butterflies to my stomach, how did I ever live without him? I must not have been living, these feelings tell me clearly that I was just existing, the things I felt for him I couldn’t describe, I can’t believe he was right in front of me all this time and I didn’t know it,

“Are you okay?” mom asked looking knowingly at me,

“I’m fine mom” I said collapsing on the couch,

“Is this what you felt when you realised dad was your mate?”, I asked unable to contain my joy,

“Well, your dad swept me of my feet, boy was he handsome and something about him just called to me, we just couldn’t stay away from each other, not that we tried at all” she said with a chuckle and looking shyly away, I saw her shake it off right before she sat next to me.

“I assume you’re asking because you found your mate?” I nodded and put my face in my palms,

“Well, are you going to tell me who it is, is it Aiden?”

“Mom, what is happening to me?” I asked laying my head on her lap,

“what am I going to do?, I’m not ready to be someone’s wife, I know that being Aiden’s mate means I’m the future Luna, I’m only eighteen and just started college, he will be Alpha soon, and if I marry him I will have to leave school and lead the pack as his Luna, I don’t know if I can do that mom, what should I do?” I asked her, feeling the blissful happiness crushing under the weight of it all, this was becoming too real, too fast. I have dreams too, things I want to achieve I can’t put them aside to be his Luna, I love him, yes, and with his mark on me my life is his, it seems as though all the control I thought I had was slipping away,

“what am I going to do?” I asked her again with tears running down my face feeling it all at once.

“Come I will make you your favourite for breakfast” she said pulling me off the couch and dragging me to the kitchen, I sat on the counter,

“I already ate, will you give me any advice at all?” I said with a frustrated and whiny voice,

“He is your mate, and you love him, and judging from the gigantic smile you had earlier surely he loves you too, you need to tell him all these concerns you have, the life you will have together has to be built by the two of you, there are no titles in a marriage, no Luna…no Alpha behind closed doors it will be just Aiden and Scarlett” she said with a reassuring voice cupping my cheeks with her hands.

“Would you like some tea then, seeing that you’ve already eaten?” she asked turning the kettle on I nodded and buried my head in my arms.

I opened my bedroom door drying my hair with a towel after taking a bath, I looked on the bed and there was a white rectangular box with a red ribbon wrapped around it, when I looked closer I saw a note attached to it.

Aiden

My heart fluttered, I had never gotten a gift like this before, I carefully untied the ribbon and slowly opened the box and found the most beautiful silver chiffon sequin dress I had ever seen, I tried it on and it fit perfectly, it went all the way to the floor and had long sleeves with a sweetheart neckline, I felt so sexy in it, I could see why Aiden chose it. I just didn’t have any shoes that would go with it, I lifted the box to put it away

“Why is this so heavy I looked inside again, and I saw that there was another layer, I moved away the internal packaging

“oh, my goodness… Red Bottoms” I screeched jumping up and down in my room, they are by far my favourite part of the entire outfit, how does he know me so well, either that or he just has great taste.

I looked at the clock five minutes to eight, I was now getting nervous, last night when I realised that Aiden was my mate, things moved naturally and now because of these doubts, I am not sure if this is the right time or if I’m ready for all this to move so fast, he is even talking about having a mating ceremony, I need to tell him, mom is right, I need to tell him how I feel

“I don’t know how he is going to take it though” I said feeling nervous.
