Chapter 127
Ariana decided to stay in her room instead. She had plenty of time to go to him. She went to take a quick shower and changed into comfortable clothes she had packed earlier. When she was done, she left the room and went in the direction Calhoun took. They were a few more rooms lined up and she didn't know exactly which one he disappeared into but it his house, he was bound to be in one of them.
the first door she opened was empty, so she skipped the next one and tried the third door. Ariana poked her head inside and she saw a robe lying on the bed. She stepped in and got closer to the bed, that was when she heard the shower running.
"Calhoun, is that you?" She called just to be sure she wasn't in the Butler's room or something.
The shower stopped and she waited.
"If it isn't me , then who could it be?" He replied and she could hear the laughter in his voice. She sat on the bed and made herself comfortable. Calhoun now smiled more than before. He was still usual stern self sometimes when he was dealing with work but when it came to Ariana he would deal with hell just to please her.
Ariana ordered pizza while waiting for Calhoun to step out. For a man she thought he took too long in the bathroom.
As the bathroom door pushed open, Ariana wanted to ask him why he took so long but the moment her eyes fell on his body her tongue couldn't move. Calhoun stepped out with only a towel tied dangerously low. Water dripped from his hair and he was using a small towel to clean himself.
"Don't drool so much baby girl, I am all yours," He said cockily.
"I am not—" Ariana trailed off as she tried to compose herself. She had been with him long enough yet she still felt butterflies whenever she saw him like this.
Calhoun walked to the bed where she sat and held her jaw upward so that his eyes could take in all of her. Her cheeks were red and she bit her bottom lip to keep from saying anymore words.
"You like what you see?" He grinned at her as his eyes hovered in her lips. Whenever Ariana pulled her bottom lip between her teeth like she was doing, he couldn't resist.
Ariana nodded as she suddenly felt light headed. Her core ached and her fingers itched to touch but she didn't want to make the first move.
Just as Calhoun got close enough to kiss her the door bell rang.
"That must be the delivery guy," Ariana blurted jumping away from Calhoun to get the door.
Calhoun stayed back wondering when he had ordered anything, but coukdnt remember. He changed into his pyjamas and went after Ariana.
"I ordered pizza, come let's eat," she said holding out the box in front of her.
Calhoun took the box from her and walked to the kitchen. He ditched out the slices into plates and brought them to the dinning area so they could eat.
"I forgot about food," he grumbled as he chewed his pizza.
Ariana held his hand and smiled at him. The sort of smile that makes the moon to halt in the sky and shine done on only one person.
"I thought you would, so I ordered for the food," she said.
Calhoun nodded and ate his food in silence. His kept stealing glances at Ariana as she ate as well. He couldnt imagine Ethan had almost had the chance to hurt her in that elevator. What if the security at the control room had been too busy to notice?
He was already grateful at she was his. He wouldn't want to share her with anyone.
The sound of Ariana's phone ringing sliced his mind out of his thoughts and he watched as she searched herself for the phone. She slapped a hand to her head.
"I must have left it in my room," she said getting up. "I'll be right back!" She exclaimed
"You do know it is wring to leave the table right?" Calhoun said with a smirk dancing on his face.
"Sorry," she miutehd as she turned back around to get her phone.
She got to the room just as the phone started ringing again. She could also hear the sound of Calhoun's phone start ringing as well from the dinning room just a few doors down the corridor. She picked up her phone and saw that she had five missed called from Lisa. She dialed her number back and waited for her to pick up.
"Hello, Aria! Oh my God! Have you seen the entertainment news this night?" Lisa cried out.
Ariana knew Lisa to be very dramatic but she wouldn't be calling this late just for drama. Her heart started trembling as she feared another situation might have happened
"What happened, Lisa?" Ariana asked holding up her hair in her free hand and the phone on the other hand.
"You need to go turn on the television right now!" Lisa said.
Ariana didn't even bother to end the call as she moved out of the room to the living room. She met Calhoun already holding the remote scrolling through the channels.
"Did someone call you too?" Aria asked him.
"Zion called," he replied. His face was in a tight line and Ariana knew already that whatever it was, could not be a good thing.
The television screen switched to an image of Alice and Noah in the same show Alice had appeared. The headline said, 'Calhoun Lawson was set to marry Alice'. Ariana frowned as her eyes settled on the letterings.
She didn't need Calhoun to explain anything to her. She knew Alice was just being desperate.
"Is Noah crazy?" Calhoun growled and she raised her eyes to him. He looked like there was an active volcano within him and he would burst at any moment.
"Calhoun?" Ariana said reaching out for his hand.
"No, has he lost his mind!?" He roared making Ariana jump.
