Chapter 76
“Enough Aiden, get off me” he looked at me and on his face was written 'no way in hell'
“You were more aggressive with me when I had you in that position” Xavier smirked, Aiden got off and rushed to the door
“You, asshole” he barked punching Xavier in the face
“Stop it” I screamed horridly putting myself together
“You tricked her, don’t you dare speak to her like that” Xavier tripped and fell to the floor of the plane, Aiden launched himself on top of him and started punching him relentlessly
“Aiden stop it” I stood at the foot of the door and shouted
Xavier growled and hit Aiden in the ribs, Aiden flinched for a split second, Xavier seized the opportunity and hit Aiden on the chin making him fall backwards.
“Enough, Aiden, Xavier stop this right now” I wanted to do something, anything, but I was paralysed all I could do was look as, Xavier launched himself on top of Aiden and started punching ruthlessly, Aiden covered his face with his arms
“Tricked her, don’t make me laugh” Xavier growled, Aiden hit Xavier in the stomach and pushed him off, both of them rushed to their feet facing each other with their hands in a fighting position as they breathed heavily
“Bringing up something that happened so long ago, are you really that lonely…pathetic” Aiden smirked glaring at Xavier
“Long ago?” Xavier laughed “if last night counts as long ago”
“What? Last night?” Aiden turned and looked at me, ‘shit’
“Wanna smell my fingers?” Xavier smirked
“Shut up” Aiden growled punching Xavier straight across the face, he moved so fast that I only saw Xavier hit the cockpit door and slid down coughing trying to ease the pain, then Aiden looked at me walking slowly towards me
“Is that true, where you with him in that way?” he whispered
“I lost it for a split second, I thought he was you”
“Seriously, come on Scar, how long are you going to use the same excuse?” he boomed scaring me making me jump back
“I told you, she’s my mate too” Xavier hissed still sitting on the floor, Aiden ignored him and glared at me, he was now standing in front of me
“Are you telling me that you still can’t tell us apart?”
“It’s true though, you guys not only smell the same you even look the same”
“Him, really?”
“It’s not like that, I thought he was you”
Sadness flashed across his face, and he took my hand dragging me out of the bedroom and shoving me towards the middle of the plane
“Aid, what are you doing?”
“I need time to think”
“Wait, let's talk about this, don’t run away again”
He glared at me and looked away; his eyes looked away immediately every time they landed on me
“What, you can’t even bare to look at me?” he shook his head
“No, I can’t” he said under his breath and closed the door and locked it
“Aid, come on, you know it didn’t mean anything, I told you that I thought it was you, open this door and talk to me” I barked banging on the door
“Let him pout” Xavier groaned taking a seat “here come sit with me” he said holding the side of his body grimacing in pain
I walked over and sat on the other side of the aisle with a huff folding my arms in frustration staring out the window at the blue sky “why did you have to say that to him?”
“What, was it a secret, I was supposed to not tell?”
“I should have been the one to tell him, now everything is all fucked up”
“Sorry, next time I won't tell, it will be our little secret” he said with his face looking mischievous
“Trust me there won’t be a next time” I barked
“I bet that’s what you told yourself the last time and yet here we are, admit it, of your two mates I’m the one that excites you the most” he said in a matter-of-fact way
“I’m not your mate, so give up already”
“I have, you’ve made your choice, I’m only here for one thing”
“You’re not getting my child Xavier”
“We’ll see about that”
“Are you planning on following me everywhere until I give birth?”
“If I must, yes”
“Well good luck with that” as I said those words to him I noticed that he looked pleased with himself, and I got a sinking feeling that he had something up his sleeve, but I didn’t know what it was.

“Scarlett, wake up, we’re here” I groaned and wiped the sleep from my eyes
“Where is he?” I asked looking around and seeing that Aiden wasn't there
“He’s still pouting” Xavier tilted his head towards the edge of the plane, I took a deep breath and walked towards the bedroom door, I started to knock and hesitated, I tried the handle and to my surprise it opened
I walked in and saw Aiden sleeping on the bed, his face had a red hue, the bruises from his fight with Xavier were starting to show, I knelt down next to him, he looked so peaceful, his beautiful face lost in a peaceful sleep
I gently brushed back his golden-brown hair and smiled as it settled away from his forehead bending to my will, he wrestled in his sleep and slowly opened his eyes, a smile landed on his face as soon as he saw me
“Hi” he whispered
“Hi” I whispered smiling back at him
"Please don’t be mad at me, you’re my entire world, please believe that" ‘say that it’s fine, say you forgive me, please just say that’ I kept repeating these words in head, but when I opened my mouth I said
“We have arrived the plane has landed”
“Hey, what’s wrong?” he whispered sitting up and taking my face in his hands and whipping a tear that had escaped from my cheek
“Nothing” I lied and with that my tears betrayed me exposing how I really felt, he knelt down beside me and kissed me
“I’m sorry” he said so softly that if it wasn’t for my wolf I wouldn’t have heard him
“Don’t do that” I said removing his hands from my face “don’t forgive me so easily” I shook my head and let the tears run down freely as I cried silently
“If not me then who?” he chuckled trying to lighten the mood “for better or worse, remember”
“No, I’m sorry, I keep disappointing you” I looked deep in his gorgeous emerald-green eyes “I keep letting you down, you’re better off without me” I took his hands in mine “you need to leave me”
“What” he barked, his anger flaring up
“Think about it, Venice is surrounded by water, you won't be able to scent me, I’ll be as good as dead to you, this way…”
“No, I’m not going anywhere”

“Enough Scar, do you honestly think I can go on without you?”
“I hate what I’m doing to you, at least with you and Xavier gone I won't be confused or make the wrong call and disappoint you once again” I pleaded with him
“Stop it Scar, you are mine and I’m yours” he took me in his hands, holding me in a tight hug. I pushed him away and took a deep breath
“Blue jeans, white t-shirt, black jeans, black t-shirt” I whispered
“What?” he hissed
“That’s how I could tell you apart” his face scrunched up in confusion “I know you don’t believe me, and it seems farfetched to say the least, but you guys look the same, same face, same haircut and same scent, to me you are one, maybe Xavier is right, what did princess Aurora call it again?” I turned from him searching my brain for the words
“Dyadic wolf, a wolf with two mates, maybe that’s me?”
“No, it isn’t” he barked taking my face in his hands again making me face him
“How else do you explain it, I can’t tell the difference between the two of you, to another wolf you might smell different but to me you are one and the same, I can’t live like that, what will happen tomorrow when you’re not around and I think he’s you, I can’t even imagine how hurt you will be seeing us in that way, I can’t Aid, please don’t ask me to do that” I clung to his shirt searching his eyes for something, anything that says he understands what I’m trying to tell him
“I’m not leaving you; I can’t live without you…” he looked away from me and stopped
"But?" I asked willing him to complete his sentence
“But you’re scaring me, I feel like you’re gonna disappear on me, I’m afraid that one day I’ll wake up and you won’t be there” his tears threatened to escape making mine run down my face
“Aid, I need you to understand”
“I do”
“No, you don’t, you say you do, but you don’t”
“You’re right, I don’t, and I might never understand” he squeezed my hands and pleaded looking deep into my eyes “but will you please let me try”
“Aid”
“Please Scar, for the sake of our mate bond, for the sake of our marriage” he paused, and I knew that what he was about to say next was the most important to him “for the sake of our unborn child, will you do that for me?” I bit my lip considering his words
“Please Scar, if not for me, but for everything that we have built together” his eyes, soul and spirit pleading with me “trust me to keep you and our child safe”
“Okay” I breathed feeling a mixture of sadness and happiness at the same time, I let my love for him take over, I let my selfishness take over and I’m hoping, pleading with all my might that the moon goddess will show me a sign that my decision is the right one
His face widened with the widest perfect Aiden smile, my body reacted involuntarily filling me with his happiness, making me forget all my worries and troubles
He gently stroked my face and kissed me softly, the kiss was tender and loving, letting me know that he was mine body, mind, and soul, I kissed him back with the same passion verifying our bond ‘I’m yours Aid and I will never let you go’
“I love you” he whispered in my mouth, I smiled and responded
“I love you too”
He took my hand, and we walked out of the plane
“Nice of you to join us” a familiar voice hissed from down the descending stairwell breaking our honeymoon state
“What the hell are you doing here Aurora?” Aiden barked, I looked and saw that Xavier was standing next to her with a smug smile on his face
“We need to talk” she said calmly
“I have nothing to say to you” Aiden growled annoyed at her presence
“Ou contraire, it seems you’ve been keeping a dirty little secret and unfortunately for you, it has come to light” she growled
“What are you talking about?” he barked
“Enough, we don’t have time to waste, let’s go talk back at the palace shall we” she turned around and the palace guards stood at the foot of the stairs waiting to escort us
“Aid, what’s going on?” I whispered trying to piece the puzzle together
“I don’t know, but I swear I will get to the bottom of it”
