Chapter 35
The bright sun escaped from behind the black curtain. It was like gold basking Ethan's face. The memories of last night were still active just like the sands of time. Whenever it runs out he turns it over and it restarts again.
It was something he couldn't get out of his head. He had the moment of his life with Aria. He didn't have to wait till their wedding night.
He moved his hands to the side, he felt for Aria but he didn't feel anything.
Ethan opened his eyes to see but there was no one. He stood up from the bed.
Was it just his thoughts? Wasn't she there with him? Did he even sleep with her?
The turned around and placed his legs on the cold floor. His eyes spotted evidence of her existence. Her earrings.
He took the gold piece and squeezed it in his arms. He searched for his trousers and he found them laying on the floor.
Ethan grabbed it and placed the earrings inside them. He placed it over his legs and dressed up.
He searched for his wallet across his room and he found it under his bed. He felt for his phone in his pocket and he bought it out.
He had placed it on silence before he got here. He had received 7 missed calls from Kelvin.
Only God knew why he was calling that way. Ethan looked around the room to see where he actually was. It might be a small bar but the rooms were neatly furnished. A lot of art pieces were put up.
He wasn't much of an art person but the work that was put up here mesmerized him.
The replica of the Mona Lisa and the pictures that represented the French renaissance.
Ethan strolled across the room as his eyes fell on the mini statues on the table side, alongside his car keys.
They looked like ancient idols and goddesses. The sudden ring of his phone snapped him out of his fascination.
"Good morning Sir, I am terribly sorry to disturb you this morning. But I have good news, the stocks are high after your apology video was posted on the internet." Kelvin spoke getting straight to the point.
"Apology video?" He asked confused.
"Yes sir, it was posted this morning on the news you can check it out at C.W.l TV news," Kelvin said joyfully.
"I am really proud of your courage sir," He said with a serious tone.
"Thank you, Kelvin, Sincerely speaking it would have been much better if I knew what it was you were talking about, " Ethan replied to his assistant.
"Sir it must have spilled passed your mind, anyway, your uncle is here. You were supposed to arrive at work three hours ago, this is already eleven am please be here soon" he requested before he ended the call.
Ethan rubbed both of his eyes with his fingers. He didn't have time for Kelvin's nonsense. He grabbed all his things around the room and walked out of the room.
The room was filled with seas of people late in the morning. It felt as if the world never stops partying.
He walked to the receptionist that attended to him earlier.
"Hello where do I pay for my stay, " he said flashing her a small smile.
Ethan was attractive so every girl wanted to be with him. The receptionist fixed her hair and lowered her gown to show more of her breast.
"What's your name pretty boy," She said before she placed her hands in her mouth.
"Ethan," he said as he placed his wallet on the counter...
"Ethan your stay and food as been taken care of by someone. She didn't drop her name," She said as she inspected his body.
"You don't have to worry about that I know the name." He said with a stern voice.
"Please drop a review and make sure you come back soon." She said with a smile before he walked away.
He had to first go home to shower before he could reach his office. Then the thought hit him as he walked down to his car.
How was it possible for Aria to know he was there? Did she perhaps put a tracker on his phone? This bar was on a semi abandoned street.
The unlocked his car with his keys and the driver jumped awake. He had slept in his car.
"How many times have I told you to go home every time I stay pit late?" Ethan asked as he settled inside the car.
"Sir, I was uncertain about the time you would leave the bar so I just slept off in here, " He said after he yawned.
"Take me home I need to shower and leave for work. It's getting late already." Ethan ordered before the driver reversed and drove out of the club.
The ride to the house was a thirty minutes drive, lucky for him there was barely any traffic. The car went smoothly across the road without no stopping.
They arrived at his villa and he dropped off the car. He ran inside the house along with the car as it opened and closed automatically.
Ethan immediately entered his room, he showered as fast as he could. He wore his clothes as fast as possible.
He barely drank some water as he rushed out of the house. He sprinted down the stairs.
It was only a Matter of time before the driver got him in front of his work place.
Ethan ran into the building where his uncle waited.
"You are late again!" His unclear deep voice resonated around the room...
"Well that's not why I am here, I'm here to show you these," he said before he showed him his phone.
Ethan checked the video and played it.
"I know people have called me a bad person, I have come here to apologize for myself. Please find a place in your heart to forgive me." His own voice shocked him.
It was his voice, but he never made such a video.
