A Secret Place

Fernando's POV

"And here we are!" My babe exclaims excitedly with open arms and my eyes scans the whole area of where she had brought me to.

"Wow!" was the only word I could utter from all I've fed my eyes with.

"This place is called Mountain Ansan Jarak-gil Trail. It's one of the most beautiful mountains here in Seoul and is a top hidden attraction place I love to visit every once in a while when I want to be all alone, my friends don't even know about this place".

"Really? But why didn't you tell them about it?"

"Because....well because I don't think they might find it interesting. They get chicken out whenever I talk about adventure, so I prefer to just do my thing you know. Actually this is my secret hide out sometimes, there's a place in here I usually sit and meditate without anyone knowing I'm here".

"Oh, Really?" she nods and I continued, "I understand, thanks for bringing me here it's a very beautiful place to be especially with you right next to me. I'll love to walk this path with you, can I?" I asked taking her hand to mine.

"Yes! That's why we're here. Just you and I and no one else" she smiles and squeeze my hand gently.

"I just wish no visitors will come by this place through out the hours we'll be here" I said and she laughs.

"You're just so selfish, Ferd".

"Of course I am when it comes to you, I don't like sharing the moment I'm meant to share with you with someone else. If is possible I'll pay off any visitors I see around and tell them to leave the vicinity for just the two of us".

"Ferd!" She screams my name and I chuckled.

"Yes, mine. Don't you like that?"

"I really do like the idea but it'll make them feel bad like they don't deserve to be here. I don't know if you understand what I'm saying?"

"Well, yeah, I do get your point. I guess for that reason I'll just pretend no one is here with us, just you and me".

"Good! I'm not sure much visitors come here during the weekdays compare to weekend. You know what, let's forget about everything and focus on us" She gave me those smiles of hers that always melt my heart and I nodded with a smile. We began walking down the mountain path with our hands entwined.

My eyes caught sight of the trees and gardens surrounding the pathway. "I love the serenity here, is really cool" I said and snake my arm around her waist.

"I know right. Come, I have something to show you" she hasten her steps and drag me along with her.

"What do you want to show me?" I ask desperately.

"You'd see" she giggles and pulls me faster and I found myself jogging down the paths with her. In a few minutes, we both stopped abruptly. "Look over there" she pointed to the right hand side of the mountain and my jaw dropped in awe. "How do you like the view of the city from here?"

"It's amazing!" I exclaimed and she chuckles.

"Yes it is. Let's take a selfie" she digs out her phone and set the camera. In as much as I'm not the picture freak, I willingly accepted to take a selfie of both of us. That's true by the way, I need more pictures of her than just the one Antonio had sent to me.

"Let me have your phone" I requested and she gave it to me, "Or no, let me use mine" I changed my mind and handed her phone back to her. I took a selfie of us with the city view as the background and I took two more selfies of us. I grin widely at the last posture and I squint at her, she was blushing. "Is that a blush I'm seeing on your cheeks?" I ask trying to make her blush harder.

"Uhh no, just the cold breeze slapping my cheeks" she lied and I chuckled. "Do you mind deleting the last picture?" She asks almost inaudibly and I raised a brow at her.

"Why? Don't you like it?"

"I do but...."

"You don't have to be shy that you pecked my cheek in the photo. Do you want to know something?" I cut in.

"What?"

"I love this particular shot than the others. It's more pleasant to gaze at, in fact that's going to be my wallpaper from today and I think it should be same with yours" I flashed her a smile and touched her cheeks.

"You're making me blush now" she glances around avoiding my gaze and that made my grin to widen.

"I love to see you blush, it makes you more prettier-" I pause and took a picture of her.

"Hey what are you doing?!" She yells while I took another shot.

"Keep talking!" I replied and took more snapshot of her. I didn't care if she was posing or not, I just took pictures of her and it was all good.

"Ferd, I'm not even posing!" She whines pouting and I captured her that way.

"Unaware pictures are the best, my love" I replied and before I knew it she ran to me and attempted to take the phone from my hands. "Better luck next time" I wink at her and slide the phone to my leather jacket.

"C'mon Ferd, those pictures aren't even beautiful".

"Is not for you to worry about, there are mine not yours. I mean the pictures are on my phone not yours, you know that's the actual reason I didn't want to use your phone in the first place" I wink at her and she frowns at me.

"You're so cunning!" She hits me lightly on the chest and I laughed and held her hand and pulls her to my chest. I held her waist and she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Let me kiss away that frown" I said and kissed her so deeply. "Now let's see, are you still upset?"

"How can I be when you've confused me with your kisses, huh?"

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah! You just casted a spell on me with your kisses" she confesses and I laughed so hard.

"Now that's a real confession. I'm so proud of myself right now to know that my kisses are magical".

"Hey, hey, hey, don't be so full of yourself right now" she replied and I chuckled softly.

I reached for her hair and removed the strands of hair on her face and tug it behind her ear. "So where do we go from here?"

"The journey is still far, we actually just started the journey so get ready to walk for another 1 hour".

"Are you for real?"

"Yes old man, don't tell me you're tired already?"

"I am tired, remember you just referred to me as old man. You have to help this old man here to get to the other side of the mountain" I fake being tired and went to rest my back on the handrails.

"Ferd, quit joking, I have a lot of places to take you to. In fact I have another surprise waiting out for you, if we don't complete this one you won't...."

"Okay okay okay, I'm not tired. What other surprise do you have for me?"

"Someone seems to be energized now" she teased wiggling her brows and I laughed.

"I'll go anywhere you want me to, my lady just tell me what the surprise is".

"I'm happy to hear that but don't be so inquisitive, be a little bit patient. Give me your hand" she requested and I did, she held on to it and I pulled her to me. She furrowed at me and I flashed a smile. "Ferd, what are you doing? Don't you want to leave here?"

"Partly yes and partly no. Don't worry, we'll have a walk but before then I have something to ask you".

"Okay... what's that?"

"This has been troubling my mind ever since I met you a month ago, I can't seem to get over it".

"Talk to me already, you're beginning to scare me, what is it?"

"Just be calm, I will tell you. You see, that day I saved your life when you almost got drown, I haven't stop thinking about why you really wanted to do that. Do you mind telling me why you wanted to take your own life? What was the reason behind it? I would have asked then but I was only concern of your safety first, but it happened that we didn't have the opportunity to talk about it again until now. I want to know why you did that".

She suddenly flinched from me and her eyes went dim like she was scared or guilty of something. I gaze down to her hands and it was trembling badly like she was having a shock or something. Her sudden reaction made the smile I was having to vanish. What is wrong with her? Why is she like that?
