"Stop it!" Sadie yelled as they whipped me again.
I was leaning against the wall, feeling drained. My vision blurred as another strike from the whip hit me. I felt dizzy from the blood lost and exhaustion, but still didn't give them the answers.
"Then one of you tell me how to break into the pack house." Darrel snarled.
"Fine!" Sadie sighed.
Darrel stopped and turned towards her, allowing me to crumble to the ground.
"You can break in through the basement. No one is down there and no one walks along the hall that the basement leads to. It's up to you when you get out of there to not be seen." She explained.
I frowned, doesn't she know we always have that place swarmed with warriors now? I mean, it's their hangout after training. I gave her a confused look, but Sadie rolled her eyes at me before focusing on Darrel again.
He grinned and pat her on the head, "Now, was that so hard?"
"Yes." Sadie whispered.
He raised an eyebrow, but left anyway. Once the door shut Sadie let out a breath and crawled over to me. She gently picked me up and leaned me against the wall.
I could barely breathe and my whole body hurt like hell. Every time I moved the wounds from the whip burned. I hung my head, tired from today.
Sadie stayed beside me, "I left a note for Iris...it's a clue as to where they're holding us." She whispered.
I looked at her, "And where are we, exactly?"
"An abandoned factory just past the city. It's...it's where hunters study us."
I swallowed, I knew something was different about Darrel. He's not a werewolf, vampire, or anything else. I knew at the beginning that he was human, but the strong scent of silver and wolfsbane gave the hunter part away. I was just too tired to actually think this far.
"Iris will come and get us, I know for sure." Sadie murmured.
I closed my eyes as a dizzy spell washed over me. "She better not, she's pregnant. She can send Reese and a few others."
"Well, either way, they'll find us." Sadie voiced.
I rested my head against the wall, hopefully they do. I can't last long without my wolf healing me and with wolfsbane going through my body.
Iris
"They took my sister?" I whispered.
Henry nodded as the doctor continued working in his leg. I glanced down at it and clenched my jaw. Whoever attacked him and Sadie sliced his thigh open, all the way to the bone.
Henry groaned as the doctor started to stitch it up.
"Can't you numb it?" He whimpered.
The doctor frowned, "I'm so sorry, but I can't. There is no numbing medicines for werewolves. At least, medicine that lasts for three hours."
"She left a note though." He suddenly said, handing me something from his shirt pocket.
I gently grabbed it and thanked him before reading.
"Abandoned factory outside of city. Is where Achilles is held."
I frowned, there are five different factories outside of the city. I ran my hand through my hair, but this does get us closer to finding him.
"Reese, I need to see you in my office." I mind-linked my Beta.
"Okay, I'm currently taking a shit. Depending on how slow you are today, when are you gonna be there?"
"Seriously? At least five minutes."
"Alright."
I shook my head, that man seriously has no chill.
It took me eight minutes to get there, but Reese was just running to the office by the time I opened the door. I raised an eyebrow and laughed before walking in.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"Nothing." I chuckled.
"Whatever, so what is the emergency?"
"Sadie found out where they're holding him. An abandoned factory outside of the city."
"But there are five of them..."
"I know, six warriors will go to each factory. I'm going-
"You're pregnant, you are not going. Achilles wouldn't want you to." Reese stated, cutting me off.
I sighed, "I can still attack and kill them."
"Iris, you-
"ALPHA IRIS WE CAUGHT FOUR HUNTERS!"
We both looked up at Taylor as he barged through the door. I frowned, about to question him when they threw four hunters into the office. I walked over to them and tilted my head.
"These are hunters? These are the people we're supposed to be afraid of? They look like high schoolers!" I exclaimed.
Reese shrugged, "They look like ugly ass birds to me, but whatever."
I rolled my eyes, "We're going to cut to chase because I have to pee and-
"I have to finish taking a shit."
"Seriously Reese?"
"What? I had Taco Bell."
"Dumbass."
"Oh, that stuff makes your butt feel like it's on fire." One of the hunters chirped.
"I know man, imagine if we had that before coming here."
"Ah, that would suck."
"Can we stop talking about shits and Taco Bell? Which factory are you hiding Achilles in?" I snapped.
"We're not telling you." Three of them answered at once.
"Why would we tell you?" A fourth snarled.
I raised an eyebrow, "Do you want to see my feral side?"
He gulped, "N-no, but I'm still not telling you. Last time that happened we had a vampire break into the other factory. Now we're stuck at the factory on the west side of the city! I'm not going through that again."
I stared at him, this guy is stupid.
"Damn, he's like the Moon Moon of hunters." Reese mumbled.
"Are you fucking serious, Mark? You did this last time too!" another snapped.
I rolled my eyes, "Reese, get together six warriors and I'm coming too."
"You're pregnant, Iris. You're not coming." Reese stated before ordering Taylor to throw the hunters in the dungeon.
I frowned, "He's my mate, Reese. I have to go."
"I know that, but you also have to think of the baby. You're what? Three months pregnant? Werewolves give birth around four or five months, you're too close to the due date. You could seriously harm the baby if you go."
I sighed in defeat, he's right. If I go and end up getting hurt then I could lose my baby. I sat down and looked at him.
"Bring him back."
He nodded, "I will, but we won't be able to go for another two days."
"Why?"
"That huge hunting festival is happening tomorrow night and getting to that factory won't be easy. They'll be in the forest and the city. And I still have to make a plan on getting him. That place is most likely swarmed with hunters."
I groaned, why can't things just work out for a change? I did understand the needing to make a plan part though.
"Fine, but I'm making the plan with you."
"You sure? It's going to be stressful, there will be flaws we'll have to figure out."
"I'm positive."
He nodded and started walking out when I remembered something.
I smirked, "Oh and Reese, there's toilet paper on your foot."
"Damn it!"
