Chapter 131

Sofia refused to give up like her sister had done. The moment she ended the call she grabbed her keys and walked out of her sister's house. She couldn't continue staying with someone that saw things different from her. As she drove out of the compound she dialed Lily Lawson's number. She would be needing the woman if she planned on destroying Ariana's life completely.

"Lily, meet me up at the café just two blocks after your place," she stated.

"Oh,Sofia Brentwood. Of course, I will be there," Lily said with excitement.

Sofia drove as fast as she could to he place. All the while her mind was focused on one thing, how she was going to destroy Ariana.

She had relented and watched from the shadows when Alice had taking the drivers seat. It was fun, seeing Ariana suffer from all the emotional pain the interviews Alice did must have caused her but bow that Alice was giving up, she had to take back her car. She must ruin Ariana.

She got to the café and parked her car, then she walked into the place and picked a corner table to wait for Lily. She had seen it in the woman's eyes that she was cunny. Lily Lawson didn't exactly hate Ariana, she hated Calhoun and Sofia knew this.

But that was not her concern. This was going to be a win-win situation for the woman. She would help her not only destroy Ariana but Calhoun as well. It was clear that Calhoun loved Ariana which simply meant of they could break Ariana, the pain would be unbearable for Calhoun as well.

"Hello, Sofia," Lily greeted as she positioned herself unto the opposite seat. She wore one of her over dramatic dresses again. Sofia wondered if the woman knew what dressing according to the seasons meant at all! It was hot outside and she was all dressed up in wool and velvet like someone coming from the north pole.

"So, you called. I presume it is something interesting?" Lily asked after she had settled.

Sofia peeled her eyes off her dress, she didn't have to worry about the woman's choice if clothe what mattered was her brain and delivery.

Sofia clapped her hands instead, ignoring Lily's question and gaining the attention of the waiter.

"Yes, what can I offer you ma'am?" The man asked.

"I want a cold glass of smoothie," Sofia said and waved towards Lily. "Ask the lady what she wants as well."

"Same thing she is having," Lily replied in a high pitched voice.

Sofia had to force herself not to roll her eyes at the woman. So she was hot yet she had decided to cover herself up like some animal.

"Lily, I need your help," Sofia stated anyway.

"Obviously, it is what I offer," lily replied with a smile.

"Alice is cutting out of the race. Your nephew threatened her and somehow she has chickened out. But you see I am not dropping this matter. I need you to help me deal with Ariana," she said.

Lily narrowed her eyes and watched the younger woman. Her eyes were shiny with mischief already and she couldn't wait to hear what Sofia was going to offer. She needed money for her and her family and that was what she was after. Nothing else.

"So, how do you plan on doing that?" Lily asked her.

"I heard she was going to move in with you soon..." Sofia stated.

"Yes, but Calhoun has not said a word ever since. Mr. Lawson is still very uncertain about the whole thing but yes, maybe..." Lily trailed off.

"It doesn't matter. She needs your approval before they proceed into any stage. Ariana is a very traditional person, I know her well enough. She would convince him and she would come," Sofia stated.

Lily nodded happy that she now had Sofia on her side. She could work her plan around her instead. Especially since Noah had shown interest in her.

"If you believe your ex-best friend would come to the mansion, then I guess she will," Lily said.

"Okay great. Now when she does come over, I want you to make her life a living hell! Point out her mistakes to the entire house hold and make then hate her! Once that happens she will be so broken she will reject Calhoun on her own. We won't even have to move a finger." Sofia was certain of her plans. The kind of upbringing Ariana had meant she could never get into a relationship without having the permission or blessings of her partner's parents or guardian. Ariana would call off the whole thing. Lily just had to do her part well.

"No problem my dear. I assure you that I will get it done. The only problem is that, you need to do something for me in return..." Lily said in a sing song manner.

Sofia frowned and glared at the older woman.

"What do you mean?" She asked her.

"Well, if I am going to do this for you. It means you will have to do something for me in return..."

"But you are already getting something! I know you hate Calhoun and if we do this, he will suffer enough. Isn't that what you have always wanted? For Calhoun to make a huge mistake and for your sons to finally get credit and recognition?" Sofia spat.

Lily looked a bit taken aback by her reaction but she had come prepared.

"Yes, you are right. And in all of that, what you fail to realize it that, I don't care what happens to Calhoun. I care about what happens to my sons. You see, with your sister, the plan was that she could give me and my husband a contract deal that would have earned us a lot of money," she said skipping the part where she thought Alice could also marry Noah and they could share in her inheritance.

"What are you driving at?" Sofia asked growing impatient.

"You will have to offer something in return for this game we are about to play. I need a victory card too."
