Chapter 32
Ayla's Pov:
I sat still at my place not moving or saying anything, I gulped down the lump that form on my throat. I gripped my skirt tightly on my fist under the table, as I'm literally shaking with fear when I heard him say that name.
I don't know what to say. I could hear my brother's nagging yet curious voice behind me but all I could see was that day flashing infront of me, just when I thought of forgetting it for few minutes here he brought another traumatic event for me to go through.
I rubbed my head nervously, as my brother kept asking me multiple times who's Arjun, what should I tell him? that the one who destroyed my life? Urgh!! No I can't, atleast not now. No one would believe me after seeing those videos.
"Ayla, I'm aski-"
I closed my eyes, biting my lower lip in distress just hearing his name from my brother's mouth alone was enough to bring my worst nightmare back to alive. How easily he invaded into my house.
Is he stalking me here too?
I mentally scoffed at that question. Do you seriously need to ask that?
"Ayla..!!! Oye?? Seriously?"
Then how did he never approached me till date but why now? why all of a sudden he's doing this?
"Mom! Dad! Look at her? She's not even answering. Then definitely she's hiding something, Ayla who's he? Who's that Arjun? Oh come on tell us but he better not be your boyfriend Ayla"
Just one fucking parcel and there he gave an little intro for himself.
He knows I won't say a single thing about him that's why he's reminding me that I belong to him.
"OMG...!! OMG...!! Baby is that true? Arjun? Who is it?" I was startled to hear my mom's excited loud voice.
I turned around to face her I blinked my eyes she looks so happy, she strided towards me cupping my face tenderly "Is that true? Is he your boyfriend?"
I was so shocked to hear that from her and before I could reply her I got interrupted by my dad and brother.
"What the fuck? You better not say he's your boyfriend," my brother angry voice can be heard loud and clear.
"Ayla, is that why you looked so down. Were you afraid of us thinking we won't approve of you dating?"
I looked at them too stunned to speak. Why are they assuming things? I was shit scared of how would they react but definitely this was not the reaction I had expected from them.
"What dad?" my brother looked at my dad with a disbelief look on his face, "I can't believe this. Are you serious right now?" he shake his head negatively and turned to look at me with clenched jaw.
He seems so worried and angry making me confused while my parents looks so excited.
"Hey" he sighed taking a deep breathe "Reply nah? Who is he? Is he... Is he really your boyfriend? He mentioned you as love here?" he shoved the letter infront of my face making me stand "Don't you think you're too young to have one? Ma and Pa don't approve of this. I do not like him. Who send parcel like this without even meeting us and getting approval from us. What kind of boyfriend you have? And no you're too young to have one" he said while shaking his head with a disapproval look on his face.
My mouth was hung opened at his statement. Did he just? I was taken back at his outburst. What is he saying? He's making the situation even more worse.
My mom went towards him and twisted his left ear "Who said we won't approve? She's well enough to know what's good and what's bad for her. And you young man don't talk to your sister like that."
My brother took a step away from her by holding his ear while whining "Mom, what? but I..."
Mom glared at him "You shut up" while turning towards me.
I know she's expecting me to say something now, I look so dumbfounded as I don't know how to reply her.
They just assumed.
Assumed things just like how my friends sorry ex friends did.
Fear started to crawl in me. Just one parcel and he made them believe he's my boyfriend.
Is this how my life supposed to be? No one is gonna ask me what happened?
I opened my mouth only to close it. I tried to say something but nothing is coming out of my mouth. What do I tell them?
"I'm disappointed Princess. Is this true? Is he your boyfriend? I never been a strict father to you. You could have told us sooner. Why are you still not saying anything? Me and your mom also had love arrange then why you're still hesitating to tell us?" My dad sad voice can be heard.
"No nooo... Da.. dad it's not like that" I shake my head negatively by going towards him. I hold his hand to say he's not my boyfriend but before I could my mom interrupted me.
"Do you really think that we won't approve? Is that why you didn't say anything to us?"
"This is ridiculous. What are you both implying that she should date? OMG!! Are you guys our parents? How could you say something like that" my brother whined while looking so disappointed by their reaction.
We all looked at him. He is just making it worse every minute.
"Riyo, its not like that. Can you please be quite?"
He scoffed at me "What..? You want me to approve of your relationship? No way in hell I'm doing that."
He won't shut up. Will he?
"This boy" my mom shake her head "Riyo, you're young and you don't know what love is. Me and your dad went through so much. Ar first our parents didn't approve of our relationship and they started to marry me off to someone else but we both fought for each other. Though later they agreed but still it was too much for us to handle at the young age. At that time we decided if any of our children is in love then we will check whether he/she good enough of our kids. Ofcourse we won't give our kids to some time passers. If you guys truly love each other and the background is stable for you guys to live together then we will approve."
My mom gave one ass explanation but my brother didn't look so convinced. He still has that disapproving look on his face.
"Yes princess, don't be afraid let us know." My dad encouraged me to tell them.
"Uhmm.. maa... Dad I... Its.. how do I..." I seriously don't know what to tell.
They're nodding their head at me asking me to continue. I cleared my throat biting my lower lips in nervous.
"Arjun he's a friend of Aarav"
My mom looked confused while asking "Wait a minute Aarav? Didn't you had a crush on him? Then how did Arjun and you ended up together?"
I scoffed while taking a deep breathe to calm down. Why the they're keep on assuming things. Why can't they just let me tell them.
He raped me mom. How am I supposed to date him.
"Wait what? You had a crush? Why nobody told me that?" My brother as always exaggerating it.
But for you question nope not anymore!
"Hey, why are so quiet? Let us know"
They're starting to pissing me off with their constant questions.
"Will you all please shut up. Its not what it looks like. Why are you guys making so much fuss about this. He just send me a parcel because he is helping me with my project. It's related to that." I yelled at them not able to controlling it anymore.
"What?" Mom looked sad "I thought he was your-"
"Hey then why were you so nervous when I mentioned his name and you acted like deer caught in the headlights? What about that" my annoying brother asked me.
This is why he's so annoying always keeping his nose in others business.
I stammered "Because.... because.. I wasn't expecting it today and before I... Before I could... you guys started to talk nonsense so I couldn't able to say anything."
Mom sighed saying while my dad was looking behind me "But I really thought he was boyfriend. I was really excited to know him."
It just angered me more "Mom just stop it right there as I said before He's my friend that's it he's not my boyfriend and never will be."
"Wow.... What a way to greet me! You wounded my heart, little one. If I'm not your boyfriend then who's? "
I heard a voice behind me making me stiffened in the place. I slowly turned around to look at the source of the voice, not wanting to believing my ears. I half expected it to be my hallucinations but my eyes widened at the sight of him. How? and more importantly what's he doing here?
I mean he's here in my house, standing infront me and my parents.
I'm doomed. What he's gonna do now? Hadn't he done enough!
I gasped while I saw him coming towards me. I opened my mouth to say something but as usual nothing is coming out of my damn mouth. I took a shaky breathe when he cupped my face making me look at him all the while he looked at me lovingly. Tears welled up in my eyes when he came closer ignoring my personal space.
He looked at me for a while then he bend down to my level by placing a kiss on my forehead, his lips lingered on my head for few seconds, inhaling my scent he whispered only for me to hear.
"Missed you so much, baby girl" soon I felt his hand wrapping around me pulling me into a hug.
