TWENTY ONE
DAMON
As I hurried my steps towards the elevator which would take me to the lobby, I fanned my face, totally unaware of the fact that my body was still wet.
After pressing for the elevator, I finally noticed how exposed my body was thanks to the soiled white shirt I had on. The towel in my hand felt small as I wondered how I would dry myself before I get to the lobby.
Well... I could lie if my mother asks questions.
I have been doing a lot of that these days anyway.
The faint sound that came with the doors of the elevator sliding apart reached my ears and I rushed into the waiting space as I got to drying my body as fast as I could.
Almost nervously, the towel dabbed my broad chest and as I did that, I instantly recalled how her body pressed against mine. The crazy warmth I felt at that moment filled my mind.
But, I ignored that recollection and continued with what I was doing as the elevator began its ride.
While taking long, calming breaths, I tucked my shirt in and noted the slightly good job I was doing on my wet clothes.
I continued the drying after my overall outfit was presentable save for its dampness.
As the towel patted my body, I found myself slowly driving into the very thought I was trying to avoid.
'I want you.'
Her sultry declaration rang in my head and I let out a loud groan as I put a stop to what I was doing.
Why can't I forget about the crazy thing that just happened? Why is my mind constantly going to that moment? Why do I keep considering the idea of actually sleeping with her?
She says I'm attracted to her.
I highly doubt that but, if I am indeed attracted to her, that's hardly a good enough reason to end up in bed with her.
I stand by my resolution to give myself to the woman I love.
I know such a thought would be a strange thing to Selena. That's why she finds it so easy to think about giving out her untouched self to the first man she thinks she's attracted to.
Besides, I find it hard to believe that she is a virgin.
Judging by what I saw at that crazy party, I doubt there's anyone in the Damish Gang who has not had a fill of the sexual experience.
I snickered.
The woman must really think I am a fool. She managed to get me to work for her, she lied about my duties and now she wants to turn me into her plaything?
I scoffed instantly as I wore a look of disbelief on my face.
Thank goodness I didn't succumb to the rising arousal within my manhood, I was so close to kissing her when she and I seemingly did a little game of tug of war where our lips kept pulling and pushing each other without touching.
So, thank goodness I didn't give in.
My first time and many sexual experiences won't be with that woman. I will make sure of it.
Her little one-week agenda... It won't succeed.
I will make sure of it.
All I must do is ensure I work diligently at TIANOR and stay out of trouble as much as possible.
As I stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the lobby area which was just a section of the huge ground floor, I made a promise to myself to keep my earlier resolution in mind wherever I am.
Whether I am close to Selena or far from her, I will stay out of every form of trouble.

Lucius startled me greatly as I stepped out of the building. It was after office hours and I must say, it is the first time I will feel good about myself after spending hours at work.
I didn't do much today, but I got to familiarize myself with my department. The staff I met were friendly and willing to know what I do.
I checked out some equipment and they were absolutely gorgeous. The company also had a standard cafeteria which was one thing my former workplace didn't have.
So, as I stepped out of the company, I had a huge smile on my face.
But that smile soon crashed as I set my eyes on Lucius who glared at me from the driver seat where he was dutifully seated.
He gestured toward the passenger seat and I found myself entering the car without thinking.
I had just slammed the door shut when I recalled the resolution I made in the elevator. I shook my head at my sorry self and sighed hard.
"So, did you tell mama you'll be moving to your new house?" Lucius seemed to mock me with his question, but his question just made me confused.
"What new house?" I asked as I watched him press the button that turned on the car's engine.
"Boss didn't tell you? You are going to live in the mansion henceforth."
"What?" I exclaimed. With utter disbelief, I asked, "Is it a thing for you all to determine what goes on in another man's life? I don't even get to live in my house? What kind of bullshit is that?"
My anger increased as my heated questions caused me to occasionally hit the dashboard in front of me.
As I made to continue my lamentation, the car suddenly halted. I soon realized I had not worn the seat belt as my forehead kissed the dashboard hard. As I rubbed my forehead, I glared at Lucius who smirked and continued to drive.
Oh, that vicious devil of a man. He did that on purpose.
What a snake.
Huge displeasure on my face, I wore my seatbelt, and I quickly admonished myself to find another way to deal with The Pretties issue. I don't think I can survive being in the Damish Gang for too long.
I said nothing more as I sat back and took out my phone to engage myself and release my anger.
In no time we arrived at the familiar mansion and the quietude that greeted me gladdened me greatly. I could only hope the same vibe was maintained on the inside.
As we stepped inside, there was thankfully no raging party. The entire space in that ground area was looking as exquisite as the outside view of the building.
Red couches were splattered all over the room in no particular order and that gave the room a welcoming feel. The artworks that filled the room were of different sizes and structures served as decorations that each seemed to tell a story.
It sure is nice to see the real beauty of the mansion without men and women engaging in orgies on the tiled floors.
Out of nowhere, Selena walked out and without looking in my direction, she had her seat on one of the couches that were positioned to back to the entrance. Lucius walked toward her.
"Ugh, I am so tired," I heard her say, her voice barely audible in that large room that now had men guarding its corners. With all forms of seriousness on their hard faces, they held their weapons closely.
