Chapter 128
"No, has he lost his mind!?" He roared making Ariana jump.
Alice had gotten one of Calhoun's cousin to tell the public that she was going to marry the young president of the Lawson Group. Ariana took it as a normal thing having being used to Alice and her attics. She knew the woman wouldn't give up. She would keep fighting and struggling till the very end. But what she didn't know was that Ariana was ready to face her. She would not let them take Calhoun away from her. She would fight for her heart.
"What is the meaning of these?" Calhoun snapped picking up his phone one more time.
Ariana reached out to him and held his hand. He looked so angry nothing he would say on that phone would be good.
"Babe, you need to relax... You can't handle a situation with this amount of anger," Ariana told him.
Calhoun grit down on his teeth as he tried to calm himself. "I told Alice to stay away from me! I told her I didn't want her. Yet she went and dragged this fool of a cousin I have into this trash! What is wrong with all of them!?" Calhoun cried out. "Let me call Noah right now and get some sense into him!"
Ariana held on to his arm refusing to let him go. "Babe, no. You need to take deep breathes and think about this calmly. They might have done it to get a reaction from you. If you call them, you will be giving them what they want! Please."
Ariana's voice was like water to his flaming anger. He couldn't resist her. The hand she was running along his back was also not helping him stay in anger.
"Let me just call to give him a piece of my mind! The fool probably got paid to do this!" Calhoun spat out.
"I know he might have done worst. I have worked for Alice I know how her mind works. Come take a seat and let's thing about this," Ariana insisted. She pulled him to the sofa and sat him down.
"Alice is crazy!" Calhoun growled.
Ariana smiled and held his hand still. "I know. That was why we have to show her that we are normal and not as crazy as she is."
Calhoun calmed himself and thought things through. He couldn't keep silent anymore. He had to do something about all these crazy declarations on national television. He wouldn't want people to think he broke her heart or something. That wouldn't help his image especially in the women product department.
"I need to take you out. I need to make a declaration of my own!" He said after they had sat down.
"A declaration?" Ariana repeated.
"Yes, they made one just now. To end the drama, I need to do another with you! What sort of nonsenses is this! The fact that my cousin was with her on that show will make it even more believable!" He snapped.
"Babe, I think we should go in with Grandfather's plan. Let me move in with them. Once they know who I am, they would support us. A word from your entire family will end all of these..." Ariana suggested instead.
Calhoun nodded accepting her suggestion. "You are right but I still need to make Alice pay for trying to play with my image. I will make a complaint about her!"
"A court case?" Ariana asked with her brows furrowed.
"Yes! Someone needs to tell Alice that I am not some toy she could request for and use how she see fit!" Calhoun barked
"I understand, babe. I will help you in anyway that I can."
Calhoun felt his soul lift. He had never felt so complete in his life. Through out his childhood from the moment Noah had told him he didn't have parents anymore, he had become a man of his own. He fought against the world all alone and today, the heavens sent him his very own angel.
He raised his fingers to her jaw line and pulled her face towards him. "I love you Ariana," he whispered as he placed a kiss on her lips.
The point where their skin made contact, Ariana felt a warmth over take her and she couldn't help the glow that took over her. She use to say she loved Ethan. But the feeling she shared with Calhoun was more than just a mere love. It was a bound that weaved stronger and stronger everyday.
"Let me call Zion now," Calhoun whispered as he pulled back from the kiss.
He dialed Zion's number and he picked up as soon as he could.
"Call the lawyer, get him to send a letter to Alice Brentwood for defamation of character. As for Lily and her son, tell them I will handle them on my own. I sent an arrest warrant for her the last time, now she has come up with a new scheme. She should know it won't end well!" Calhoun ordered on the phone before hanging up.
"How about your grandfather?" Ariana asked in a small voice.
"You are not going there till all these is handled," Calhoun stated firmly.
Ariana pulled a strand of her hair behind her ear and pulled closer to Calhoun. "But we need them to be on my side. Don't we?"
Calhoun pulled her into his chest and rubbed circles on her back. "Yes we do. You will go to them, I just want to make sure this situation with Lily is handled. I won't want you to go and there and start facing issues or anything. You need to be extremely comfortable. Because you are mine..." He whispered.
"You are right babe, but I think the sooner the better. We don't know what Alice might be telling them... Meanwhile there Ethan who might commit suicide on another end..." She whispered back. "Sometimes it seems like our problems are never ending... Like we will never be together.. "
"As long as I have you close to my heart, nothing can come between us," Calhoun stated placing a kiss on her forehead.
