Scarlett’s POV

As I sat on my bed, I thought how lucky it was that mom was out when I got home in the morning,

“How am I going to tell her?, how will she react?, why did I say yes?, how could I have said no to this ring?…who could?” question after question racing in and out of my head.

“Ding Dong” the doorbell rang, I ignored it, I am not in the mood to see people right now,

“Will I still be able to go to school after becoming Luna?, will I have time?, what are the duties of a Luna exactly? The questions continued,

“Knock, knock Scarlett are you up?” mom asked opening the door,

“Yes mom, come in, who was at the door?”

“Well, you will never guess, we got invited to the Mass ball, that was the delivery guy, very well dressed for a delivery man I must say” she said walking into my bedroom carrying another white box with a red bow on it, my heart leaped, and I grabbed the box from her and started taking it apart, I slowly pulled out an elegant satin blue ball gown with a purse and shoes to match, I read the note attached to the box…

“Excuse me but you have something to wear tonight, and I don’t…I will be back, I have to go shop” she left running down the hall to her room, I looked at her and rolled my eyes,

“Okay, I guess I will see you later then” I called after her, but she was in such a hurry she didn’t hear anything that I was saying.
